  1. I didn't expect the orioles to be doing this bad. I was leaving town on Friday (Opening Day) and Tejada had just tied the game up...the crowd was excited and I thought the O's were going to get their 2nd win. I come back to find out they were swept. It seems their division is loaded and that it's going to be a slow and frustrating start for this season until they can find an opponent that they can compete with.
  2. If it's for character issues then they should let Rthslxxssbrrgrrr go too. Why have a double standard?
  3. I forgot about Saunders...the Ravens have some serious proven brains on offense Most of the pieces are in place for this offense to take off. Let's hope 2010 is the season this moves from theory to reality.
  4. If that's a Congressman, then that is really disturbing. He's not even janitor material.
  5. BallT...when this started I thought "WTF has BallT got me into? Hey...that kid can sing! Then my sick mind saw me singing that song to all the gang who post here... ... because...because I will always...sniff...tear....youknowwhatImean.
  6. "Allow me to get my post count up and say Gaither is a mauler. In a perfect world, they would find a way to have Gaither and Oher anchor the ends of that line for the next ten years and it would be dominant. Now...we know Gaither wants (and deserves) LT money. Therein lies the problem. This is why some say "the Ravensa should get what they can now" because next year they might get nothing. That makes sense. I see no way Gaither willingly moves to RT. It would cost him millions. Plus he can play LT on many teams. The market is there. I say let Ozzie solve this riddle...I'm not smart enough. I don't want to lose him. I don't want to see the Ravens get nothing. How they can manage the CAP and keep both is beyond me. You have to pay the Piper and some other part of the team would get weaker and suffer. It's a riddle.
  7. It was a good game. Yea they couldn't hit with men on base and close the game out. Need help...my 14 year old daughter wants an O's jersey and hat...what player should she wear...maybe somebody popular with the girls?
  8. I was shocked they traded him to a division rival. I don't remember something like this happening before, but they got great value. I guess for the Eagles it was dump salary and bonuses, dump McNabb while they can get something for him and send a message to Donavan that playing air guitar comming out of the tunnel is not intimidating to NFL players. For the Indigenous Persons???? Looks like "Win Now." plus "We have to get rid of our draft picks." plus "Let's be ignorant and keep Campbell in the dark." The Eagles won't win with Kolb. The best thing that could happen to McNabb is that he becomes one pissed off, agressive. revenge filled guy. I never saw that fire in him.
  9. With Cousins I kept thinking "..a little better than Kip Vickers". I think the O line as it stands now is the best chance for the Ravens to have a dominant O line. I like having Gaither and Oher anchoring the ends. I like the overall youth. They can't keep changing it every year. On the other hand it has a weakness or they wouldn't have to keep TE's and RB's in to pass protect on so many plays. Sometimes that is necessary because of the blitzing, but at some point, the line has to be able to handle the bulk of the protection schemes...5 on 5...so Cam can flood the field with receivers. They definately can road grade...that's not a weakness.
  10. Hey....it would be OK if Cousins can lock down the right side, Oher moves to left and the Ravens get a 1st or early 2nd round pick for Gaither....but I'm not sold on Cousins... I say it would be "OK" but not "great" because I think Gaither can become a dominant player and that's nothing to give up on so lightly.
  11. Nice find crav! I just watched the 2000 highlights...love that phrase "If we win, we're in"...the atmosphere at that game was something special. Corney Dillon set a 278 yard single game rushing record that year, but against the Ravens D he had 12 carries for 9 yards in one game and 16 carries for 23 yards in the second game. We forget how dominant that D was. The Raiders had the #1 rushing attack in the NFL, but in the AFC Championship game they only made 24 yards on 17 carries for a 1.7 ypc. I think I'm going to put out $49 today for the NFL Game rewind to carry me through until training camp...
  12. "We have to keep up with the Bengals crav."
  13. I want him...McLain and Arenas. Here's Cody's dance...
  14. Solid points yeager. Because of age and mileage, I kept waiting for Stover to go "Al Del Grecco" the last few years...especially in the playoffs late in the year when his leg got tired. Didn't happen.
  15. I love his attitude... That is exactly what the Ravens need to take the offense to the next level...they get to the line of scrimage, look at the D and intuitively know what each is going to do. This could be a very special year for the Ravens offense. They have a great...maybe tops in the NFL...RB combo in Rice, McLain and McGahee. The line should be lights out this year. If this passing game takes off in Flacco's third year...look out. The whole unit looks like they were put together to mature or bare fruit this year. ....So far it looks like attendance is great at the Castle.
  16. Rackers is mrschanney's favorite player. Cundiff scored the only points vs the Colts in the playoffs. The new overtime rule makes no sense to me. Wouldn't you first try it out during the regular season? Why is nobody biting on Gaither?
  17. lol! Here's one fans comment...
  18. I'll go with what Ray says...he should be the best to recognize the qualities needed for leadership. In Rice's rookie year he sold me. During camp McGahee was hurt, McLain out of shape...so Rice was getting all the carries...and the beatings but he just jumped right back up. Michael Oher has that desire, drive and determination. He can elevate that line. Have to agree on Webb...that secondary got better overnight when he started. He was showing them up...showing them how to play fast and physical. Suggs could emerge as a leader this year. He's off to a good start by being here for the OTA's. "I'm too young to be a leader...but wait till you can see the moves I got!"
  19. There are times when no change is good. They screwed up the Pro bowl and now this. I hate being forced to watch it in prime time. Hate it. The NFL is always trying to get money out of us and this time I really feel their hands in my pockets without asking. It's not for our convenience. It's not fan friendly at all. It's "Screw you we want more money".
  20. It's still unfair. If you win the coin toss then you don't want the ball. The plan is to hold them to a field goal or less...if they have a 4th and 8 from the 25 they will probably kick the FG. Now you have the ball...and 4 downs to make 10 yards when the other team only had 3.
  21. "Here we go! High expectations."
  22. I like the move. He's an upgrade over Edwards.... but not over Bannon. I think he'll flourish here. Much needed depth. Ozzie can still draft a DE in the 1st round...or a WR for that matter...whatever...he can go BPA. They still need OT depth....Cousins is too risky and Yanda needs to stay inside.
  23. "After a few drinks even she looks like fair game to me!"
