and the facelift continues... Also nice... http://www.baltimoreravens.com/media_library/Videos/2010/05/com_Exclusive_Spring_Fling_Day_3_PM_Photo_Shoots.aspx?id=c7a8b6cbf0934c5985af916ef1477c29
  2. "Can you do one on Ben Rthsxsslssbrrrgrrr? Like how he's the face of the franchise and now when you hear "Steelers" you think of a guy walking up to an unexpecting woman with his hee-haw out saying "It's OK"....and just think of the fun fans are going to have when he takes the field! I can see the signs now."
  3. He means it. Good for McPhail. Now...follow through.
  4. The Ravens were 9-7 last year.
  5. Everything is setting up perfectly for Joe to have a break out season. I see it happening. This is his 3rd year plus it's his 3rd year with the same OC and system. The O line is maturing and should be very solid this year. Joe has a great running game. And last but not least...he has legit targets to throw to. Lots of them.
  6. Certainly. And I...with my sensitive hands and compassionate nature, shall run the training tables.
  7. "We might have to dedicate a forum to follow these incredibly brave and talented young women."
  8. "Well...as long as these guys aren't gay I guess the sheep is ok."
  9. I watched all 3 games and besides really enjoying it, I was very happy for the hard core, loyal Orioles fans and for the players because they've been through hell. Let's see what happens tonight against the Stankees.
  10. Dear Red Sox Nation,
  11. I hear his staff is using Google. All they have to do is type in the height and weight of the player they want and "Presto!"...they have the guy they want.
  12. Bart wasn't even blocked while Kindel did beat his man. You know how the refs are...that hit by Kindel would be flagged for 'helmit to helmit'. He will have to learn how to avoid the roughing the passer penalties in the NFL because his hard hitting stle will draw attention. It's a shame really...the league rules try to stop talent like this from wreaking havoc.
  13. Yea...and that looks good on paper...and 'on paper' could make a big difference...but we won't know until week 1 will we? Something tells me Kindel will contribute right away. That same voice says Suggs will have a Pro Bowl season so a lot of QB's will be on their ass and that is all good for the secondary. Now...Food for Thought..."If"...they can get Cody in solid condition and game shape (where he can take on and occupy 2 interior linemen)......he and Ngata could do stunts and slants in the middle to free up Ngata and collapse the middle. Push the pocket. Nobody can handle Ngata 1 on 1. Cody can make that happen but he's a year or 2 away from being like a Sam Adams...but the potential is there. A great pass rush can happen but there are 2 rookies to bring along and develop for that to happen. So the question is...How soon?
  14. Good read from the Ravens website...
  15. My "Big Picture/Purple Koolaid outlook on this is.... 1. Corner is the only team weakness on a loaded 2010 Ravens team. They made the playoffs with the same CB's and a weak pass rush. It's a stronger pass rushing unit (on paper) for this season. 2. Last year, Joe Flacco had only 1 WR and a RB who caught everything. Now he has a bevy of weapons to throw too..,..besides more points, that should mean moving the chains and increased time of possesion. Less time for the D to be on the field. The downside: I don't think the Ravens can win a Super Bowl with these corners.
  16. I thought my anxiety was gone...but it's not... As it stands, nobody will run on the Ravens....just plain stupid...futile. No...no.....they'll just throw all day at their corners! It's obvious. It will take an opposing OC all of 5 seconds to make this gameplan. "Let's see here...Ngata, Gregg, Mt Cody, Ray Lewis, Johnson....no...no...not that way...OH!..." We've been talking about this all off season because a serious weakness has not been addressed. CB. The 2010 roster is almost set as far as who the Ravens have assembled for camp. So Ozzie add's an ageing vet...the guy isn't playing elsewhere because he's not starting material. I don't see a solid corner who can help Foxworth. Foxworth played better as the year progressed. I don't think the team can count on Webb...he's the reason the coverage got better. He probably won't be able to return to his 2009 form until 2011....but he could be an upgrade over whoever is in his place when he returns around mid season. Ed Reed can't cover the whole field but he will shut down some of it and get his INT's. But that's 2 guys...you need 3-4. Definately 3 if you want to go somewhere. The only counter the Ravens have is to rush 4 and drop everybody else back. They have to hope Suggs returns 110% motivated and hungry. That Kindle will provide instant QB pressure. That the guys who are healthy and can play CB, play like they never have before...meaning way better! They have to thank God that there are not as many Elite QB's to face like last year. And finally...that this loaded offense puts up tons of points because the D will get burned by the better passing attacks. Do you think that will be enough to get the Ravens deep into the playoffs? Where they will definately meet and greet some Elite QB's and WR's? Believe me...I love this 2010 roster. It's loaded...but Achilles had his heel and the secondary is the Ravens. We'll have our share of nail biters this year. "Don't worry max...we got the teams back."
  17. It's one thing if John Clayton or Mort report a rumor...I might give it some credibility...but not "co-workers told me today that a friend told him". Anyway...Gaither is a Raven for 2010. It's too late for him to go anywhere....no teams took the 1st round bait which should help Ozzie in his attempt to sign him to a fair, long term contract. I can understand fans wanting a CB like Asomugha...then the Ravens are definately Super Bowl bound.
  18. I don't see anything derogatory about that statement.

    Hi

Welcome ScottishRaven! "Your choice reflects a deep wisdom inside." The Ravens are loaded and ready to hunt this year....and you are right about the home game atmosphere...we go all out and have a blast. We have the 1st or 2nd best home field record. Look forward to seeing you post this year. "I know our beer might not be as good as yours but...have a brew...it's free."
  20. At the end of Thursday Night I was worried because I thought of the 2004 draft when the Ravens did not have a 1st round pick. It was the worst draft in their history. 2004 Ravens Draft: 1 Traded pick to NE for Pats 2003 1st-round selection (19th overall) for (QB) Kyle Boller 2 51 Dwan Edwards DT Oregon State 3 82 Devard Darling WR Washington State 4 Traded pick to Jacksonville for WR Kevin Johnson 5 153 Roderick Green OLB Central Missouri State 6 187 Josh Harris QB Bowling Green 6 199 Clarence Moore WR Northern Arizona 7 244 Derek Abney, compensatory WR/RS Kentucky 7 246 Brian Rimpf, compensatory I also thought of the great picks they had in the mid+20's...Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Michael Oher...even Todd Heap at 31. I struggled to remember any 2nd round success they have had. Ray Rice is the only hit IMO. Yet I felt it was the best move Ozzie could make in a deep draft. They needed those 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round picks to rejuvinate this roster. And rejuvinate they did. The D Front 7 is beginning to age but not anymore. Nobody will run on this group. Trying to run up the middle against Ngata, Cody and Ray is as stupid as intentionally smashing your finger with a hammer. With Suggs and Kendel comming off the edges it's 'pick your poison' on who to double team. Their speed will seal the edges and Kendel can bring a man down fast. I think they will take time developing and working Cody into the mix because there is no pressing need with Gregg, Pryce and Redding available. As for not getting the CB help they need...they were never in the right place to pick a good one. Just the way the cards fell. Why waste a pick on a longshot/stretch? Ozzie put it straight by saying. Joe Flacco has two big targets to add to Bouldin, Heap, Stallworth and Mason...getting David Reed just might turn into a great slot receiver. Weapons...Viable Options...when's the last time we've seen this Ravens fans? Ozzie's done a great job this off season. He's delivered the goods. It's up to the coaches to develop them and utilize them properly. I think the coaching staff is great so this is going to be one loaded team in 2010.
  21. "...and we can't wait to meet you crav after all the nice things you said about us."
