tsylvester Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 On a great first year starting. 6 years. $90 mil. I am glad for the young man, he could not hit the ground with a medicine ball when he was here in Bmore... Quote
tsylvester Posted August 12, 2016 Author Posted August 12, 2016 WOAH...for one year of ball?Well, Water Buffalo he is not, or is he? Quote
cravnravn Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 what's the guarantee money? I bet it's not much, maybe like Dalton's contract Quote
tsylvester Posted August 13, 2016 Author Posted August 13, 2016 what's the guarantee money? I bet it's not much, maybe like Dalton's contract The Bills announced an extension for the sixth-year pro on Friday. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported the deal is for $92 million over six years plus incentives, per a source. Rapoport added that Taylor will make $9.5 million in 2016, all of which is "fully guaranteed, but after that there is a lot of prove-it in the deal."The team has the option to pick up the contract in 2017, and he'll make $27.5 million ($15.5 million with option, $12M base salary) if they do so, two sources informed of the deal told Rapoport. However, in the unlikely scenario he plays out the entire extension and gets paid all incentives, Taylor would make $112 million over the six years. Smart structure, play well, get paid well... Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Smart structure, play well, get paid well...The Ravens should have structured the deal here more like that. Quote
tsylvester Posted August 15, 2016 Author Posted August 15, 2016 The Ravens should have structured the deal here more like that.It takes two-to tango. Fresh off the record setting post season and Super Bowl win, it is not likely he would have taken it... But then, who is to say they did not try? Quote
tsylvester Posted August 16, 2016 Author Posted August 16, 2016 How about the one he just did?How do you know what they tried or did not try to get done with him before this latest deal? Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 As my coach said to us during practice. Do don't try. Quote
JPPT1974 Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Indeed that is a lot of money. He is great just as long as he can stay healthy. His Achilles Heel is that of not staying healthy. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 Waiting for the "should have kept Tyrod" crowd to chime in... Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 Waiting for the "should have kept Tyrod" crowd to chime in...I have already been hearing them. And honestly they have a point. I don't hear the talking heads around here being dismissive to them anymore either. Quote

tsylvester Posted August 22, 2016 Author Posted August 22, 2016 Kept him? And what, cut Flaco? When he was here, as I said before, he could not hit then endzone while being in said endzone, let alone read a defense..... Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 But he was a far better QB than Joe was last yr. Joe was sure good at throwing to the D. At the price that Joe costs and what Taylor costs I would take Tyrod. Quote

papasmurfbell Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Sounds like your coach is Yoda. Do or do not. There is no try. Basically true. Coach Chang had better grammar though. People who want Taylor over Flacco are the same brilliant idiots who thought Anthony Wright was a good, franchise quarterback. Nuff said...But they were right on Taylor. Quote
tsylvester Posted August 24, 2016 Author Posted August 24, 2016 They were? One season and he is a great quarterback? Quote
JPPT1974 Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Well just needs to not get injured. And he could be really an elite. Just avoid the injury he had last year. Quote
