Ranking All 32 Starting NFL Quarterbacks From Worst To Best
oldno82 replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
It is too low. Probably I'd rank him in the upper 20's. IF he develops as an effective passer his rating will soar. But he's got to improve. Can't wait until the preseason games start. Even then the jury will be out until a few games in to the regular season. -

2019-20 season bold predictions: Tight End
oldno82 replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Yeah, I agree with all that. It should be a blast to watch how Roman utilizes those three. I don’t think Lamar will regress at all. -
I'm really pulling for Lamar but I think we do need to go easy on his performance this year. I don't want to see the kid crucified if we don't make the playoffs. 2020 will be the year of decision. Can't wait to see the new offense in action. Should be a very interesting year.

It's true Brian wore out his message here but I do think he should go in the ROH. First Ravens Super Bowl win for the franchise gets him in.
-
No he's not worth it. Goes to show how desperate the D is for pass rushers.

Schmuck writes a good article about Lamar and where the Ravens stand as of now... https://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bs-sp-lamar-jackson-has-a-tough-act-to-follow-20190524-story.html

Three Baltimore Ravens who could disappoint in 2019
oldno82 replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
True, Max and I certainly hope it works out that way! -
I don't think we'll get a good read until the preseason games start especially the one where the regulars play most or half of the game in week 3

Three Baltimore Ravens who could disappoint in 2019
oldno82 replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Yeah, I agree with you Papa about Lamar. I hope I do see progress from him. I think Judon and Onwuasor would be the big disappointments. Most importantly for this year I want to see Lamar progress. If he does that would be great. We wouldn't even have to make the playoffs for me to be happy if he shows progress -
Yep...that's bad.

Yeah, I think these latest pick-ups are just roster filler for the most part. I'm hoping Shane Ray has a comeback year. The rest, meh. BTW is Brown's injury a Lisfranc? If so I'll be surprised if he makes a training camp debut too.
-
It does look like a step back but somebody had to fill those positions. Sure most if not all of them are junk but who else was available?

Looking at our offensive makeover of the team through free agency and the draft along with what Eric DaCosta has said, I'm getting the feeling that the Ravens just might revolutionize the NFL. Lamar, RG, and the third quarterback from Penn State whose name I can't remember are all of the same basic mold. All three are quarterbacks who can run (and, hopefully pass) with speed and agility. They are building a new receiver room with speed. Looks like if you can't run fast you won't be on a Ravens' team. I'm sure hoping for success. Last season was fun until the playoff game. If what we saw happening on the field mimics more like we saw during the regular season, this team will be big news!

It's going to have more to do with Lamar's passing improving more than anything else Very gratifying to hear Lamar is working with a personal passing coach this off-season. Shows a real commitment and leadership.
-
I like the concept a lot but I agree with Papa about Lamar not looking to run so much.
-
If he does hold up and Lamar does too, then the skys the Limit.
-
Good draft considering they had no 2nd round pick Of course we really don't know how it will look a year from now but it seems promising. Really like the pick of the receiver from Notre Dame and the Offensive lineman they drafted too. Still not sure about how Marquise will hold up in the NFL. We'll know more after the preseason starts.
-
Well sounds like it could work but I'm concerned how is he going to make out at 166 lbs in the NFL? I feel similarly about Lamar. Great moves by DeCosta on the trade to get more picks though.
-
The draft is always a crap shoot. I don't believe any of the mock drafts. Teams spread so much fog leading up to it you need a bs detector. I would like to see Ravens get Anthony Brown but there's a ton of good WRs around. I would be happy if they drafted an offfensive lineman. While I know we need a replacement for both Zadarius Smith and Suggs, I think we've got an outstanding secondary and a few good potential young linebackers on the team. Preferably they go O-line, WR, or Edge Rusher. Those are my top 3 priorities, But what the hell do I know??
-
Yup..good stuff! I can't wait for him to announce.

I agree with you on Ford. If he's there at 22 I'd take him and move him to LG.
