OneManCypher Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Cary is still a decent corner, and he stays healthy , he is better than any corner we had playing in the playoffs last year, If it's the right price i really wouldn't have a problem brinigng him back. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 He's a hot head and a loud mouth...John and him didn't mesh well... Quote
OneManCypher Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 i never heard anything about them two having a problem with one another, they offered him a pretty good contract when his deal was up, Eagles just offered him more. Quote
vmax Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 He was part of a terrible secondary. 31st against the pass. As bad as the Ravens were (22nd) the unit he was on was a Fail. They gave up 30 TD's to the Ravens 22.And Phiily had just as good pressure on the QB as the Ravens. Same amount of sacks....49. At age 31...with his undisciplined style of play, I don't see him helping this team. His time has past. Quote
cravnravn Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Don't think it has anything to do with who had the more terrible secondary, it has more to do with the system, Cary didn't leave here on a sour note, I'd have no problem if they brought him back in. Quote
OutsideRzAcE Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 I remember him being pretty average. He talked like he was a top 10 corner but he sure didn't play like it. Quote

papasmurfbell Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 I have never heard of an issue between Harbs and Williams. Williams waqs the most consistent solid player in a bad set of DB's. That is why he got a big contract. For the right price I would bring him back. Quote
OneManCypher Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 I don't know about anyone else but i like my cornerbacks with swagger, you can make it into something negative with a label like "loudmouth" or "talks alot" ot "hothead" but Cary played well for us. Cornerback is a difficult position to play with all of the rules benefitting the WR's. he's an experienced cornerback with some swagger that has played here before. it's a good fit , like i said though, for the right price. oldno82 Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 If they can get him cheap, take him. Like Crav said, if we had had an average secondary last year we could have won a trophy. Quote
Tornado700 Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 I think it all depends on whether Webb is signed. If yes, I don't want Cary. Too old, rather take a young player from the draft. If Webby not signed, then we got problems and need all the F.A. help we can get. Quote
OneManCypher Posted March 5, 2015 Author Posted March 5, 2015 we need a veteran and a draftee. Smith, Webb and Asa seem to have injury problems. we need to get two CB's in here. A solid veteran like Cary, just in case one or two of these guys goes down again and a young corner, preferably a high draftee, to have for the now and the future. Quote

Tornado700 Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Why can't you take Carry and draft a guy?We could. It wouldn't upset me. BUT, does this team have a tight budget? Yesssssss. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Sure they do. It looks like Carry is going to Buf or somewhere. But you get the cap in order and I think Carry is a great add to the team. Quote
cravnravn Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Looks like Cary will wind up in Seattle. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000477601/article/cary-williams-expected-to-choose-seahawks Quote
Robjr83 Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Looks like we'll need every pick Oz can scrape up. On paper I think our CBs aren't bad (Webb,Smith, and Asa), its the safeties that are real $hit. With tendering Tucker and Hill they're really cash strapped. I wish Ngata would play ball but I cant blame him for wanting money at the end of his career. Quote

thundercleetz Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Good for Cary getting another big deal. He is a good player but I wouldn't give him $6M a year with Jimmy Smith's deal coming up. Quote
