Bye Lamar. He is 1-3 in the playoffs and didn't bother to travel with the team for their playoff game. Maybe help guide the starting quarterback in his place, talk him up, be a leader. But, he wants to be the highest paid QB in the league. Maybe when he puts up the numbers, wins, accuracy, and reliability as Mahomes or Allen. Hell, Joe Burrow has more playoff wins.4 points

This time of year makes me sad. I really miss the drive up to McDaniel College to watch training camp practices and grabbing lunch with you guys afterward as we discuss what we saw. Good times gone by.3 points

All I can keep thinking is: "I hope we can keep him here". This is a guy you can build a defense around that will last years.3 points

He can ctach passes from Lamar all he wants, in the off season. But when the season starts, he can catch fish in the Seattle fish markets..3 points

And of course it happens when I watch! I'm watching Grumpier Old Men now. Appropriate.2 points

Tsy. No place in this game for these kind of players. Just remember - those who exalt themselves will be humbled. Believe that !2 points

Agreed the hangover extends into London or the team consumes some bad fish and chips . Either way, we don’t show up but even if we miraculously make it close, bad Lamar shows up, Harbaugh easily gets out coached by Vrabel, and we come home 3-3. Oh and Harbaugh throws another coach or player under the bus and explains how they’ll look at the film and get better. Book it !2 points

It is far worse than I even thought. I have been going back and forth with a dumbass. He thinks turdy is a great coach. I said he has been along for the ride and anything good that has happened to this team has been done despite him. So onto the research.2 points

Could be a reality check for him. If we end up with two 1sts, atleast we may not be in cap hell for the foreseeable future2 points

This team is fizzling; reminds me of the end of the Billick era in circa 2006-7. The message is stale, there's little team character, chemistry and or substance. I think the right package - coach, OC & QB - can and should improve this teams lot. We might slide a year (2 yrs max), but Id rather do that then watch a very slow, painful bleed job.2 points

This line is actually better, much better than they played yesterday. They just had a very bad game, injuries caught up to them. We knee the rookie mountain would struggle with fast, small defensive ends. A good coach sees this and adjusts, and Roman did not adjust. Even the receivers are good enough, but using them properly, using routes designed to beat zones, get people open is the key. Roman does none of these things. As I said, this offense has gotten worse as the season has progressed, it is not as if the defenses have gotten better, quite the opposite in fact. Yes, the evidence is clear, even Harbs, the Biscuit have to see it, Roman has to go. Defenses are keeping their safeties with in 15 yards of the los, linebackers within 8. That makes it very difficult to run consistently. Before yesterday they would have to blitz to beat this offensive line, even then, the pass blocking held. The issue with the passing game was either poor route combos, or a qb who could not throw on time because he was confused, or could not throw accurately, leaving no yak. We saw proof of that at times yesterday. Huntley got the ball out quickly, timely, and accurately to provide yak. Is he the end all, certainly not. But he deserves a chance to show that this offense can score. You look at other games, Goff for crying out loud put up yards and points. Offenses see safeties 15 yards deep, linebackers 10, making it easier to not just run the ball, but have space for underneath routes, for yak. So that when there is a 5 yard pass, the receiver doesn't have 5 guys tackling him right away. The line will be fine, but they need help getting those back 7 to back off, it's all Roman.2 points

For whatever reason, we don’t play well against Jax- cant get that monkey off our backs. The D laid an egg in the 4th Q but it shouldn’t have come down to that. We should have been up 14-0 instead of 6-0 then let a weaker opponent stick around and come back. I think it’s safe to say we’ve seen Lamar’s ceiling. This team has a dysfunctional offense and has for the past four years. There’s no way we offer him a long term deal. This team in its current form has no chance to advance in the playoffs, even IF it makes it that far. And that stinks. We need to build the rest of the offense around the QB and prepare for a legit franchise QB, maybe in 23; much more likely in 24. Until we get that, we’re going to see exactly what we saw today against the bad teams and big time struggle against the winning teams. My two cents…2 points

I still have a football from the Denver playoff game Femi tossed to me. Funny story; A friend had an extra ticket, his wife couldn't make so he, I and his 8 year old son went. At half time, I head up to get a hot cocoa, Femi, who had broken his foot earlier in the season, was in line in front of me. We started up a conversation about the game, how well it was going. Then I said with a smirk, half joking; hey, if you get a chance toss me a ball, I'm sitting right behind the bench. He laughed, played along and said sure. Late in the 4th with game out of hand, Femi came within ear shot. I yelled to him, there was a ball under the bench right behind him. He picks it up and tosses it to me...2 points

The players clearly loved Wink, were a bit shocked by this move, this should be interesting. The wrong move now could end the Harbs regime...2 points

Huntley should be the starter. Sit Jackson let him heal till the contract or trade him for picks. Papa has been right about harbaugh all along. He’s a motivational speaker at best and has very little football savy whatsoever. IMHO I’m not reacting to the game outcome either. It has been obvious to me for years.2 points

Why doest every parking lot in this country have solar panels in them that we park under. I just recently saw a vid on a technology they are about to use in the UK. They are going to add little vertical wind turbines to the light poles on the highways and as cars go by the wind off them turn the turbine. That is in addition to a windy day. Each one would power a few houses for a yr by the estimates. We have a lot of highway miles with probably millions of lights on them,2 points

I agree no team is perfect. But the teams that have the tools to hamper this offense are here. I don’t like having a qb that is so easily confounded. And a qb like that who has gotten overconfident on the weak concerns me in the playoffs. Again it’s the losing the same way that concerns me.1 point

Everyone knows it’s going to Godwin but his completions are outpacing teams. He has more yac than entire teams. btw spacing the backers gives their run game more room to operate.1 point

I wouldn't mind seeing them taking Clayton Tune, from Houston. 6'3, 200 pounds (room to bulk up). Good, solid, accurate arm, not a true running qb, but he moves through the pocket well, and can escape. He three for just over 4,000 yards last year, with 40 touchdowns. Yes, Likely a system qb, but in Monken's system, his short quick release could pay dividends. He is pretty accurate down field, had six passes of 40 yards or more, not the catch a quick hitch but actual air yards. He needs grooming, as one would expect from a later round pick, but...1 point

Smith is the #1 priority here, for how many years have we not built around the D? And we better beef up the D line, Campbell will most likely retire at seasons end. We so-called built the team around Lamar and that has totally blown up in our face, I'm sick of the MVP talk, teams didn't know how to defend him in 2019. Lamar has been figured out. Nobody knows the extent of his knee injury, maybe he needs surgery?1 point

Marcus Peters clearly had too much to eat over the holiday, took away his speed and his mind on how to cover. 3rd and 20, under 2 mins left, game on the line and they get the first down. That says it all...1 point

Alarming fact: Jeff Zrebiec • — Today at 8:51 AM Ravens defense has gotten much of the criticism for the 4th quarter meltdowns and deservedly so. Offense plenty culpable, too. Ravens have had 15 full 4th quarter drives. They've either thrown INTs or fumbled on 6 of them. And they've turned ball over on downs once My random thoughts: 2 turnovers and 10 penalties will get you a loss on the road almost every time. Peters and Humphrey seem a step slower. That's a concern. Tackling has been an issue. it was better yesterday. The Ravens got away from running the ball in the 2nd half and the Giants didn't. They played "Raven Ball" and won ugly. The Ravens run out of gas in the 4th quarter. On the passing attack: Lamar completed 53% of his passes. Not good. He missed wide open receivers for TD's. Make 1 of those and Ravens win. Andrews bails him out with some spectacular catches every game. Balls that are "in the neighborhood." Duverney too. There was some drops. There were 17 receptions on 32 targets for 210 yards and 1 TD. 12.4ypp. He hit 7 receivers. I'm giving myself today to work this loss off and then I'll move onto the upcoming Browns game tomorrow. As bad a yesterday was there a lot of good too. 4 sacks. 6 tackles for a loss. 5 QB hits. They held Barkley to 3.8 ypc. Travis Jones and Madubuike had awesome games. Kenyon Drake! 10 carries, 119 yards! 11.9 ypc! Why didn't the Ravens simply run over a Giants defense who were powerless against the run!? The Ravens receivers were open. Lamar couldn't get them the ball. I'm mainly disappointed. Campbell, Travis Jones, Madubuke, and Queen on defense had good games. Duverney had 1 catch on 5 targets. That hurt. Finally, and once again: 2 turnovers and 10 penalties will get you a loss on the road almost every time.1 point

Of course he has absolutely NO touch on his deep ball either... Ugh, I really hate how I view Lamar now, knowing he's holding out for more guaranteed money...1 point
-
Hit return too quick... He's not worth the guaranteed money he thinks he's worth. If he doesn't learn that there are other receivers outside of Andrews, he'll never get better.1 point

Thanks for asking. We're still in Cleveland at the Cleveland Clinic. His progress since the op has been slow. Today they're going back in to clean up some stuff. We are hoping and praying this is the end of the bad news. Doing everything I can to distract myself since only one visitor (his Mom) is allowed. Glad the board is here.1 point
