How is it, after the Os win the AL East and the Bosox win the AL cellar, all the ESPN talking heads, media do nothing but ramble and salivate over the Bosox off-season and their challenges ? Just this morning ESPN spent almost 5 minutes lamenting about the Bosox starting pitching woes and their difficulties in reaching the post-season. Who gives a damn about the last place Bosox, their overpaid and /or overweight FA's and their exorbitant payroll ? . How about the defending AL East Champ O's, Buck Showalter, and their prospects for returning to the playoffs ? Why isn't anyone talking about what they going to do in the offseason, besides losing Cruz & Markakis ? I totally get ESPN is in Bristol Conn, Boston has big market, Baltimore has medium market, but the overwhelmingly blatant bias towards the Bosox and Yanks is downright sickening. I have been an O's fan since the 60s and have never quite understood such a huge (and getter larger) disparity in the media and fan base between the Os and the $$$ teams. Anyone have a rational, reasonable, unbiased answer or reason ?
