I understood that, which is why I said what I did. You're overestimating the recovery period based on underestimation of medical capabilities.

An out-of-shape McKinnie at LT is still a big upgrade. That would allow us to move Oher to RT. Talk about an upgrade then going from Cousins to Oher at RT.
-
Amazing pick up especially considering his contract is so small the next 2 years after he signed a big 4 year deal that was front-loaded. We really need to go get Bryant McKinnie now at 1 Year 2.5 Million like Rosenhaus sent to all the teams and move Oher back to RT. Championship.

Anyone find a stream online? I'm struggling here.

“@jamisonhensley: Source: Former #Jets WR Jerricho Cotchery won't be joining #Ravens. He visited team Tuesday.” Really don't see what we have to lose by signing this guy to what would likely be a veterans minimum contract. He can go over the middle and doesn't go down easily. Works the sidelines well, and also can get behind the defense. Granted he's not as good as he once was, but what's the risk here again? Don't agree with passing on him right now. We need another veteran WR, who is a better option out there?
-
Yeah even if he isn't back yet we are pretty deep at CB, if lacking a star. Given that Webb is looking like the Punt Returner, I'm guessing Carr and Smith start the season at 1 and 2 with Webb the nickel. We would have the luxury of letting Foxworth sit on the PUP for a few weeks to heal up if need be, but given that he is participating in camp I don't think his injury is as serious as people are making out to be. Harbaugh knows Carr and Webb can start and clearly the plan is for Smith to be a starter so why would they be rushing Foxworth back if he wasn't ready? Doesn't add up to me.

I'll try to find some more numbers but I'm sure it's around the $5 Million mark now from articles I have read in the last few weeks. We were just under $10 but have since signed Carr, Williams and Pollard. I haven't seen publicized figures on the Carr or Pollard deals but I'm guessing Pollard was at or just over the vet min and Carr probably around $2 Million. I've also read that Ngata's cap figure is 12.5 Million now but restructuring/resigning him could free up to another $5 Million or so depending on how much we give him in year 1. Sadly I haven't seen anything saying we are close to getting that done. It's the only thing Ozzie has (hasn't) done this offseason that worries me. I'm a student so I have the time to follow all the NFL and Ravens reporters on Twitter and read pretty much everything ESPN and the Baltimore Sun website put out, that's the only reason I 'seem' to have knowledge haha.

This is not 1984, it does not take guys who are working with an NFL training staff 18 months to come back from an ACL injury anymore.
-
He passed the physical and watched practice, no signing reported as of yet though, or even an offer extended.
-
That has absolutely zero chance of happening. We're at less than $5 Million in space left. Even if we resigned Ngata to free up more space they wouldn't waste it all on a corner.
-
Hmm... I don't know, maybe there's a good $34 Million reasons why? Really, was that a serious question? I would've also liked Stallworth back, but he signed with Wash I believe. Housh seemed to clash too much with the coaching staff to come back. Cotchery seems like he'd be a good low-risk, high-reward signing.

McGahee went to Denver for a bigger role and more money. Why would he have 'restructured' here for less money and less carries? 10 years ago doesn't matter with the damage done on Willis' body. Ricky is older but has less wear and tear as he was out of the NFL for 3 seasons. He also had better statistics last year and looks (I know this is subjective) better to me on video than Willis did, he has much more burst, again, that is opinion, but the stats are fairly obvious in Ricky's favor.
-
Anyone who has watched any tape of Williams and McGahee or compared the two's stats, OR looked at how much cheaper than McGahee Willliams came, cannot POSSIBLY consider it a bad move. I expect too much from this fan base apparently. Yes we downgraded at TE but are saving big dollars doing so, and used that upgrading FB, which will make up for the blocking loss. WR looks worse right now but we will definitely sign another veteran WR before the season starts.

Kruger is supposedly back to OLB as well, hopefully he finally lives up to expectations. We are absolutely loaded with depth at LB.

Great value signing. Every NFL player smokes pot, I'm really tired of hearing that shit.

http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/blog/2011/08/ravens_to_sign_ricky_williams.html Backup RB situation solved. Good power back who average 4.2 yards a carry last year and his deal MAXES out at $4 Million over 2 years. So he's coming in cheaper than McGahee went to Denver. Big fan of this signing. Ricky is older but he took a couple years off and has been in a time-share so he doesn't have much wear on his body. In fact, read an article where he blasted Sparano and even said he 'didn't have to use an advil' last season. So he's fresh.
-
Leach will more then make up for it. It's also easier for a FB to help in pass protection because they are back a few more yards and can pretty much always get a shot at the guy who's coming in free. Having an extra TE on the line helps, but not to the extent of a FB, at least in my opinion.

Boldin is a better version of Mason, a possession WR. You can't have you're two top WR's be guys that don't run routes past 8 yards and I think last year proved that. I still think we will pick up a veteran WR, hopefully one that offers something different. I do have faith in Smith and Doss, but yes, we do need another vet.
-
Alright for fucks sake everyone I can't take another misspelling. Our starting TE's name is DICKSON. No idea where all this Dickenson shit came from but after about 10 times seeing it spelled that way I had to say something. Sorry about that haha. Mason provided nothing at WR we don't already have. The issue we need to resolve is Right Tackle. Find a starter there and we're fine.

-Clatyon retweeted something from a New Orleans Football guy that said that Kreutz had a better offer from us but went to NO because he knew he could start there. -Taylor can play. Get him the reps all summer and then worry about the veteran backup later.
-
I really don't want to bring Mason back at this point. I would love Randy Moss though. We don't need a possession receiver, but the possibility of a deep threat is worth a shot.
-
I honestly think this guy is just a better version of Landry. I still think Zibby will win the starting job, but we all know Ed is going to miss a few games here and there, so Pollard will be great depth for those games.
-
I really think we're fine at WR and would rather spend the money on a RT, but I like Floyd.
