Bye Lamar. He is 1-3 in the playoffs and didn't bother to travel with the team for their playoff game. Maybe help guide the starting quarterback in his place, talk him up, be a leader. But, he wants to be the highest paid QB in the league. Maybe when he puts up the numbers, wins, accuracy, and reliability as Mahomes or Allen. Hell, Joe Burrow has more playoff wins.4 points

This time of year makes me sad. I really miss the drive up to McDaniel College to watch training camp practices and grabbing lunch with you guys afterward as we discuss what we saw. Good times gone by.3 points

All I can keep thinking is: "I hope we can keep him here". This is a guy you can build a defense around that will last years.3 points

He can ctach passes from Lamar all he wants, in the off season. But when the season starts, he can catch fish in the Seattle fish markets..3 points

Agreed the hangover extends into London or the team consumes some bad fish and chips . Either way, we don’t show up but even if we miraculously make it close, bad Lamar shows up, Harbaugh easily gets out coached by Vrabel, and we come home 3-3. Oh and Harbaugh throws another coach or player under the bus and explains how they’ll look at the film and get better. Book it !2 points

It is far worse than I even thought. I have been going back and forth with a dumbass. He thinks turdy is a great coach. I said he has been along for the ride and anything good that has happened to this team has been done despite him. So onto the research.2 points

This team is fizzling; reminds me of the end of the Billick era in circa 2006-7. The message is stale, there's little team character, chemistry and or substance. I think the right package - coach, OC & QB - can and should improve this teams lot. We might slide a year (2 yrs max), but Id rather do that then watch a very slow, painful bleed job.2 points

This line is actually better, much better than they played yesterday. They just had a very bad game, injuries caught up to them. We knee the rookie mountain would struggle with fast, small defensive ends. A good coach sees this and adjusts, and Roman did not adjust. Even the receivers are good enough, but using them properly, using routes designed to beat zones, get people open is the key. Roman does none of these things. As I said, this offense has gotten worse as the season has progressed, it is not as if the defenses have gotten better, quite the opposite in fact. Yes, the evidence is clear, even Harbs, the Biscuit have to see it, Roman has to go. Defenses are keeping their safeties with in 15 yards of the los, linebackers within 8. That makes it very difficult to run consistently. Before yesterday they would have to blitz to beat this offensive line, even then, the pass blocking held. The issue with the passing game was either poor route combos, or a qb who could not throw on time because he was confused, or could not throw accurately, leaving no yak. We saw proof of that at times yesterday. Huntley got the ball out quickly, timely, and accurately to provide yak. Is he the end all, certainly not. But he deserves a chance to show that this offense can score. You look at other games, Goff for crying out loud put up yards and points. Offenses see safeties 15 yards deep, linebackers 10, making it easier to not just run the ball, but have space for underneath routes, for yak. So that when there is a 5 yard pass, the receiver doesn't have 5 guys tackling him right away. The line will be fine, but they need help getting those back 7 to back off, it's all Roman.2 points

For whatever reason, we don’t play well against Jax- cant get that monkey off our backs. The D laid an egg in the 4th Q but it shouldn’t have come down to that. We should have been up 14-0 instead of 6-0 then let a weaker opponent stick around and come back. I think it’s safe to say we’ve seen Lamar’s ceiling. This team has a dysfunctional offense and has for the past four years. There’s no way we offer him a long term deal. This team in its current form has no chance to advance in the playoffs, even IF it makes it that far. And that stinks. We need to build the rest of the offense around the QB and prepare for a legit franchise QB, maybe in 23; much more likely in 24. Until we get that, we’re going to see exactly what we saw today against the bad teams and big time struggle against the winning teams. My two cents…2 points

I still have a football from the Denver playoff game Femi tossed to me. Funny story; A friend had an extra ticket, his wife couldn't make so he, I and his 8 year old son went. At half time, I head up to get a hot cocoa, Femi, who had broken his foot earlier in the season, was in line in front of me. We started up a conversation about the game, how well it was going. Then I said with a smirk, half joking; hey, if you get a chance toss me a ball, I'm sitting right behind the bench. He laughed, played along and said sure. Late in the 4th with game out of hand, Femi came within ear shot. I yelled to him, there was a ball under the bench right behind him. He picks it up and tosses it to me...2 points

Huntley should be the starter. Sit Jackson let him heal till the contract or trade him for picks. Papa has been right about harbaugh all along. He’s a motivational speaker at best and has very little football savy whatsoever. IMHO I’m not reacting to the game outcome either. It has been obvious to me for years.2 points

Why doest every parking lot in this country have solar panels in them that we park under. I just recently saw a vid on a technology they are about to use in the UK. They are going to add little vertical wind turbines to the light poles on the highways and as cars go by the wind off them turn the turbine. That is in addition to a windy day. Each one would power a few houses for a yr by the estimates. We have a lot of highway miles with probably millions of lights on them,2 points

Man I love an overcomer, Stetson was just that, pure determination got him back to back championships. I think he will be a very good back up qb, for a few years given his age, his height. While he is a quick twitch, quick release qb with excellent vision, I can't see him being any more than a backup. As far as arm strength for Tune, while it is true, he does not have the strongest arm, six passes, air yards, of over 40 yards tells the tale as they say. It is strong enough.1 point

Except, they've already lost consistently: Dolphins, Bills, Bengals, Giants, Jaguars, Stealers, Bengals. And they almost blew: Bengals, Browns, Bucs, Broncos, Stealers. Not to mention they scored LESS points against the Bengals in the playoffs than in the previous week against the same team, while giving up MORE points in that same game. Embarrassing. Sure, they almost won, but see above. This team ended the season 10-7, but could have been 15-2 OR 5-12. That's how consistent they've been surrending games.1 point

It may still be Lamar, if he wants to play here. The system is not that different, though some would say it is, including the Ravens. They saw Huntley every day since they drafted him, they knew his limitations, yet stayed with him. He is always someone who tries to do more than his abilities, admirable, until it leads to big mistakes as we have seen. That scares me a little. Sure they drafted Joe and Lamar, but they also brought in Elvis. Like Joe, they never built around him, a statue who needs a good line. I still remember that play in Pit, in the playoffs. Q streaking free after a double move, Elvis about to him for a long touchdown, but the turn style Swayne leads his man Olay, Elvis is hit as he threw, pick.. changed the game.. They drafted Boller, hoping he would turn into Josh Allen, we saw glimpses, but like Huntley, just has the pension to make the bone headed mistake. So then it was McNair, may he rest in peace. Loved seeing him in camp, a real fan friendly guy. But that was a bust, shockingly. I truly believe if the Ravens had Hinkley, Commandos qb, they win last night. He is slightly better than Huntley, but is limited as we saw with them. Trading for and taking on Carr's contract is not viable. Easily better than Huntley, but the cost is too high. Trading for an unproven player like say the other qb the Commandos have, Sam Howell, he can run this offense, has tasted the NFL, but will they trade him? The draft has a number of potentials, you know who I prefer, Will Levis, like Howell, has the tools to run this offense.. here I go rambling again, sorry..1 point

So, other than Lamar, we will be at full strength for the game, especially on defense. So glad to have Peters back, though his subs did a fine job. Him at full strength, Williams, even Humphries who has had some nagging injuries. I can't remember the last game I wanted them to win as bad I really want them to win this one. I hope Roman has seam routes with Andrews and Likely on either side of their safeties written down for every pass play. The Bengals made it clear those routes will be wide open, as they press to stop the run & close out on those underneath routes. Are you listening Gregg Roman!1 point

I watch a ton of college ball, more so than NFL now. You can see many great college quarterbacks who make incredible throws, but when they get into the NFL, the speed of the defense, the way receivers run their routes, the offensive lines that are not as good, the speed of the rushers, even the size of the ball. What ever it is, they just cannot make those types of throes any longer. Mac Jones is a good, recent example. Terrible line, average wide outs who struggle to get open, his accuracy has dropped 10 fold. We could go down the list of qbs like him who are now struggling at this level. Some do take 5+ years to come around, a few turn out. Yes some of it is the system, some coaching. Geno Smith is another good example, only now is he starting to get it. Maybe it is a one year wonder, maybe more. But this year, back to the thread topic, we have more teams with below 500 records, still eligible for the playoffs. We might have 3 teams below 500 make the playoffs, that is bad football.1 point

Look at the stats Justin Fields and Jalen Hurts are putting up. Two qbs similar in style as Lamar. Both dangerous rushers, Hurts a better passer, defenses know to keep an eye on them but they still run wild. Not Lamar any more, why? Not the offense, more so the passing threat. Teams are still playing man against them, so running is easier, and they are not trying to prove that they are pocket passers. My pt, a lot of Lamar's issues are in his head, he tries to stay in the pocket too long, hesitates to run too much, so when he does, a five yard gain at best. All three teams now run a similar offense as ours, save for better pass combinations....1 point

The Broncos have the #3 defense in points surrendered per game @ 17.6. Their D is #3 in yards surrendered at 306.4 per game. They are tough. Especially because they get no help from the O. Yanda gets inducted into the Ravens Ring of Honor at halftime. This is OT but we need something to cheer about on a rainy day ... ... FYI: 3. (AFC North Champion) Ravens Despite the Ravens' shocking loss to Jacksonville, the computer still thinks Baltimore is going to win the AFC North. The Ravens have two big things working to their advantage. The first one is that they have the second-easiest remaining strength of schedule with their opponents having a combined winning percentage of just .403 (The Bengals have the fourth-most difficult at .591). The second thing is that the Ravens are 2-0 in the division. If Baltimore goes just 2-2 in their final four division games, that will clinch the divisional tiebreaker and if that happens, the Bengals will have to finish one full game ahead of the Ravens to win the AFC North title. As things stand now, the computer is giving the Ravens a 74% chance of winning the division, which is way ahead of the Bengals (21.7%).1 point

I wonder if we are now witnessing Lamar’s ceiling. We keep awaiting the return of weapons - Gus, JK, Bateman, Jackson and healthy Stanley - in the hopes of seeing a scary Lamar and offense. I believe we saw it in 2019 when Lamar lit it up ! Maybe we have to accept the 25-30 rushes/game and Lamar passing 10-15 maybe 20 times/game. If the run game is dominant, Lamar should succeed. If not, Lamar will struggle, especially vs the better defenses. IDK where this takes us but I have felt (for some time) we have seen Lamar’s best. Maybe now his body is starting to break down - just a little. I’m glad we haven’t signed him yet to a long term deal and would rather wait to see how he and the team fare down the stretch. Looking ahead, we are developing a helluva strong, young D and the offensive line and backfield are stout and trending upward. In my opinion, QB is the one position we could afford to move on from IF we don’t make or go deep in the playoffs. The knock on Lamar and /or Roman is they cant win in the playoffs. Let’s see where this goes the next 7+ games. We’ll know then.1 point

It's gonna be windy today, they have to wait, they don't want him to get blown over in the parking lot and have to pay an injury settlement1 point

Then explain why the titans are the 1.seed. I am not allowing them to make that excuse. Rb some a dozen and Murray and Freeman proved that. Before the sea on we were discussing if Stanley might never be right again. If the team didn't prepare for it then they lack due diligence. Some of these injuries are on the strength and conditioning. That coach brought in c0vid last yr bc he was being am ass and should have been fired then. Changes need to be made or we will get more of the same.1 point

Yes, it sure does. Now, why is that? If anything, Huntley playing has showed us what Bateman can do, & how far Lamar has fallen. What we don't know is why? Brain fog for one reason or another? Eye sight? Fear of making a mistake? Looking for that big play too often? Those plays that were made today, let's be honest, only 1 was a great throw but also an incredible catch by Bateman. All of the rest were easy throws with great effort by Bateman & Andrews (32 yard catch & run) Once again we saw the play calling/design haunt this team. Frankly, I think Roman has worn out his welcome.1 point

Hill is a wasted roster spot, I know, I know, he is a decent special teams player. But if it windy out, he can't move unless he wants to be blown over by a 5 mph gust... Gurlie is just not dependable now, slowed by his knee injuries and can he even run in this type of offensive blocking scheme?1 point
