Good points and I see it that way too. None of this is confirmed yet but these are decent sources. Just waiting for the official word from the Ravens.

It starting to heat up and get exciting. The Broncos definately want to move Marshall...and they will. Now..(if the Ravens want Marshall)....the Ravens are in competition with the teams who have an earlier first round pick. If those teams are in the NFC then that makes it even harder. If Ozzie wants Marshall, then he might have to give up more in order to compete.

What about Tim Tebow as a Raven? Say in the 3rd round. He might drop to the third round and he's been a spectacular football player for 4 years. Let Troy Smith go, get a better back up in Tebow, develop his mechanics over the next 2 years, make a "Suggs" package around him,...if Joe goes down I think he wins more games than Smith and you must have 2 good QB's to make it through a season.

I don't see how he can help the offense get better. Ozzie won't handicap Flacco with 2 36 year old receivers (Owens and Mason)...that would be like having Ray Rice play in cement shoes. They need speed there...field stretchers...burners....some young guys who can grow with Joe. At this stage of his career, Cory Ivy can cover him.

104-100 over Virginia Tech. That was a great back and forth game to watch and a huge Maryland victory. They had never won at VT and this win solidified second place in the ACC and a first round tournament bye. It was a team victory despite Vasquez scoring a career high 41 points. Now he's only behind Juan Dixon and Len Bias on Marylands all-time scoring list. Hayes, Milborne, Gregory and Mosley played a big part in scoring and rebounding as Maryland scored 104 points. Duke stands in the way. If they can beat them Wednesday night then it would bring about a 1st place tie in the ACC. A big "IF" because Duke slaughtered them in their previous meeting.

Maybe he'll light a fire under Suggs...got to improve the QB pressures.

That game had me on the edge of my seat all the way. Insane fantastic finish. It was an important win too (19) because not as many ACC teams will get into the tournament this year. It was also a time to reflect on what an incredible career Vasquez has had at Maryland. Let this sink in...we're talking about the ACC All Time... with the it's huge list of incredible players and Vasquez is the FIRST ACC player to reach 2,000 points, 700 assists and 600 rebounds. It was definately the right and best thing for him to come back this year.

I read this article by Banks while trying to get a grasp on how the Free Agent market will work this year. I'm trying to see how Ozzie can move players off the roster while upgrading the talent pool and he has a decent hand as far as the amount of RFA's on the Ravens roster. He can increase his draft picks with lower tenders hoping teams will be tempted to take some of his RFA's, use high tenders to make some trade deals to get some good draft picks (again...hoping teams will overspend on picks because they are desperate to upgrade a position) and he can shop picks for RFA's who he thinks would be of higher value than the picks he has to surrender to get them. To have a successfull 2010 FA period the Ravens have to be creative and aggressive in this area because the UFA cubbard is bare. I get the sense that this could happen from the Ravens 'State of the Ravens' press conference because they seemed comfortable that they had the talent and the smarts to do well in and unstable market.
