  1. I soooooo want to believe this... Despite injuries to Webb and Washington the secondary improved over the 2009 season. They had a horrible start to the year, but they didn't fold or quit.
  2. I have no problem with OJ going in the Ring. I followed him in the CFL and was excited when he became a Raven. It's more about what he means to this organization off the field that puts him in.
  3. I'm looking forward to seeing it. I'm sure it will enhance the game day experience. The 500 tv's will help....there are still plenty of dead spots where you can't see the game. What is really needed is radio in the Men's room in section 115...it never works. Better yet...put some tv's in there with the volume cranked up. They upgraded the turf...not bad...they raised prices but they are giving back. It makes a difference to this fan knowing he's sitting in the best stadium in the NFL. Watch this in Hi Def on a 100 foot screen...
  4. I'm late but Happy Birthday cleetz!

    2014 SB Bullshit

Oh I'm tired of Miami and Tampa Bay ect cleetz. Where I'm comming from is the owners were in no mood or sense of urgency to get a SB here or any other 'cold city' until this new stadium in New Jersey was built. I'm sure it's all about the money. We have a new stadium...Philly...even that shit hole in Landover is a legit SB location....but the media market and the $$$$'s of New York once again wins out. Hey...this is a good video on the '58 Championship game... http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8184f9d4&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true It really doesn't matter where they play it I guess because the average fan, who supports his team all year, can't afford tickets to a Super Bowl game. They price us out of it. It's for the corporate crowd.
  6. The rich get richer.... Today the NFL owners dropped their trowsers to New York for the 2014 Super Bowl...because it is their #1. It was all about money. They bent the rules. I hope it's 2 feet of snow, sub zero temps with gale force winds. I see no reason why Baltimore and other NFL cities can't bid for a Super Bowl now that they bent the rules.
  7. I don't know what to think about Sanchez. He played like a bust in the regular season...12 TD's to 20 INT's....63 QB rating. Then he had 2 good games when it mattered in the playoffs. I think he'll be Rex Ryans Kyle Boller. Conversely....Flacco is great in the regular season but he has yet to look good in the playoffs.
  8. Definately huge news. They will be able to contribute 'sooner' rather than 'later'. It will be a hell of a lot better having them in the playoffs this year.
  9. Bullshit...no Super Bowl without Stover.
  10. Definately. He belongs there...he carried the offense on his back for years...going against 8, 9, 10 in the box at times. Like Spen says...no Super Bowl without Jamal.
  11. It's passing camp, shorts ect... but David Reed is looking like the next Jerry Rice. He can return kicks. More on Reed... http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bs-sp-cowherd-column-0519-20100520,0,577100.column Pita and Dickson will make it even harder for the #3 and 4 WR to see the field. Cam will be sending 2 TE's out to catch passes this year.
  12. That's not funny....I feel real bad for the kid.
  13. Speaking of free agents...Kelly Washington is a UFA and I don't think the Ravens have offered him a contract. Nobody has.
  14. "The Chiefs may not be winning on the field, but off...
  15. Yea...I get it. Here's what McLean's thinking...
  16. Wow! I didn't know Ray Rice's life story...you got to read this...right up there with Michael Oher. Ray's one solid person...love the guy. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/News/Articles/2010/05/A_Man_Before_A_Boy.aspx "Jamal used to do this to you. Now it's my turn."
  17. According to Len Pasquarelli, the Ravens lead the league with 6 players who haven't signed their Restricted Free Agent tenders. It's a long article that left me thinking that Le’Ron McClain, Mark Clayton, Gaither, Sam Koch, Dawan Landry and Fabian Washington are trying to say they don't like the money. Baring a trade there is nowhere else they can play. If they don't sign by June 15, the club has the prerogative of reducing the offer to 110 percent of their 2009 salary at any time after that. Article: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=pasquarelli_len&id=5197588 Maybe it's a protest of some sort...with no leverage in these uncertain times of the NFL.
  18. That's what Kindle and Suggs will be doing to quarterbacks this year...the QB's won't know where they're comming from or what hit them.
  19. He's a hitter too cleetz. I agree he needs to be 100% to be the guy we saw last year and now it looks like that can happen sometime by week 6 or sooner. Even if he goes on the PUP he has a good shot at making an impact soon after he gets off it. The sooner the better...we'll need him come playoff time...
  20. "We're gonna raise Hell!" "Mamma said I got to protect my family."
  21. It's bitter sweet. That 'our guy Bouldin' making a spectacular catch against 'our guy Landry'.......but I love it too. Bouldin is a difference maker. As for Landry...I heard Jarrett Johnson take up for him the other day. He said Landry is one solid football player and is under appreciated. He thinks Landry and Webb will be the next two break out players on the Ravens D. He went on trying to make it clear that Landry is damn good. "Here...munch on this." Matt Stover's back...QBing the 3rd unit.
  22. How about a little lunch on some Joe Flacco highlights. Flacco is definately on my mind. He's the key to the 2010 season. All the pieces are in place and it's definately time for him to shine. From NFL.com http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-fantasy/09000d5d81520392/WK-15-Joe-Flacco-highlights http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/09000d5d812932d5/WK-1-Joe-Flacco-highlights Here's a Flacco/Carson Palmer highlight vid of the Ravens 17-10 home loss to the Bengals. The truth is that Palmer and the Bengals have Ravens number. For the last few years. The 2010 Ravens have to put an end to this trend this year and it won't be easy. The Bengals defense is good..just one spot behind the Ravens in 2009. They got Palmer receiving help this off season. This is what makes a rivalry. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-films-sound-efx/09000d5d81368c8c/Sound-FX-Palmer-vs-Flacco
  23. Preston has graded Ravens RT's of the past... http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/blog/2010/05/grading_ravens_right_tackles_of_the_past.html As you can see, it's not a slam dunk position to fill. Now...if they can get Gaither to do it and he can stay healthy, then this will be one solid O line. His toe or foot injury concerns me...that sent J.O. into retirement. I'm giving Gaither the benefit of the doubt and think this is what caused him to report late (trying to hide it and maintain his value).
