  1. This.
  2. Much appreciated. Do you think many Bengals fans would agree with you? I know I'd have liked to see you guys win it more than anyone, if not us.
  3. Heap is okay, though. According to Q-Tip. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/2009/columns/story?columnist=clayton_john&id=4813529

  5. I like Bill Cowher right now. Never felt better to hear him say good things about the Ravens.
  6. Harbaugh looks more nervous than Wade Phillips did last night, knowing his job was on the line. The refs AND the booth have still generally managed to stick their noses up the Patriots' collective asses. Simms is at least pretty fair.
  7. Boo. Nick Saban is too much of a douchebag for me to ever think of rooting for Alabama.
  8. Weather forecast: 22 and sunny.
  9. I'll remember her totally and completely butchering the New Year's countdown on WJZ last week. Awful.
  10. How much does he want? He's a freaking kick returner. Kickers are much more valuable, and get paid less. What a joke. People will side with him, though, simply because it's the Browns.
  11. Wait. We don't play Indy next year? Something must be wrong...
  12. Kyle Boller was too fast. Joe Flacco is too slow. What do you people want?!
  13. Yup. And on CBS.

  16. I nearly did put Boller. Couldn't follow through, though. You're taking this way too seriously. Use whatever parameters you want. Ask what he used. It's not as if any of us can objectively be exactly right, anyway. I agree with every argument you've made against the players on his list, but can you find a better choice? That's the point.
  17. QB- Flacco RB- Lewis FB- McClain TE- Heap LT- Ogden LG- Mulitalo C- Flynn (sigh) RG- N/A RT- Brown K- Stover KR- Sams P- Zastudil DT- Gregg DE- Burnett DE- Goose LB- Suggs LB- Boulware LB- Lewis CB- McAlister CB- Baxter S- Reed S- Woodson
  18. It's irrelevant to this subject, but that article you posted really ticked me off, Cleet. I can't stand John Clayton whatsoever. Half of the QB's in the league are "elite"? Throwing for 220 yards a game is "elite"? I don't know if he just can't find any new ways to make as many NFL friends as possible, but he's really becoming a caricature; I say that because his articles are like this more and more. These are the important stats. Another important one is that Flacco has played every game since he joined the team. He's a tough guy, and it gets overlooked.
  19. UGH. I sure hope the rain clears it out soon, because I have a lot of driving to do today.
  20. Agreed with Cleetz. The talent isn't really out there this year to throw around the big contracts. I think I'd actually be happier this offseason to see what he can piece together. Also, there are reports that the Cards offered him 8 years and $140 million yesterday, so it wouldn't really matter anyway. Besides that, the guy is 30. And, according to this report, the O's offer is true: http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/Ringolsby-Holliday-contract-123009
  21. NO.
  22. Ravens starters: Ray Lewis, inside/middle linebacker Le'Ron McClain, fullback Haloti Ngata, interior lineman Ed Reed, free safety Ravens backups IN the Pro Bowl: Ray Rice, running back Ravens Pro Bowl alternates: Ben Grubbs Terrell Suggs Matt Birk Tom Zbikowski
  23. It's still Monday, but I actually feel like I'd be happier as an 8-8 no show in the playoffs than 9-7 and getting in undeservedly. When the Bengals/Pats beat us in their stadium, will we feel any better? No. Our record this season will be either 8-8 or 9-8. And if we made it any further, I'd be embarrassed. We aren't the Cardinals, looking for any chance at postseason play. It will not be an entertaining two weeks if we beat the Raiders (the first week being the embarrassment of being in the playoffs, the second week the hangover from a New England/Cincinnati blowout). Even better: in 2008, we lost to the Steelers three times. Who wants to lose to Cincinnati three times in 2009? It's sickening to even think about. I have no desire to watch playoff football this year. Especially since I likely don't have to root for whatever team Pittsburgh is playing.
  24. It was an easy call. He ran ten yards downfield, got into the ref's face, then swung his hand in the air (hitting the ref's arm) as he walked away. Easy call.
