60 man rosters. Allow everyone that is healthy to dress. Expand the practice squads from 8 to 10 and remove the limitations on the players that are allowed to be on practice squads. All of these would help with an 18 game regular seasons and shorter preseason.

Yeah, I agree with that. I might even spend the 5th on him. I think we have a great chance of drafting some good O-Line talent in this draft. We should be able to get someone to challenge for the starting RT spot and if we add Thomas he would provide great depth on the interior spots.

I would prefer Andre Williams out of Boston College as my big back. 5-11 230 runs a 4.56 http://youtu.be/Ujt1S9P2XHE

We don't have a 7th.

Dee. I think you should merge this thread with the Global Warming thread. We have our solution.....shoot everyone and then there is no one left to pollute the world! Of course last man or woman standing has to turn the gun on themselves.

Went to Stanford so you know he is well educated. You can tell by the way he articulated his point of view. Smart guy and smart point.

After his 3rd year of the deal his cap hit jumps to $28.5m but we would save just shy of $3m in cap space if we cut or traded him so yes I would determine that it's a 3 year deal. That said with the way the cap is expected to jump it might still be very manageable in 2016. So 2017 might be the year where Ozzie will have the leverage to renegotiate. My guess is Joe will redo his contract when it becomes apparent the Ravens need the money to sign some targets for him or some protection to keep him healthy. They will just point to this past season as evidence of Joe needing some help.

It's not enough just you and me doing it Max. Everyone has to buy in. The problem is we are in a developed economy that can handle that change and upheaval. The problem lies in the developing economies that are basically going through their Industrial age such as China, India and even Brazil. They don't want to change because they are making money as they develop. China has some of the worst pollution problems in the world but good luck getting them to stop making stuff and pumping out all those carbon emissions. This is one area I actually feel sorry for the politicians. They have such a difficult task of getting everyone to agree on a policy that will drive the change. We have already tried to do something about it last year and it couldn't be agreed upon: http://www.thegwpf.org/china-reject-binding-emissions-limits-kyoto/

Anyone that looked properly at Flacco's deal could see it was a 3 year deal. At that point we can renegotiate if we choose and I'm not even sure we do that with how much the cap is projected to jump when those big cap hits arrive in the last 3 years of his deal. Not to mention at that point Ngata and Suggs' deals will be off the books.

What a Dickhead. Doesn't he know what a C Section does to a woman's body? Over here you are not allowed to drive until your doctor deems you fit again and that could be up to 6 weeks after. You are not supposed to do any lifting of any kind that is heavier than your new born baby. My guess is Carton understands this and felt he needed to be there to help out his wife. Perhaps we could cut Boomer open and see if he feels his spouse should help him out around the house for a couple of weeks! I'm sure there would be a long line of people waiting to stab him.

WEAKNESSES: Still developing as a route-runner, adding to questions about his ability to play a large role immediately in the NFL. While his size is problematic for defenders, Benjamin's length makes it difficult for him to sink his hips and explodes out of cuts, making him much better suited to verticals and crossing routes than double-moves, limiting his fit to certain schemes. Drops too many passes. Allows the ball into his chest too often. Will take his eyes off the ball in an attempt to make the defender miss before actually securing the pass, leading to an occasional ugly drop. Seems to especially struggle with low passes, a problem for many taller receivers. He timed at 4.61 (Not bad for a player his size but he only had a 32 1/2" Vertical which backs up some of the explosive issues into and out of breaks. I don't like slow players with the dropsies. If you aren't the fastest player then you damn well need to have some of the best hands. He only caught 54 balls. Granted he averaged 18 yards per catch but he also played in the weak ass ACC. I also have heard a few reports about his work ethic. That is a huge red flag especially for someone that has work to do on his hands and route running. That said, he would be very interesting as TE prospect (6'5 240 at his pro day) but I wouldn't be taking on that sort of project in the 1st round. Hence I wouldn't touch him until our 2nd round pick at the earliest.
-
In the 2nd round? I hope that's what you mean anyway. I have too many question marks surrounding Benjamin to touch him in the 1st round. In the 2nd I would consider him only if the following are all off the board and we didn't take 1 of them in the first. 1. Sammy Watkins 2. Mike Evans 3. Marqise Lee 4. Odell Beckham JR 5. Jordan Matthews 6. Brandin Cooks 7. Davante Adams

Here are a couple of NFL Draft Games that allow you to be the Wizard of OZ. They are also good for giving you an idea how players are ranked. http://fanspeak.com/ontheclock/ This one allows you to do trades but I have found the trades are a bit unrealistic. http://first-pick.com/NFL/DraftGame.aspx A bit of fun, but informative all the same.
-
But WR is a very deep position in this year's draft. You might still be able to pick up a #1 WR in the 2nd round. What I like about this year's draft is we could go in a number of different directions in the 1st, come away with a good player and still be able to find starters in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounds at other positions. It's good that we have 6 picks in those first 4 rounds!
-
There are a few decent guys that could play FS in this draft that should/could be available where we pick. I think they all have the potential to start on opening day 1st round (Either at 17 or with a trade down) Clinton Dix, Alabama Pryor, Louisville 2nd round Bucannon, Washington State Ward, NIU 3rd round Reynolds, Stanford Bailey, USC That's just the guys I really like. There are a few other guys that project to FS that could also be good players.

Ravens division high in guaranteed money
RavenMad replied to Oldschool739's topic in Baltimore Ravens
I have no problem with any of the guaranteed money we gave to any of the players on that list. They all deserved it. And you know it's a good deal when both the team and the player feel like they win with the deal. The Bengals and the Bucs owners don't like to spend money. I still believe the only reason the Bucs threw around some cash last season on the likes of Vincent Jackson was to get to the salary cap floor. Both teams have cheap owners who don't care about winning as long as their pockets are being lined and will only spend what they are mandated to spend by the league. -
FIFY and I agree.

Owners vote down proposal to move kickoffs to 40-yard line
RavenMad replied to papasmurfbell's topic in NFL General
Here is a novel thought. Teach proper tackling technique. In Rugby you must use your arms while attempting a tackle. Those guys don't have helmets yet have far fewer concussions yet play many more games per season. My guess is it has something to do with tackling technique. -
Ravens Front Office once again showing their true colors
RavenMad replied to Tornado700's topic in Baltimore Ravens
The first time since 1989 so hardly a tradition of excellence. In fact the new Browns have pretty much mirrored the old Browns in the latter part of their tenure in Cleveland. The Browns then followed that up with a 5-11 season before moving to Baltimore. We might as well have been starting from scratch as we also had a new head coach. -
How do you feel about Rolando McClain coming back
RavenMad replied to Oldschool739's topic in Baltimore Ravens
I do see both arguments. The question we should be asking is Can either player come in and add something to the team. Do the Benefits provided outweigh the negatives. In terms of team unity Incognito is far harder to justify than McClain. What he did was worse for the locker room unity than what McClain did and for that reason I would be far more likely to take a chance on a reclamation project like McClain than I would Incognito. That doesn't mean I would definitely take McClain back, but there is nothing to lose with his situation. I don't see anything to suggest he was a locker room cancer. And if he truly has reformed he could be a nice addition to the locker room. If we bring him back and he decides to go on a shooting spree in downtown Baltimore then cut him and we haven't lost anything, unless he brings the guns to the locker room and opens up on a few players of course but from all reports it was always trouble in his hometown that he needed to avoid. I guess what I am trying to say is I am more likely to take a chance on someone who has had issues outside of football and a lot less likely to take chances on a locker room cancer. -
lol, I see you're already on that mailing list then.

Well shit, why am I not getting pictures of boobs sent to me every day then? Maybe I need to google boobs for 12 hours a day instead of 11 to get on the mailing list.

This. Basically the article is exactly what I said in my post. Satellite data etc. Like Papa said, they may never find the black box. It took them 2 years to find the Air France Black Boxes after that crash over the Atlantic and they knew where to look then. They still haven't found a crash site for this one and some parts of that area of the Ocean are 20,000 feet deep. The US is sending some sort of undersea drone that will search the ocean floor but it has a max depth of 15,000 feet.

In the Comic, Dale gets bitten by a walker and goes off to die alone. He gets captured by the Cannibals and they start to eat him alive. They can't understand why he laughs at them all until he gleefully explains that he is "tainted meat". I hope they have some sort of similar storyline in the tv show if in fact Terminus is a home for Cannibals.

Where are you seeing this Crav? All the info I have seen suggests they analyzed the satellite data from the Engines and triangulated the flight path from that which leads them to believe it was somewhere in a corridor in the South Indian Ocean when it would have run out of fuel and crashed into the Ocean. There has also been some satellite imagery coming out of China and France that shows debris floating in the Ocean but no ship has been able to recover anything yet to confirm that it's in fact part of the plane. There has also been some debris spotted by other planes but again nothing has been recovered.
