  1. ZBS does not allow the O-Line to "play like Ravens". IMO they are thinking do I block this guy or that guy and end up whiffing on both. Man blocking allows them to just line up and hit people. Isn't that what Ravens do? When Ozzie said we were going to get bigger in the middle of the O-Line I thought that meant a return to smash mouth hard hitting Ravens football. But then we announce we will continue to keep Castillo. Something doesn't add up. Normally ZBS are run by smaller, quicker linemen so WTF are we doing. Didn't we learn anything from the disaster of trying to fit possession WRs into Cam's chuck it long offense? No we are going to try and fit maulers into a Zone Blocking Scheme. Perhaps Ozzie fell and knocked his head when he took that turn in Chicago because this just doesn't add up. Let's get better by keeping the idiots that screwed up this team in the first place and then give them the wrong tools. SMH.
  2. A 6th > nothing which was what we were getting when we cut him. If we can get some team to pay a 4th for Suggs then great but I can't see it. We are never lucky enough to get one of the stupid teams to throw draft picks at us for players past their primes.
  3. Yeah Dumervil is cheaper and his production didn't drop off a cliff after the mid way point of the season. In an ideal world we can keep everyone but parity and the salary cap means we have to be getting production from every dollar and the production wasn't there from Suggs in the 2nd half of the season. Plus it's better to let him go a season too early as opposed to a season too late.
  4. I'm not sure you can cut Ngata either as you would only save $1m on the cap because of dead money. I would much rather keep him around. Perhaps you can talk to him about reducing his salary and cap number. Suggs' cap number is $12.4m and you would save $7.8m by cutting or trading him. I'm not sure that you want to extend him at this point unless it's for a very cap friendly deal. We already have Dumervil, with Upshaw and Simon ready to take more of a role at DE/OLB so that saving looks appealing. I would hate to see him go but the business side of things is pointing to a parting of ways especially if we need the $ to sign O-Linemen.

    WR's

That's a terrible scouting report on Marqise Lee. I watch a lot of USC ball and his route running and hands need a lot of work. I actually am not too sure he will be that quick in the 40. He is a long jumper rather than a sprinter so referring to his track skills make him sound like a world class sprinter which he is not. What I do expect from him is that he will have the best 10 yard split amongst WRs. He just gets up to his top speed so quickly and is explosive in and out of cuts. I actually think he would be a really good fit for us if we don't get an O-Lineman in the 1st.
  6. I think he has built a very good team that is a QB short of being really good.
  7. It appears as if the strategy now with RBs is to draft them from the 2nd round onwards, use them for 4 years, franchise them for a year and then dump them. There is no need to tie up big $ in them anymore. I'm hoping that Ray will be the last RB we ever pay big money to. The money would be better spent on the O-Line.
  8. 27-10. Game over as we enter the 2 minute warning. Still the Bungles in the playoffs.
  9. 1 and done just like every year. Charges 20 Bengals 10 at the start of the 4th with Dalton starting to throw INTs again.
  10. The reason is simple. They spent all their money on nice shiny weapons for their QBs to throw to and decent O-Linemen to protect their asset. There was no money and/or draft picks left to spend on their D and that is why their D's suck and they went 2-14/4-12 but still put up numbers. We spent last offseason retooling the D while the O got weaker and now we will attempt to retool the O. Be thankful we have a front office that does a great job at the balancing act in this age of parity. There are only a handful of teams that are good at this and they almost always make the playoffs or get close.
  11. Couldn't agree more. Someone needs to sit Harbs down and explain Castillo and the O-Line coaches need the boot up their collective asses for the travisty that was our running game this season.
  12. 8-8 until I see how the offseason plays out.
  13. What position do you believe you will be targeting in the 1st round of the draft this year?
  14. It doesn't mean that he won't be a good player, just not worth the contract we have him on but teams will be willing to take on the salary because they don't have to pay guaranteed money. There will always be QB needy teams willing to take a shot with him.
  15. I think it was talked about last offseason that Joe's contract was basically 3 years as after that the cap number escalates to a point that the Ravens will not be able to afford any other decent players. If Joe continues to struggle because he either doesn't have an O-Line or elite receivers to bail him out then Ozzie can simply go to him and say, "Look Joe, your not good enough to carry a team on your shoulders. We need some of that salary of yours to upgrade the O-Line and/or receivers to help you out. Will you take a more manageable salary to help us out?" If Joe says no, you trade him. If he says yes, will then you still have your franchise QB and have a lot more cap room to help him out. Joe will still get paid but more on par with what he is actually worth. The headline figures of that contract make it look terrible but the first 3 years are/were manageable and to be honest the FO had no choice but to pay him. Could you imagine letting another Superbowl winning QB depart the season after winning the Superbowl and Joe is many times >>>>>>>>> Dilfer. It would have been a catastrophe.
  16. No, the games for London are already set.
  17. Yeah he is gone unless he signs a vet minimum contract. He was easily the worst performer of all the linmen including a first year starter at C.
  18. Haha and u can't even use the excuse that it's too cold outside.
  19. Coincidentally that was the best years of your OC'ing here Cam. You were more creative back then. It's a shame your a bitter old loser now.
  20. We get to start again on the O-Line this offseason. We have Osemele and Yanda to build around (They will be much better when they are starting at full health again next season). Oher is gone. Grad will be kept but we need to bring in someone he can be a backup to. This draft has a lot of OTs that will go in the first 2 rounds so we need to identify 1 and get him. I think we probably resign the LT. Not sure what Centers will be available.
  21. I'm starting to believe that Geronimo is in fact Cam Cameron. It makes sense if you think about it. Blames everything on Joe - check. Thinks Joe is too stupid to be given some autonomy within the playcalls - check. Wants to fire the current playcaller because he took over from him and proved how crap he was - check. Seriously though, Joe was able to learn a new offense and start his rookie year. It might have been by default but when other QBs were healthy Joe was still starting.
  22. Our run game just can't be relied upon when it's needed. It's just so unRaven like. Someone needs to explain to the RBs and O-Line what it means to "Play Like a Raven"
  23. Ha ha knocked out by Dickson's butt. LMAO!
  24. Fuck off the refs are just making shit up now. Holding on the Defense but no number anounced so we can identify how bullshit the call is. Maybe if he took Brady's dick out of his mouth he might be able to make a decent call when on the mike!
  25. Yeah we need to shut them out the rest of the game now to have a chance or the O needs to find like 30 points from somewhere.
