  1. I miss him.
  2. Hmmmm. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/06/10/vonta-leach-on-the-way-out-in-baltimore/
  3. Agreed. Every one of these owners is in some variation a money-hungry prick. We judge them by what they give back of it, but what they do with what's kept is pretty much the same throughout.
  4. Clayton was not a bust. He just wasn't a #1 receiver. He's a nice guy regardless, and I hope he finds something cool to spend the rest of his life doing.
  5. There is plenty of depth behind them. You are simply only aware and comfortable with names that you've already heard before. That, as this business dictates and as the front office will show you, isn't how teams (good ones, anyway) actually operate. Not a single one of those stopgap LBs you mentioned are remotely as valuable at $1 million as the players (Bynes and McClellan included) already accounted for on our roster. Urlacher will be doing television in a few months, Spikes has under-performed his early reputation for most of the past decade, and Dansby was out of our price range (and is an outside linebacker, by the way...).
  6. They aren't going to pick up any of them. Huge waste of money. We do not need a stopgap old guy at LB.
  7. There's probably a very solid chance, considering he's only 23 (e.g. in three years he'll still be a very young 26). Oh well.
  8. Furious about the end of the Loyola/Duke game.
  9. We lost a lot more, but we also had a lot more to lose...and replaced it with quite a bit, too. I don't think the Steelers will be as awful as some people predict, but these are Ben's later years, whether you guys like it or not, and he doesn't have nearly the team around him that he used to.
  10. I'd rather see them throw $500k at the stadium than waste it on that poor guy. He needs to go home and lie down. There is no player in the entire league more at risk to be killed by a hit than Collie. And don't get me wrong, because I think he could have been a fantastic receiver. He's just on his way to a really bad place when he gets older.
  11. I'm here literally every day. I just don't post much because all I have right now is an iPad. Therefore, vomit.
  12. Yeah, Jones would come into my coffee shop in Owings Mills when I was still running it/he was a rookie, especially when I told him I went to Syracuse. He's not the biggest guy at all, but he's extremely strong.
  13. Because there is absolutely no way that he will clear a concussion test. I'm pretty sure that he will never even play football again at this point.
  14. Too annoying to watch for more than a few seconds.
  15. Wildly furious about this, but also not surprised. I have a MUG Club ticket this year, so beer's on them all day long, but I have no desire to buy their food for 12 hours. Dammit.
  16. I'm not such a fan. He is not fast at all, and his hands are probably only slightly above average. His stats were in large part due to the very passing-oriented offense that he played in along with the senior QB who felt comfortable with him. His route running looks pretty good, but his blocking seemed really lazy when I could see it.
  17. This thread took an unacceptable turn that I refuse to allow.
  18. Didn't take long. What happens now? http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/9198542/rolando-mcclain-baltimore-ravens-arrested-charged-alabama
  19. Agreed. Suggs is gone long before Ngata.
  20. I'm pretty sure we never offered him a contract. It was more along the lines of telling him what we thought he was worth.
  21. I don't really understand why you guys keep saying that. If we offered him a contract, we obviously plan on being able to afford him. In reality we know very, very little about the cap situation.
  22. According to PFT, anyway, he'll choose between staying in Denver or coming to Baltimore on Sunday. Stay tuned.
  23. It's extremely deep. It's not top heavy, so it has no shock value. But this is the perfect draft to have a ton of picks.
  24. Not at all. The road game will just happen to be first.
  25. The union is really doing their best to save face and they're doing it by screwing their members. I think the union might be the weakest it has been for a very long time, Upshaw, Smith, or otherwise. I can't believe they re-upped Smith, and I don't think some of the players can believe it either.
