  1. Really sorry to see him go.
  2. You'd figure there'd be some way to change the game to Wednesday, Friday, or Saturday. I'm now believing this is an NFL issue, not really the Birds or Baseball's fault.
  3. I tell you, Papa, I feel so negative towards Angelos I don't think there's anything he can do to change that opinion.
  4. 11 million - 6 million (assuming he'd take that) = 5 million under. That ain't much.
  5. I want Angelos to just go away. He said he was going to get some players this off-season to keep last year's good feelings running. He did nada. Zilch. And now he wants to screw the Ravens. The thing I've never understood about the Orioles owner is, if he can't afford to spend money to improve the team why doesn't he just sell it? The O's should just move the game to a 12:05 start.
  6. I read that too but I can't imagine us being able to fit him under the cap.
  7. Well, when he came back from the first one he was even better than before. He should be alright.
  8. I don't see a problem. He has a contract with an option and we picked it up. He's certainly proven himself to be worthy of it with his past performance.
  9. Yes! Please, please draft a good LT!
  10. More on this theme by John Eisenberg: http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Eisenberg-Ravenstown-Divided-Into-Two-Camps/8630afda-1481-482d-bd27-565a32e5871a
  11. I read this and since it has one of my all time favorite quotes from Lombardi, I had to post it here. Plus, I felt a little better after reading it: http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Byrne-Identity-What-The-Hell-Is-Going-On-Out-There/00d226d4-703e-4a95-aa87-f0d45bfe628d I disagree with Byrne a bit on Osemele though. I think he may indeed become a Pro Bowl LG but a RT he's not.
  12. Lets get Zibby! And now I do feel better about the Pollard cut. You can't have a guy be that obnoxious on the team and apparently from the article thats how several team members saw him. So goodbye, Bernard! One columnist said he's hard to handle and wears out his welcome and thats why he's been on 3 teams so far and he is only 28. I don't think we should bring Ed back either at this point if Houston is indeed offering him $6 million---they're crazy!
  13. Actually I place a lot of emphasis on entertainment.
  14. No QB can get you there on his own...look at Brees last season. Manning, Brady, and Rodgers made it to the playoffs but couldn't win a championship. A Super Bowl win is extremely hard to do. Those teams have missing parts. So do we. Maybe a lot at the moment. We'll have to see how it plays out. BUT I AGREE THEY'VE GOT TO GET A GOOD, LEGITIMATE LT!
  15. OK, OK. I'll try to take 3 (or 7) deep breaths and wait and see how this looks after the rest of FA and the draft. But I sure feel uncomfortable.
  16. No no no, we needed them to sign Flacco! That was a must. Franchise QBs are too hard to find and you have been drafting way down to get one. I have no problem with what Flacco's getting especially since he kept it cap friendly for 3 years. As for what constitues a 'lost' season...I'll be content if they're just competitve and entertaining and win an occasional SB like they have been doing.
  17. I think I see what Max is saying. Not sure, yet, that I buy it---maybe. Ohrer can't play LT as he has often shown.
  18. Didn't see that game but read about it. His performance was poor as was his Combine speed time.
  19. I think this guy's way overrated.
  20. Yeah, Max, but Pollard was only 28! I think Ozzie needs to do some serious explaining to the media and fans as to what the hell is going on with his mind these days.
  21. 1) Crazy ass move! 2) They now have hardly any D. 3) They gave away their best middle of the field receiver in Boldin. 4) 6-10 is way too optimistic for next year. 5) Crav is right: by the time they replace all of this talent, Joe will be in high cap years of his contract. Is the plan to let him walk at that point? Or will they trade him for a 6th round draft choice???
  22. Hell we just should have outright cut him not sign him to a new contract. Hopefully Oz and Da Costa aren't having some type of breakdowns here.
  23. I don't like it a bit! They had the cap space to keep him and he's been very productive and loyal. I can't name another receiver off the top of my head that can fight for the ball like he does. And what WR receiver do we have now who is tough enough to go over the middle? Looks like a return to out routes only. And what message does it send to the rest of the team? And a 6th round draft choice? Is that the best deal they could get?? I'm gonna miss him!
  24. You know, the media really sucks sometimes!!!
  25. The Ravens don't have a receiver waiting in the wings who's as good as Boldin. He's got 2 more good years left and he's integral to the offense. BUT, I will say they usually know what they're doing---Heap and Mason. But they could be making a real blunder with Q.
