  1. Here's mine... The Ravens are going into the 2010 season weak at RT. The rest of the O is deep and talented. Any team that has to rely on their 3rd string QB to get them to the playoffs is doomed...unless that team is the 2008 Baltimore Ravens. They'll be fine with Flacco and Bulger. I'm comfortable with Mason, Clayton, Bouldin, Smith and Reed at WR. I think Reed is the better WR than Smith but he's got to get over his 'jitters'. He can be a playmaker if he settles down. No standout LB to play alongside Ray, Johnson and Suggs. They all bring one strength to the table and are not complete LB's. Mattison will have to use sub packages to maximize their main strengths until one develops and takes over. Ozzie may have to use an early pick in the 2011 draft to find and develop a replacement for Ray. Currently that man is not on the roster. Cory Redding impressed me but the Ravens still are lacking a playmaking pass rushing DE....they will get pressure and sacks many other ways until they find that man. I have my doubts on Kruger but the guy has heart and dedication...he may develop, but he looks like LB should be his position. As a DE gainst starters I don't think he can make the grade...still to early to tell. I'm surprised they kept Phillips but I hear he's an 'animal'. He has what Zibby and Nakamura have in them so we may see him morph up like those 2 in time. The concerns with the secondary have lessoned for me with the addition of Wilson. Nevertheless this remains a vulnerable area because of health issues. Can Washington stay healthy all year? Can Webb comeback strong and stay healthy also? "IF" they stay healthy then 2011 looks like a respectable group with Foxworth, Wilson, Webb and Washington. Big "IF" though... Special Teams is deep. These guys should be very interesting to watch. They found a way to stash Harewood..he sure didn't look injured Thursday night. Now if they can only develop him. He has a lot to learn but he's got the size, smarts and right attutude. Oh...Ayanbadejo, Stallworth and Reed will be getting back on this roster this season...so it will get deeper.
  2. Maybe... against the pass... but he get's thrown around when teams road grade. He's just not big enough. He's fast but not strong. Talk about sad things...McLain, Ellerbe, Gooden and Barnes all are 1 dimensional too....so this Barnes trade tells me their market value. The Ravenss have been bringing in a ton of talent to develop at LB over the past few years and nobody has emereged. Just like their search for cornerbacks, they are comming up short. Ozzie has brought in a ton of corners since drafting McAlister and Starks and only recently has he had any success there....and then it's been via Free Agency.
  3. They tried to develop Barnes from a 1 dimensional player to a complete LB. They couldn't do it.
  4. Thanks BallT. I'm comfortable with Landry, Zibby and Nakamura. Hamlin worries the shit out of me.
  5. Comming from Mr. Union! There won't be if the owners watched those games. The Players Union can say "Hey! If this is the kind of football you want the public to watch then 'Fine!'...don't pay us. We'll sit. Call us when you want some fans in the seats and TV revenue."
  6. Hey va...yea..the 4th pre season games shouldn't be played. They can get a better look at their players with 2 scrimages in place of that. The best news was no injuries. I'm very disappointed no linebacker distinguished himself above the others. That means we have no solid starter to go with Ray. Gooden seems the most consistant over the last 2 games but he's no head hunter. None of them can cover a TE. I hope one develops and breaks out during the season. Thank Ozzie they got Wilson. Those corners are weak. After Saturdays roster cuts, the Ravens should find a better corner (who was cut elsewhere) than one of the ones they keep....although that's not saying much, but they can "get better". That Ravens O line was stinky.
  7. Want to know what NFL football could look like in 2011? You saw it last night. Replacement football. The Owners surely must be aware of the potential product and don't want that... and as fans...I can't see spending the huge ticket prices to attend home games. A lockout would be a killer.
  8. Cary Williams is trying to work his way off the roster.
  9. The answer is...........NO! Only the Rams could stop him by sitting him. Otherwise he would have thrown for 700 yards and 7 TD's.
  10. We're seeing it right dee...it was as enticing as spending your Labor Day weekend here...
  11. Taunting cleetz...classless...he carried the ball like a loaf of bread, stopped before he crossed the goal line, waited for the Rams to catch up and then extended the ball over the plane of the goal and stepped in. Harbaugh grabbed him by the jersey and was angry as hell...got in his face and gave him a mouthfull.
  12. Not much depth to the O line...they can't create a hole for Palmerlee and Troy Smith is getting slaughtered. The TE (I think it was a TE) was wide open in the corner of the endzone but Smith didn't see him...that would have been 7. Demetrius Williams has his obligatory 1 good game to save his ass and stay on the roster....it happens every year. Nice return Reed!!!!!!! The rest of what I saw in the 1st half was DARK...very dark...like some Edgar Allen Poe scene.
  13. "MAKE SURE YOU NEVER....EVER...COVER THE TIGHT END!!!!!!!!!"
  14. Prince Miller's done. He couldn't cover last week and that muffed punt has him 'Sleeping with the Fishes'.
  15. Ellerbe shows how you can turn an excellent INT and return for a TD into a fucked up play.
  16. The Rams only gained 171 yards and 14 points in the 1st half.
  17. I'm beginning to get some names for my "Sleeps with the Fishes" list.
  18. Travis Fisher plays like dog shit.
  19. Hamlin gives the identical arm-wiff tackle that he did against the Ravens when he was at Dallas...that led to a TD.
  20. They can't cover TE's...they basicaly let them run free.
  21. Against the Pats the Rams had 30 1st downs, 462 yards of offense for 36 points and almost 44 minutes of possesion! The 2nd unit and lower will be playing this game...they have their hands full. GO RAVENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Sure...be mercifull Goodell like he was when flashing those college girls and forcing himself on them. He became sorry when he was caught and his income threatened. I tell you what...when Ben asks for it to be reduced to 3 games, Rodger should do what Ben did...put his fingers to his lips and go "Ssshhhh! It's OK. 6 games. It's OK Ben."
  23. He went 15/22 for 189 yards and 2 TD's for a passer rating of 125.0 against the Patriots last week.
