  1. We have the same number of trophies in the last 15 yrs as they have. Oz got his first and he has the most recent with 5 straight play off appearances in a row kicked in, 6 of 7. Granted, Piss just got luckier with their receivers but we still have the same number of trophies and all those playoff w/o a blue chip receiver. Oz would have at least two more had he drafted the guys I begged him to - Roddy White instead of Mark Clayton and Hakeem Nicks instead of Michael Oher. Nicks was the go to guy in their big SB victory while DeCosta told me he wasn't as good a player as Oher.
  2. Ditto that on the spring but I was watching the Squeelers game last night with friends at the bar and it was good football, better than what the Ravens played. Winning like that means we're still in the toughest division unlike Papa's NE and Dolts and others. Also, Denver will blow another SB vs NE this time and Manning still can't throw in the freezing rain.
  3. We'll get a good CB, pass rusher, QB, or LT in draft. Titans get #1 pick. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/nfl-draft-scout/25414166/nfl-draft-updated-draft-order-has-the-titans-with-the-no-1-pick
  4. They were trying to say this is Pittsburgh Country but they were laughing at it too and weren't interested. Pathetic.
  5. I just got in from talking to a couple of brave souls that were at the game. They said it was so quiet you could hear the conversations from 4 rows down. LOL Fans are calling for the same thing next year. I just don't believe that. Not now.
  6. That's for damn sure. I remember Billick being miked on the side line and he's giving Chris an ear ful of expletitives during one of his first pre-season games. Thanks Phil. tongue in cheek.
  7. Maybe practice squad - maybe. He threw a 40 yd td on last play of first half. He threw long ball in first qtr to tie the game up @ 7-7. Then they scored when Allen fumbled, guy picked up ball and ran it in. Those were about our highlight. All the bars were empty today. Just our hard core fans watching or machochists. I love the pickles though.
  8. Is Maxx concussed again? Sure looked like it shacking his head from getting his bell rung. When I see Clausen, I just think of Clausen pickles. Ummmm,, goood.
  9. All we kept hearing was the Redman was the next Unitas after breaking his records at his school. Even Unitas met and pimped him big time. Ravens only consideration for Brady came from their Michigan scout and fell on deaf ears. Even Bellicheat was wrong not taking Brady earlier in the draft. He got him by default but once he found him and knew what he had. He lucked out with Brady being there at the end of the draft. Redman became a journeyman backup ala Earl Morrall but not even as good as him.
  10. Brucie Cunningham took a call and the question was how did Ravens get here. He didnt know of course but said it was a good question and Ravens will have to ask themselves during their winter meetings in Jupiter, Florida the week after the SB. Cunningham said almost every position has to be looked at and that Ozzie is up to the challenge of rebuilding the team. He's not ready to retire and want to go out with another ring. The last time he was in this situation with this high of draft picks he won the SB trophy in 3 years drafting the first Raven ever - JO. Had Ozzie drafted Brady instead of the qb they did, he'd have at least 2 more SB rings, like Bellicheat. Bellicheat knows full well that when he's inducted into the HOF it will be because of Brady. That stupid Savage spent all his time in Louisville instead of Michigan as their Michigan scout was pissed off for not taking Brady. He told them so.
  11. The injuries are his big problems. He's had them since high school, always getting nicked up or whatever thru college and now pros. It continues thru his first two years in pros. No injuries and Campy is a monster WR.
  12. Yea, but he had 12 sacks last year. He should have had at least half that if he stayed healthy, I'm just guessing and he should get it next year if he returns.
  13. Here's his stats with 20 tackles and 1 sack. Det also payed him $16M. Ravens still had a cap hit of $8M but Oz definitely made the right move. http://www.nfl.com/players/search?category=name&filter=ngata&playerType=current
  14. Yea, we definitely missed Suggs and Ngata early on with those narrow losses. That said, Ngata did't do much in Detroit either. Started the season on injured reserve there. Bad move by Detroit and Ozzie got Maxx and Z. Smith from them in the trade. Maxx has 1 TD as a TE and Z has 1 sack.
  15. THE KING OF THE PLAYOFFS Ravens made the POs for 5 straight years during that time, more than Piss and Joe has more playoff wins than Big Jen. Since 08, Joe has more PO wins than anyone included Brady and Manning combined. Just Last Feb he almost beat NE in Foxboro but a banged up secondary gave up 2 2d half leads to the best QB in the game who did some cheating of his own and some trickery and bending of the rules by Bellecheat. That was our SB. http://www.wsj.com/articles/joe-flacco-is-the-king-of-the-nfl-playoffs-1420414837
  16. I have noticed that the Ravens have spent close to the ceiling every year and usually make the playoffs every year. Not this year due to injuries, not a lack of talent on paper. I have noticed they have been the most dominant team this side of NE for the past 15 years with 2 SB trophies and a bunch of division and AFC trophies. Most teams and their fans will kill for all their trophies in just 15 years. Look at Denver and Dallas and Skins, 3 glory teams that haven't won SB since the 90s and non-glory teams like SD, Bengals, Cards, Minn, Atlanta, Carolina, Jags and Bills that never won the SB. Dallas hasn't even been to SB since 90s and are really really bad once again this year because of Jerry.
  17. McShay's early mock has Paxton going to Clowns with the 2d pick. Bosa will be the first player drafted. He has another QB named Goff going to #5 team. Ravens are about #6 on his mock.
  18. You keep pulling shit out of your ass. Ravens can't keep their books straight??/
  19. They didn't have the salary cap under the old Baltimore Colts teams back in the 80s when they left.
  20. Neither would Unitas. Even he had the best weapons - your own Ray Berry, Jimmy Orr, Lenny Moore, Willie Richardson, Jim Mutchler, etc, etc, etc.
  21. Yea, and Ray had to settle on civil suits too giving two families $1M each, I think it was to bring closure. Ray still had money though and signed another big contract for $50M or so. He just went from a stretch limo to a limo after the criminal trial-lol. I question the Rice statement in the article. Lawyers are expensive but it shouldn't have taken all his money. Even a DUI is gonna cost you close to $10,000 for a lawyer in this state.
  22. You're right but get this. Ravens have a QB controversy-lol. They liked what they saw from Clausen so we'll see more of him. ____________________________________________ The Ravens like what they saw from Jimmy Clausen, according to Fox Sports, and it may have earned him some playing time in the coming weeks. Look out world! The Ravens have a short-term quarterback controversy on their hands for the first time since 2008. Ah, the memories.
  23. For our resident troll, here's a list of the best GMs in the game and once again same as last year and the year before that and the year before that it's #1 Bellicheat #2 Ozzie Newsome with the caption that he let McPhee and Torrey Smith go to sign questionable contracts with the new teams. http://www.rotoworld.com/articles/nfl/53473/57/nfls-best-gms-2015
  24. Here's an interesting article about how some big name athletes fell on hard times and lost it all after leaving the game. In Ray Rice's case, he's broke after spending most of his money on legal fees after striking his wife but the good part is, she is still with him. Didn't he sign a big contract? Remember TO? No one will feel sorry for that bum. He fell on hard times after leaving the game and owed IRS over $400,000 and failed to pay child support and is broke. Here's a list of recent NFL players that went from millionaires to broke. http://www.idistracted.net/20-nfl-players-who-lost-it-all/2/?v=p
  25. LOL - Ravens would still be losing if Tyrod were here. There's nobody at the skilled positions on offense, nobody and a deleted secondary on defense. Tyrod might have scored more points vs Seattle but not much more than Clausen.
