  1. You can't beat Tom Brady or Peyton Manning without harrassing them all day and the same goes for Carson Palmer, With his receivers and the state of the Ravens secondary he'll win the shootout... and I think it will be a shootout. He cannot be allowed to have the time to hit the intermediate routes. He will definately throw at least 3 bombs looking for the completion or penalty. The Ravens cannot afford to let him have the time to do that. If the Ravens can generate that pressure...and if the secondary plays like they did Sunday...then the Ravens have a decent shot at winning this game.
  2. George should never have accepted the job. He should have learned from what Lerner did to Phil. It was a joke job title. He was never a GM. He didn't pick his head coach. Clearly Lerner was trying to raid the Ravens talent finding pipeline by luring Kokinas and Savage away with phoney job titles. Then you have the back stabbing Mangini...George's "friend"...sinking the knife... Anyway...George is released from hell... to limbo. Sad.
  3. I don't want Marshall in a Ravens uniform for the sole fact that he beats women. The Ravens are going to need some receivers next year (Mason will retire and Clayton is up)....and some cornerbacks. If we start digging we'll find other positional needs. Then there's their own free agents to sign (if there's a new CBA)... so how many guys to you want to wave good bye to for Marshall? Maybe they shouldn't do anything with the secondary.
  4. Absolutely cleetz. If Ernest Byner can be there then there's room for anybody. He carried that offense on his back...he was the offense..week after week he faced 8,9,10 in the box and was a big part of getting to the Super Bowl...the great 2003 season...then...he chose a life of suffering by going to Cleveland...
  5. Yea...it was Goodman on Mason....I was in the opposite endzone and couldn't see the numbers. What was amazing on that play besides the perfect throw was Joe had readf it before the snap and had his mind made up that was the play to make and coverage to beat. He's really maturing fast.
  6. The Ravens haven't needed him and his fat contract all year.
  7. The Browns are a retirement graveyard. Put him in the Ravens Ring of Honor.
  8. Yea I saw that BallT! Hey! The 3 and out is back! Get off the field, give the O the ball and take a rest. Time of Possesion: Denver 26:23. Ravens 33:37. Clayton may be short but damn he can jump!
  9. The coverage was there. Hell...Marshall had only 4 catches for 24 yards. The key was as soon as a Denver receiver caugfht a ball they hit him right away....but the coverage was there. Now...the success was a combination of pressure and coverage. Johnsons sack set the tone and Orton hurried throws when he diddn't have to....because he was getting hammered when releasing the ball. On one play I was amazed his back diodn't break the way he was whipped around. That's a good O line Denver has so the Ravens earned their win.
  10. Here's a few from a ton... Total team win: Offense, Defense and Specialt Teams. Today all units were disciplined and executed. Clasic matchup Mason on Bailey with Derrick getting a half step on him and a TD on a perfectly thrown pass from Flacco. It has to be like that to score on Bailey. Foxworth had a good game. Washington too. Great return by Webb for a TD. I was sure he would be caught but he chose the right angle for the pylon and barely won the foot race. We'll be seeing more from this Raven. Joe Flacco was off in the 1st quarter but he certainly finished very strong...14 for 14 down the stretch. The sacks were coverage sacks. The whole O line was a joy to watch against a very good defensive front. Many looks and blitzs but the line carried out their assignments. The Run blocking could be better but there were a lot of 8 man fronts and at times 9 man once the ball was snapped. Statement Game! The Ravens defeated an unbeaten team with all the pretty stats. Loved how they pummeled a team in the second half,,,a team that only gave up 10 second half points all year. For one day...The D is Back! Mattison selectively rotated players in and out...Webb, Carr, Ellerbe,...Bannon and Edwards played very strong...especially Edwards. He's the real deal guys...the future. "You just made me poop my pants." With about 9 minutes to go the D was on the field and it was second down...the crowd wasn't in loud noise mode. Harbaugh was flashed up on the big screen waving his arms for the crowd to get up and yell. LOL...it took only an instant and the whole stadium was up screaming...it's was like we went "Yes Coach! Sorry we're slacking!" It's like we jumped right up when he said "Jump." Kelly Washington...what can you say? What a great addition. That was a total Blow Job Call... Ray Rice...amazing dude. On one play the O line on the left side formed a wall and was road grading the Bronco line back...problem is it was a wall of Ravens flesh and Rice had no hole to run through...so he pushed his way through between Gaither and somebody elses legs! He was that low to the ground...he squeezed through and splurted out for an 8 yards gain where nothing was there. Only back I've ever seen who can run 3 inches off the ground.
  11. I'm glad you put this up offroadr and I totally agree. I focused on Gaither and Oher today because Denver has that "great blitzing pass rush". Not Today! Both guys played with a nasty street fight attitude. In pass protection they attacked their man. Gaither was punching Dummyville with blows that would break my ribs. Between plays you could see the Denver defensive lineman saying "what's up with you man?" and Gaither and Oher saying "f-you." Very physical line play that bore fruit on that game finishing 4th quarter drive....congrats to the whole line because they kept their focus and discipline against a ton of different looks and blitz's. They went where no team has gone on Denver all year. FYI...Suggs nickname for Gaither is '6 10'.
  12. I.m getting ready to go and I'm really looking forward to this game. It's a great matchup and I have this feeling the Ravens will show up today (meaning...win). Joe Cool wil be a big factor in this game...he has to be for a Ravens victory. Definately a statement game when you go against a 6-0 team. All the Denver stats point to shutting down the Ravens. The Ravens defensive stats say they will find a way to lose. So logic is not a factor in my feeling the Ravens will win. Me not being logical???...imagine that! No...it's just that there is too much talent and pride on this Ravens team and I think it will show today.

  14. Certainly starting strong is important but nobody has been able to finish strong against the Bronco D and the Ravens have to do that Sunday. Ravens win if they can physically pound the ball in the 1st half even if it's a low scoring affair....hell, loose 'Bring the Pain' McLain. That will give them many options for the second half. Ultimately, I think the offense will have to beat them by throwing the ball. Rice will prosper through receiving touches snd Washington should have a big game....Heap too. Touches to the playmakers is the key.
  15. I thought ratings drove the league. After 5 prime time snoozers last year you'd think they'd stop force feeding them to America.
  16. I don't think they can pull it off...it requires intelligence and co-ordination.
  17. The Ravens win a close one unless we see the usual 'Obligatory Defensive Game Losing Penalty.' Special Teams better show up Sunday.
  18. Thanks for putting up the article...I really enjoyed it. Joe is special and last year was no fluke. It's way too early in his career but he has some Johnny U in him for sure. I say that as a compliment and character comparison...not that I want him to be another Johnny U. I've seen Johnny...I want him to be Joe Flacco. I want to see what Joe Flacco can become.

    MNF Comedy

Redskins are comedy at it's finest. 17-0 Eagles. The Eagles just picked up Witherspoon at LB and so far tonight he has an INT for a TD and stripped Can'tball of the ball for a recovered fumble.
  20. We weren't the only ones who saw some bukkshit...
