They will fill the receiver position in the draft even though it generally takes 2 years for a receiver to develop. It's not like they are 1-2 players away from a Super Bowl. They are not in a "Must Win Now" situation. They are missing too many pieces. 2018 is the year to field something scary. Get younger, faster, stronger. Build a Nasty Defense and they won't have to score 587 points a game. There is nothing worse than getting pushed around.

after a full season we get to review this. it comes full circle. Tyrod did cash in. Good for him but basically he was a Fail for the Bills. A case can be made that Taylor was better than Joe stat wise....but not by much. He had way less yards and 3 less TD's but he also had less INT's and a better QB rating. The Bills had 1 less win than the Ravens. And I will add that basically Joe was a Fail for the Ravens last year.

Guy was solid but the Ravens have players like Urban, Henry and Kaufusi who can fill that void. Keep an eye on Henry....I think he's going to be real solid. That's why the Ravens wouldn't over sped for Guy....but good for Guy. He earned his pay day.

They started the season off strong and now they are basically a no show team for their last 10 games. Northwestern just swept them aside and out of the tournament. Who's going to want to play for them? Or watch them?

All of us probably agree on this... He also mentions that Flacco needs to get better or nothing is going to happen as far as making the playoffs. I think we can all agree on that too. There is a lot of opportunity left for the Ravens to fill holes, find some playmakers, and raise the talent level of this roster from average to above.

Exactly. i'm sure the Ravens try to be pro active in signing players before their final year. In general, nobody's dumb enough to do that in this sick FA market. The agents know the market...the supply and demand. Why sign an extension with a decent pay increase when they can wait a year and get sick money? And that's what Wager got. Probably 40% more than he's worth. I thought he was a good pass protector and average or below run blocker. I read somewhere he was rated the 9th best RT last year....and now he gets #1 money.
