papasmurfbell Posted August 24, 2017 Author Posted August 24, 2017 Injuries are important especially for a guy doing off a major injury and having one played 21 games in 3 yrs. But since you care about why bring up things about PS why is it so many keep bringing us the defensive rankings for the PS? Quote
cravnravn Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 (edited) Don't know why keep bringing up PS stats, they are meaningless. Only thing I can think of is, camp is closed to the public and stats are the closest thing we have to being there. We used to like making our own assumptions about how good our d and o looked on the field. Edited August 25, 2017 by cravnravn Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 25, 2017 Author Posted August 25, 2017 But you said "And we care about pre season why?" so I am not grasping how you can look at the PS and nobody else can. Quote

Williams, Nembot, Humphrey, Boykin, McClellan, Payne, Canady6:28 PM - Aug 26, 2017What the hell is wrong with Stanley? I thought this was supposed to be a minor issue. It is almost 2 weeks now. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Stanley is back, limited, in individual drills. Per Zrebiec: Ravens not practicing this morning: Flacco, Perriman, Woodhead, McClellan, T. Lewis, Boykin, Canady Ravens got back OT Ronnie Stanley, CB Marlon Humphrey, OT Stephane Nembot and LB Donald Payne. Stanley just did individual drills. Jimmy Smith, Justin Tucker, Anthony Levine Sr, who all were shaken up Saturday, were also practicing. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 28, 2017 Author Posted August 28, 2017 Does anyone know what was wrong? Quote
GrubberRaven Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 With Stanley? No, nothing was ever reported. LB Albert McClellan tore his ACL in practice last week and will miss the season. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted September 16, 2017 Author Posted September 16, 2017 https://twitter.com/Ravens/status/909086581897793537 We have placed CB Sheldon Price on IR and waived RB Jeremy Langford. We have signed RB Alex Collins & CB Tony McRae from the practice squad. Quote
tsylvester Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 Collins is a harder runner, good power. That position swap is a wash... The cb, with Hill still nursing a hammy, could be interesting. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted September 16, 2017 Author Posted September 16, 2017 They don't need a power back in that West and Allen do that. They need a scatback 3rd down specialist. Quote
tsylvester Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 They don't need a power back in that West and Allen do that. They need a scatback 3rd down specialist. True, but Langford was not that type. They had one in Mizzel, we shall see if they can find one... Quote
papasmurfbell Posted September 16, 2017 Author Posted September 16, 2017 The moves do not seem to have motive. they seem really scattershot. Quote
tsylvester Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 Well, Collins can be used as a fullback, decent catcher too, Langford is a straight up runningback. Maybe that is their motive. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted September 18, 2017 Author Posted September 18, 2017 Tack on 2 more done for the yr. Quote
tsylvester Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 West is nursing a "soft tissue" injury. No time table other than day to day... Is this what they call charlie horses now or is a different injury... Only the shadow, err um Harbs knows..... Quote
papasmurfbell Posted September 18, 2017 Author Posted September 18, 2017 Or a deep bruise. It should be fine. Quote
varaven45 Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Geez, with all this delightful news, I'm surprised we don't have "Bridge over troubled waters" playing in the background. Quote
vmax Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 The silence around Brandon Williams injury is deafening. Quote
Tornado700 Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 I heard that Brandon Williams has some kind of foot injury. Quote
vmax Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Foggy Update.... Head Coach John Harbaugh said Monday that Williams will not be out for an extended period of time after suffering a foot injury in Sunday's 24-10 win over the Cleveland Browns. How long, however, is unknown and will remain that way.“Those are not long-term injuries, so you probably won’t get any updates on that,” Harbaugh said.....http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/News--Notes-Brandon-Williams-Doesnt-Have-a-Long-Term-Injury/9950d7bb-4324-41cd-90b3-fc9835690477 i hope they are saving him for the Steelers but they need him for the Jags who run the ball. papasmurfbell Posted September 21, 2017 Author Posted September 21, 2017 Good Lord!!! The dude just got here. This team has a virus. Quote
tsylvester Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Career ender is more like it. ozzie sure can pick em. I know, you can't count on injury free players, but for the past few years it seems that ia all he can draft; players who can't stay healthy.... Quote
