The ax continues to fall, this time a surprise move after negotiations break down.... https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/titans-and-mike-mularkey-are-reportedly-parting-ways-hours-after-talk-of-new-contract/

The future is very bright. Did you watch the playoff games? Did you see how bad those teams are that were and even the ones still in the hunt? Are you kidding me? Even the Pats are not a dominant team, not a well rounded team. Case Kenum? Blake Bortles? Nick Foles? Sure, the Vikes and Jags have a good defense, but they both collapsed in the 4th quarter. The Eagles have a solid defense, but nothing too great. The Pats defense is average at best. None of the offenses are "prolific". This team is not that far off from these playoff teams, seriously. I know, the coaching stinks, no wide outs, terrible line, but.. It doesn't take much to be the best of the worst that is the play in today's NFL. Yes, cap strapped, over reaching front office. But hey, one lucky catch, pass, blown call can overcome all of this....
-
Wanna see how bad the league is? Look at who 3 of the 4 remaining quarterbacks are; retreads or hacks... Unreal.
-
Well, Pit is not a very good team either.
-
Yeah, most Bama players have trouble staying healthy in the NFL, but he to tough, tone, and hungry to prove his worth. He might not be there, but he or Christian Kirk would be great at 16. There are several good options at wide out this year. Just as long as it is not another Bama defender at 16..... I might have to quit this team if Ozzie does that again, until he is replaced..
-
Maybe we should put a billboard up in OM so the front office knows who draft.
-
Oh, Panthers fired both coordinators today..... Ravens should have done the same
-
Should be interesting to see how aggressive he is and what types of players he likes....
-
Oh and best of luck to you buddy, my prayers are with you.

Grub, it has been reported that Brady took less, in reality he just pushed it down the line, took a bigger bonus. The "thought" was he is the best ever so he could have wanted the most money in history. Thus the "taking less". The union strongly advises players to take the most so that, cough, other players will get more as well...
-
Maybe they should trade for Brady's trainer.....
-
Exactly, they have been the excuse for the past five years...

He came back because his family was watching the game together to honor a lost loved one. He came back to here just to stqy in touch with us, his friends. Crav is not a bandwagon fan.
-
2 things, he gave up on the team over the protests, he also had a family tragedy.
-
He is to smart for that, his team has solid special teams but no offense... Sound familia-ar?
-
Thanx Grub. Odd move, he has little experience coaching quarterbacks, save a few years with Andy Reid mostly a wide receivers coach. Ah nepotism, gotta love it, one day it has to pay off, right?
-
Long, very, very long. I am sure there are some exaggerations, but a lot of truth as well. The Pats rebuttal is also in there.. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/page/hotread180105/beginning-end-new-england-patriots-robert-kraft-tom-brady-bill-belichick-internal-power-struggle

He is just echoing what he reads here and other message boards. Last week Harbs was using the late time as an excuse for poor fan turn out. Last month, it was the kneeling and how sorry they were, in that stupid letter.
-
Wow, those guys are reaching for players who disappear in games, who will likely not be more than special teams players....
-
Don't bother to factor in the bad defenses they faced when the offense "improved". I understand wanting to not have to have another offensive coordinator for Joe & the offense to adjust to, five is enough... Nonetheless, the offense was bad even with the scoring improvement; look no further than the lack of touchdowns when starting drives from their own 25 or less... The lack of scoring touchdowns given the number of turnovers the defense created. Using Pita as an injury example, as if they truly depended on him after 2 hip surgeries! If they truly did, this coaching staff is more screwed up than we thought.

At least the Front Office has one thing going for it next year
tsylvester replied to Tornado700's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Plenty of players on the defensive line, but they did not have the energy to put pressure on qbs late in games, late in the season. The offensive line, while not great, could not sustain its energy late in games, late in the year. That is training and conditioning, even with the "new" coach, same issue as years past. -

& the conditioning coaches, let us not forget them, this team never ran out of gas..... -
Well, we have to look which qbs this off season will be traded or released. Eli, Cousins, I thought maybe Dalton but with Marv back as coach that long shot is now shot. If Foles does well in the playoffs, does his stock rise again?
