Why? MD has a quarterback, a dual threat one at that; the kid can play, he just needs help... and a good coach.... Who is going to be the next coach? Bret Bielema maybe? He could be in hot water down there with that very disappointing season for the Razor Backs.... Did Charlie Strong do enough by winning the Red River rivalry, or would he be a good choice? Greg Shiano, would he come out from behind the desk and would he be a good fit? Maybe just maybe Shawn Paeyton would move to the college ranks? Kyle Shanahan would be a great fit; offensive mind, NFL expereince to lean on, would he leave the Falcons?
-
Just as well. Seeing all his sacks (come in the first half of the year last season) was nice, but he was no where to be found when the defense needed a big stop late in games. Another failed signing by Ozzie. Elvis can only get sacks when there is a prolific sack master on the other side or he is up against a tight end?
-
Did you hear why he was out? I never heard the reason, hurt, AGAIN?!
-
Extending Webb, Smith, Hill, it all adds up.....
-
2 pt conversion, where space is tight, and Tressman calls a screen pass, not a wide receiver screen, mind you, but an actual screen pass; fail..... Kick the extra point the Ravens win......
-
Yep, this team in the worst in the NFL at both stopping a screen pass play and, running a screen........ A two point conversion and you call a screen pass when this team can't run one? You can't get an inch on the offensive tackle, suddenly you can and you don't realize it is a screen? Your job is to man up on the running back and you lose him for a big gaining screen play?
-
One excuse..... next!
-
I'll say it again, he can't get off the jam. Givens is actually faster than T Smith....
-
He can't get off a jam either. Shoot, the few times they used Givens (faster than Torrey) he got deep but Joe had no time to get him the ball. The one time he threw to him, it was under thrown because Flacco could not step into it....
-
The defensive line is fine, best part of this team, yes, this team. Their issue is a lack of depth, blame the coaches and front office people. They got worn down in the 4th quarter from stopping the run & pressuring the quarterback. Shoot, they were in his lap most of the game. The line is fine, just need depth, but because fo the horrific play of the secondary & often injured players back there, they have to carry more of them than lineman. The receivers are what we thought they were; zone receivers. Did you see the stat about the offense in the 4th quarter? 1 completed pass. Why? They could not get open. Why? bump & run again.......
-
Boy he just proved my point today, didn't he?! Can't cover, goes off book and can't make the play. Shoot, he even doesn't get a deep enough drop when in zone to prvent toe deeper routes over the middle..... Oh, it's his second year, we should't expect too much of the young man, right? I mean, he was only a first round draft pick from Alabama. Guess what his issues were coming out of college? hint- see above..... I said it on draft day two years ago, and it holds true today. He is only good at blitzing, even then, only every now & then. Did he cost this team the game? No, but boy did he fail to play a big role in a victory....
-
Personal goals, he is close to some milestones.... Let us see what they need first; receivers, linebackers, secondary, offensive lineman if two of them walk....... Defensive coordinator, offensive coordinator, scouts, GM, oh wait, you can't draft the later.....
-
Franchise record for the Browns passing game, yes players have to play, but coaches have to teach..... Fire Pees tonight, let Brooks take over... Another 4th quarter lead, double digit lead, blown.... Horrible secondary players and you call all out blitzes?????????????? Fire Tressman tonight, no imagination in the passing game; none. No use of the tight ends except on a drag route along the line of scrimmage or one out route? Really? I know, they scored 30 points, in spite of, not because of the play calling. Ozzie, retire, your draft picks, personnel decisions were on full display today; full of failure. A microcosm of the season, of the past drafts.

Crav, it is at every school. Bottom line says they have to make money or end up like SMU, or UAB, who had last minute saves by former alums with an influx of money.
-
From a recruiting stand point, they should stay in the Big 10, or is it 12.... any who...... The ACC is limited in tv revenue, /exposure, the the Big 10 has more options, Also, the ACC is limited in the types of players who will go there and the best ones, group wise, go to Miami, FSU, GT, and now Duke. MD just needs a real coach who can not only recruit well, but teach players how to play the game, the positions, properly. Edsall was not that guy. He had one good year in CT, caught lightening in a bottle, and jumped ship right after. That should have spoken loudly to MD officials, but they wanted to make a splash and now it has cost them. The Fridge is the type of coach they need, one who can teach as well as coach. There is some one out there like him, MD just needs to find him and properly research. This is why I don't understand firing him now, unless they have already done the research and have their guy.
-
Time will tell with him. He needs to bulk up, add some weight & strength, plus learn some moves. He is far away from being a great a draft pcik at this point.
-
Inconsistan hands because of concentration. Proper route running = getting open. Speed can only do so much, unless you are playing against the Ravens secondary......... He just never took his game to the next level there in Mini and having Diggs beat him out, wow, never would have guessed that one, but Diggs has worked hard. it is a pipe dream, I think the team is done for now, no sense loading up with receivers when they have no idea what Perriman can do in real games and if their latest additon pans out, they will need to contract him up, so you really would not need Patterson at that point... They should know over the next two games if their new hire can help this offense or not, either by how he does or by how he opens up the middle...
-
Yeah, they should have waited for the season to end. Maybe make a run at Chip Kelly.....
-
The Vikes have pretty much benched the wide out we know so well from that game he had against the Ravens, in the snow, one of the most exciting games of all time; Cordell Patterson. Great return man, speed, upon speed, could be had for a 5th maybe a conditional 6th..... Doesn't run routes too well, but his quickness and speed.... wow...

Yes, I can see we agree on a lot. My mistake thinking you wanted public records, sorry about that.... I recently saw a news story where police we called to a man's home and they found over 100 guns of different types; he was arrested. The news story did not cover why they were called nor why he was arrested; I am sure it was for other reasons other than owning a lot of guns. I just envision a time when tht will be the only reason. But one point I cannot give in on is how they accumulate the stats for gun violence. You can look it up if you want, but what I said true; they include gang related shootings & deaths in their numbers. Those numbers are greatly increased if we include the numbers. Just look at Baltimore and Chicago over a 10 day period for shootings & killings. They can combine for close to 20 deaths and more than 50 shootings. Multiply that out for a year and you can see how those gang related numbers will greatly affect legally owned gun shootings & killings. I do agree, these mass shootings are clearly on the rise. When I was young, you never heard of this, never. Now, could be the media did not report on it as they do today, or that it never happened, don't know. But while they use guns to do this, most of them were illegally obtained, this shooter appears to have them legally, which would not be the norm. So I am not sure how stronger gun laws will make much of a difference. When a prson feels wronged enough, they will strike out any way they can. This is a psychological fact that can not be argued against. Go to your local library (or else if you use a search engine the feds will come visit you ) and look up books on making simple but effective boomers. Boston was a good lesson on this and some one desperate enough to go shooting up schools, malls, churches, etc, will turn to that and using books, who will know?
-
It isn't that simple. There is a psycology that plays a huge roll in how some one kills. Guns are more personal than a bomb, knife is more personal than guns, bare hands are the most personal way to kill some one. But if a person is too weak to use their hand they reach for a weapon,. If there is no knife, they get a gun. If they cannnot get a gun, they will use a bomb. Look no further than Oklahoma bombing, sure they used guns as well, but the premise holds- it is easy to make them without the feds knowing. Look at Columbine, again, the bombs did not work, but they tried to use them, they built them with out anyone knowing. Why should thee be a limit on how many guns some one owns? Some people collect sports memorbilia, some colect knives, some toys, some guns. At shooting ranges they are fun to shoot, no different thn going to the golf range or batting cage. Not everyone who collects guns wants to hurt people. In fact, as I said ealier, if you factor out the killins & shootings done by gangs with illegal guns, gun vilonce is at its lowest rate than ever before, dispite more people owning more guns than ever before in this country. I do agree with back ground checks, it is simple & easy. What I don't agree with is limiting the number of guns for a person nor making those registrations public.

I cracked two ribs in the first half of a game, never missed a snap in that game nor the remainder of the season, another 6 games.... you Floridians, so whimpy, whimpy, whimpy....
-
He was speared center mass on the back, not sure how the back ribs would break and not the transverse process; which is the most common back injury break. But then, we are all different and he was turning when hit....
-
pshht, broken ribs, palease, he can play with a vest on; taint no big deal to play with broken ribs.....
-
If you have time right now, or over the next few weeks, try & catch a WVA game (they are at the half right now vs Oklahoma). This kid has range, instincts & speed to get from his position in the middle to the side lines, quickly. Hitter? you bet, he was voted as the biggest hitter in the College ranks. There is no doubt the Ravens need a safety, he could be the one, a four year starter with good cover skills and who can tackle....
