  1. Want to hear something really out of this world? Me thinks the Packers and Pats are going to be undefeated when they meet in the Super Bowl.......... and Max,
  2. Yep, looks like they will win, but the dream team looks to drop another one........... As much as Vick complained about taking extra hits and not getting the call........ His line gets away with more holding calls than any other, and never gets called...........
  3. Sure Max, we know where that knowledge comes from Your ideas are unparalleled... We know you go beyond anything we can We are with ya bud! If you want us to be
  4. These are very comfy, I have four of them,. My late wife baught them a while back from one of the local Ravens stores, not sure which one. I wil let them go seperately, in pairs or all four. $20 per, two for $25, all four $45.
  5. NO need to lock him up No need to be rude! Let us just celebrate the young, did I say young, talented defensive lineman who are hungry to prove they belong The fact the offense has not had a helathy Lee Evans since that dreaded horse collar tackle in the pre season Don't answer the phone Max is too wise Let him dream baby!
  6. Yeah, it's so easy a caveman can do it! why stay in stealth mode Let's stop sitting around and hop along to Indi! I mean this offense can run the ball consistantly, right? Sure the offensive line has trouble protecting Joe And yes, it is only four games into the season, but we don't need to see anyone Max has not been siping too much
  7. I just want to see them do away with that stupid naked boot leg play, with or without a body guard. Since the Ravens came to be it has never worked here, works for other teams, just not the Ravens for some reason. No matter who the coach or quarterback was/is, take a knee next it is called, works the same..........
  8. what crav said. this was clear back in April with their draft choices and again when they traded for Evans. Flacco has the arm and normally the accuracy. people forget his carrer completion % is over 60. Now it's a matter of proper timing with the deep threats. Smith didnt run full speed on the first 9 route, which threw Joe off, leading to the ball being over thrown by what, two yards, maybe three.... He was open too........ On the other one down the middle, Joe was just off target because he was having a bad game. Check Brady, he too has games where his completion % is sub or near 50.... It happens sometimes, these guys are human.... I like it, just not when it is clear Joe is off, against top pass defenses, when the lead is 17 or more and your best deep threat is injured..... Cam screwed the pooch not exploiting the lb's of the Jets with the te's as he did earlier in the game. There is nothing wrong with deep crossing routes, Cam just got away from them................
  9. Even that pick-six was not all his fault. He thought Rice would continue running, instead, Rice sat down between the backers; miscommunication. Joe started short stepping because of the rush, which lead to high throws, but it was clear after the first quarter, he was shaken and should not have passed as often. As I said in the game thread, 27 attempts in the first half when you are up by 20 is insane, especially when your team has yet this season, to establish a true running game. They are going to need that running game against the Texans to keep that offense off the field. They stand no chance of getting into a shoot out with Shaub and the Ravens secondary.
  10. That was one fun game, look, the offense was air shows last week, this week, the defense was that of old........ good for the soul........ Cam has some work to do on his play calling, the egg Joe laid was largely due to what he was being fed by Cam in the way of play calls and pattern selection. Joe was off no doubt, but the play calling certainly didnt help him
  11. If Cam calls one more pass play, fire him on the spot.
  12. Awful? who asks any quarterback to throw 27 times against one of the best pass defenses in the league, in the first half and with a 20 point lead? Joe has been running around for his life, several of this throws were just toss aways, at least three were dropped, and yes,, he missed a few as well. But the passing woes are not on him......
  13. It's not all Joe, it's Cam, they should have been running the ball more all season. Now, when they need to run the ball to shorten the game, rest the defense, keep the lead, they cannot. 48 passes last week was a waste. This line can only pass protect so much in this game and you see the results. Joe is now gun shy, 8 for 27? oye..... they may blow this lead......... ala Pitt last year...............
  14. There are no cities, no teams' fans more neurotic than those from PA; Pitt and Phili and both sets need the passed. Oh to listen to the radio in Pitt & phili, now that would be entertainment....
  15. Max, I really like Tom Jackson, good player who played great, above his talent, for many years. He is also an excellant analyst, however he lets his prejudice get in the way some times. Now mind you, he has good reason, he played in a time when racism was running rampant in the NFL. It still exists to some extent, but that is another topic. Vick does not get hit, and here is the key word, illegally, any more than any other quarterback. Last week, tommy gave the impression, based on ONE play, that Vick was getting hit, illegally, far more than any other qb. He was really worked up about it. apparently this over the course of this week, some one got to him and had him tone it down, showed him he was wrong. Today, he points out that is was just one play, but then goes on a rant that closet dog lovers are officials and are holding Vick's killing and torture of dogs against him, allowing, yep, illegal hits. Were Vick white, Tommy would not say a word, yet his bias has him making more excuses. Has Vick turned the corner as a quarterback? Yes, he can now read defenses, basic coverages mind you. His accuracy has improved greatly, I am surprised at that, most qb's can't improve their accuracy, so good for him. But let us not think that Vick get hits, illlegally, any more, or, far more than other quarterbacks, mobil or not. Sal Palantonio once told me that the media was essentially under orders to make Vick seem better than he was, that was before jail. I've a feeling that same mantra is back.
  16. It really amazes me what anouncers of these games, especially in college, try to pass off as truth. They make more up than is actually true, even try to convince us what we see did not happen, something else did.........
  17. This is going to be a tough fight, but the ends match up well to their backers. On 3rd down, Rex pulls Scott and puts in 6 db's, again, edge Ravens. Rex will have his boys set up to stop the run as the first priority. Honestly, that is not hard to do if you look inside the Ravens rushing numbers; they are skewed. Baltimore has yet, believe it or not, to play a full game, especially run for a full 60 mins. But with Mangold likely out, or best case, playing hurt, Haloti should be able to manhandle him and get penetration/pressure in the face of Sanchez. Night game, black unis, not too confident of a victory, but the match up this year, is there. Just saw Evans will be out, that stinks, but the Jets now have to respect Smith, even if he is not a conistant catch guy and struggles against pump & run or press coverage. Should be fun to watch. Good to see you again Max.
  18. Look for the Ravens offense to set the tone, more like in week one. The Ravens have the size & speed advantage v the Jets linebackers, just as in the Pit game. Smith and Evans (should play) will aid in taking the safeties deep, leaving the middle wide open in man coverage, linebackers vs tight ends; advantage Ravens. The defense for the Ravens is the worrisome part. That line has to get penetration up the middle, Sanchez is terrible when you get in his face. Plus, the corners are not very good, nor is the depth there, so pressure is key from the front four, the Jets are weak up the middle....
