papasmurfbell Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Joe has regressed past being a rookie to a steaming pile. Quote
varaven45 Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Are you saying Joe might be schooled by Kessler on Thursday night. Maybe Joe will be taking notes ! Quote
tsylvester Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 I have to admit, I used to enjoy watching Joe drop back to pass, now I get that queasy feeling I used to get when Boller dropped back to pass.. I don't know what is wrong, his knee, too many hits because of this horrible line, family issues, but something clearly is wrong. Quote

My guess would be a combo of a piss poor Oline and Joe's mental game about his knee. They probably rushed him back in too early. Or in the same breath didn't give him any time to prep in the preseason. Quote
Robjr83 Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 We also have to look at what weapons has he been given.... #1 WR SSR..... 35yo coming off an achilles injury#2 WR Wallace... a speed guy#3 WR Perriman...hahahahhaha#4 WR Aiken....practice squad player#1 TE Watson...IR#2 TE Pitta.... a shell of his former self#3 TE Gillmore...hey remember him?#4 TE Maxx.... IR...ranking right behind Perriman in bust No real receiving back (maybe Buck) West and Dixon are bruisers Quote
papasmurfbell Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Then you go back to Preston saying it is the teams fault for not fixing the roster problems. He needs some major accountability. Quote
varaven45 Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Somethings definitely wrong with the dude. It would be interesting to compare and contrast is mechanics from the Super Bowl victory to now Quote

oldno82 Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 he's throwing off his back foot, I think he is shell shocked,That's what I see. The O-line doesn't protect him enough, the receivers aren't that great, Joe's in a mental state where he's worried about where the next hit is coming from and what it might do to him and that's messing up his mechanics to say nothing of his confidence. And I think his shoulder hurts. Quote
varaven45 Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Then the guy needs a QB shrink or mentor before he's toast - if he's not already. Dang shame we are stuck in this quagmire with Joe. Quote

vmax Posted November 8, 2016 Author Posted November 8, 2016 (edited) Somethings definitely wrong with the dude. It would be interesting to compare and contrast is mechanics from the Super Bowl victory to now He had an O line who could pass protect and make a pocket. All Joe needs is time. Oh...and he had a running game. The Ravens are running the ball less with Morningweg and gaining less yards. Edited November 8, 2016 by vmax Quote
vmax Posted November 8, 2016 Author Posted November 8, 2016 (edited) Echoing something he said often in October, Flacco admitted Sunday to "a little frustration in the fact that we're not playing as well as we want to." Overall, the Ravens rank 27th in yards per game (325.1), 20th in passing yards per game (243.4) and 28th in rushing yards per game (81.8). Flacco has the second worst quarterback rating of any current starter in the league. When Trestman was fired a day after the Oct. 9 loss to the Washington Redskins, the Ravens' offense was averaging 338.2 yards per game. In three games with Mornhinweg, who was promoted from quarterbacks coach to offensive coordinator, they are averaging 303.2 yards per game......http://www.carrollcountytimes.com/sports/ravens/bs-sp-ravens-steelers-folo-1108-20161107-story.html The continued ineffectiveness of the running game remains a major concern. Trestman took a lot of criticism for his failure to establish and stick to the run, but the team's productivity on the ground has actually grown worse. The Ravens are averaging 2.2 yards per carry over the past three games compared to 4.2 in the first five games under Trestman. They are also running the ball slightly less under Mornhinweg (22 carries per game) than they did under Trestman (24 carries per game), Edited November 8, 2016 by vmax Quote
