varaven45 Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Allright Ozzie, whatcha going to do ? Time to fill in some holes or do an upgrade or two. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Wait until te draft. She what you still have as a hole and fill it with smart thrifty move. Quote
cravnravn Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Have we ever made a move the first day of free agency? Relax Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Not that I remember. Let the idiots blow their wads. Quote

thundercleetz Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 We will only sign players that have been cut by other teams. No way Ozzie gives up the potential third/fourth round picks we should get for losing McPhee and Smith. Someone like Dwayne Bowe or Kenny Britt sounds like a good pickup for us. 1 Quote

tsylvester Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 I doubt Ozzie does something outlandish, but I wouldn't mind Harvin at all, I know, head case.... But he would be the first real deep threat this team has had since 1996. With that said, were it me, I sign the free agents the team has, fill in with cheap and drafted players. They have to find out about the other young receivers and the only way to do that is playing time. Save as much as possible to carry over for next year when they are really gonna need the room because of Joe's cntract and there likely will be some one worthy of a marque salary on the free agent market,. oldno82 Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Next year, Joe has to re-do his contract or else he'll be 'Ngata-ed'. Quote

oldno82 Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 If that happens then we're going to go through a long playoff drought.Possibly, but I can't see we carry a $28 million cap number for anybody.I don't want to see him go. Hopefully, they get on the stick and Joe's willing to restructure. In any case, since we don't know, we'd better start looking for a body to back him up and learn the position. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Looks like they can spend some on Forsett.I would not change my number if I was the Ravens. He is still only a RB. I would look at the 3rd round. Quote

RavenMad Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Joe's agent has said before that he knows Joe's deal was really only a 3 year deal. They just wanted the headline figures. Joe is a smart guy. He knows he will still make plenty of money and that for the interests of the team and him (for both his health and his numbers) some of the money he makes would be better spent making sure he has some protection and some weapons to throw to. I will be totally shocked if he doesn't sign a cap friendly extension before free agency next offseason. Quote

thundercleetz Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Former Bengals DE Michael Johnson was released by the Bucs. Could be a buy-low, high reward target for us. Although I'm sure Mike Zimmer in Minny will be his first call. Quote

52isUnstoppable Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 DO we have 'doe?' I thought we were 10 million over and suggs/ngata moves put us like 5 million under the cap? How much can 5 million buy when you still have to sign all the rookies and our own free agents? Quote
