  1. Walter football rates Terp OLB as 5th best pass rusher off the edge in the upcoming draft. He also played well vs this year's top guys that will be drafted high. Yannick owned 2015's #5 draft pick who went to the Skins in this year's draft. He should be there. Bosa is the best pass rusher but he was suspended for a game for breaking team rules but that won't matter. The Georgia and MIchigan State guys look pretty good. They could be there by Ravens turn. Clowns own top pick in draft if it were now with just 2 wins (just like in the movie-lol), 4 teams have 3 wins 4 teams have 4 wins That puts us in top 9 and maybe a little higher if we keep losing, a little lower if we win a couple but we'll get one of these pass rushers in this draft if Ozzie wants one. http://walterfootball.com/draft2016OLB3-4.php
  2. Yea, everyone likes going to the playoffs every year or almost every year but Ravens have never had a bad season like this year. On the bright side as I keep saying, only 4 wins keeps us closer to getting one of the top pass rushers or top CBs in game and we're back in POs next year. Some fans act like it's their God given right to go to the POs every year. How do you think the Boys fans feel with just 3 wins and they don't make it into the POs as much as us and haven't been to the SB since 96. As it stands now, Cleve has the top pick in the draft with only 2 wins. Three teams have 3 wins. Four teams have 4 wins with us. So we're still within the top 8 picks for the top CB or pass rusher.
  3. Great posts and info.
  4. That's chump change according to baseball teams. Yankees spent over $200M on payroll only to watch the playoff games while Houston Astros snuck in as wild card spending only $69M. Dodgers spent the most @ $273M with their immense cable market but the owner still doesn't have a ring although he made the playoffs. Nice to see the small markets win the series like KC on smarts $112M instead of money. O's spent $118M just like an NFL team. No wonder they never win. We don't have KC's smarts who beat us last year in POs and KC went to the big dance this year. The New York Yankees of the AL have played in 40 of the 111 Series through 2015 and have won 27 World Series championships, the most Series . http://blog.surepayroll.com/2015-mlb-team-payrolls/
  5. Aiken stepped up Monday night with 80 yards receiving. Trestman did a great job designing some routes that fit his style instead of the other way around. So the Ravens were flexible and it paid off. Butler did OK too and Ravens have high hopes. Also, Ryen Jensen has played well filling in for KO. Jensen fell in the draft because of a broken foot. Ravens took him at the bottom. Then he battled Wagner for RT after Oher left but promptly fell behind. He was listed as #1 back up for all the line positions but started last year on the practice squad. He was supposed to be pretty good but no one knew what happened. He went backward. Prob was, he had sleep apnea. Coaches didn't like it when he fell asleep during team meetings and during practice but he didn't have enough oxygen. They got him examined and \ gave him a bi pap machine to sleep with so he'd have oxygen at night. It's all related to weight and Ryan's weight went up. On the practice squad he started to get it down and made the team this year as a top backup with Urschel. His weight is under control and the machine is helping him so he isn't sleeping during the day. I had the same problem and sleep with a machine. We were flying out to the playoff game in Indy several years and and we're half way there and I said shit man, I forgot my bi pap. My friend said how are you going to sleep. I said I'm not sleeping at all. I was afraid to w/o it so I sat in a chair Sat and Sun nights. We left on Mon and I made it. It's a little awkward during sex because the hose gets in the way. That's one of the probs but my partner was a pre med major and knows all about it and is patient. She loves the machine because I can't snore any more.
  6. Schaub and HARBs like him. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Jeremy-Butler-Carving-Out-Role-In-Offense/7990f8b4-ee8c-4059-87aa-4e0fcf4ccf3a
  7. He developed Aiken who had 80 yards Monday night.
  8. This list is bull shit and came out after week 6 listing GBs as worst injured team. They have less players hurt than Ravens but they've missed more games than Ravens. That's bull shit. I go by the number of players. Ravens have 2 more injured players than Squeelers but they have more missed games. This list was made before Joe and Forsett went down but they go according to most games missed. That's bull shit. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/page/32for32x151021/ranking-most-banged-nfl-teams-1-32
  9. The newest guy on the team just signed 2 weeks ago after Ross was cut. He dropped 2 punts in a row, one going for a TD for the opposition and was cut. ENTER Clay who scored a TD Monday night on his 4th NFL return. He was All American at Utah but was famous or infamous at Utah when he dropped the all on the 1 yrd line as he was about the score on a long return. Oregon picked ball up and ran the length of the field for winning TD. Clay made ESPN's 10 biggest blunders that year but made up for it tonight. Ozzie signed West just 2 weeks ago and Clay and both greatly contributed vs Clowns. Ya gotta hand it for Ozzie for finding these guys at the bottom of the barrel. Hell, they weren't even in the barrel. They were out on the street looking for jobs, same as Melvin last year whom he signed a week before the wild card game and we beat Squeelers with him but they he was trashed by best QB in game but it took a lot of cheating, trickerly and bending of the rules to beat him in NE after blowing a 2 TD lead - twice, in Foxboro and in February with Melvin. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Who-Is-Kaelin-Clay/60a0e698-7db8-4fbf-a334-d799cd12683b
  10. Yup, They're definitely the nucleas to build around. I posted a link last week where someone called Brian Williams and Donald who broke Forsett's arm just hitting it as two of the best pocket rushers in the game. Donald beat out Mosley for DROY by just 7 votes. CJ did better with more tackles but Donald had 9 sacks and that's all. But don't forget about Mosley too.
  11. Urban is a beast and won the game with a blocked FG and they scored at the buzzer when Will Hill picked the ball up and scored. Yea, no use now crying to where we draft. It is what it is.
  12. He won the game blocking a FG attempt and Will Hill picked the ball up and ran it in as the buzzer sounded. Urban is a beast and will be great if he can stay healthy. I thought he was out for the year?
  13. And how often does that happen that high? Not very. Wasn't that the one to the Skins for RG3 and he got Shannaham fired or was that to Indy.
  14. Ravens were down to their 3rd and 4th RBs after their #1 and #2 guys were out and they done good. Terrance West was just picked up after being drafted and released by Clowns and had over 30 yards while Allen had around 80. Both caught the ball. Schaub did much better than he's done in years spraying the ball around to his backs and TEs on short passes but hit a couple of long ones. Aiken had a big night for 80 yds receiving. Special teams won it at the buzzer with a block kick for 6 pts. Tucker made his FGs. Great night for the most battered team in football. On the down side they just lost the 2d spot in the draft and Bosa, the best pass rusher in the draft.
  15. Damn, can't even lose to the Clowns in Cleveland when we're bad. Trading down is exactly Ozzie's style when he's drafting near the bottom. It's usually because everyone is off the board by his low pick so he trades down and gets more bodies. Trading down from a top 6 pick is unlikely because he would be an immediate impact pick unlike Kruger the Beast was or Dan the Nimble Cody were in the 2d round and a ton of others.
  16. Ravens would be in 4-way tie for 2d pick in the draft. As it stands now we draft #6 according to the link below. By losing, we'd get the best pass rusher like Bosa or the best CB. There are 2 of each. We would probably miss at the 6th spot. Bosa would put us right back into the playoffs next year. See the Mike Preston thread. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Late-For-Work-1130-Ravens-And-Browns-Battling-For-No-1-Draft-Pick/67c445c9-fd7a-4dcf-acf3-368ea5440870
  17. As it stands now, we would be drafting # 6. Whoever loses this game will be in a 4 way tie for the 2d spot in the draft and would get either the best pass rusher or CB in the draft, whatever Ozzie wants. Here's to us losing tonight but it would be just like Schaub to win it.
  18. Not if it's starbacks coffee. You'll need a lot more than a buck. LOL A buck won't even get you a coffee and a doughnut today.
  19. According to HARBs. Yea, well, save it for the game Jack. I'll believe it when I see it. Expect a lot of play action which Schaub ran a lot of in Houston under Kubes. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Matt-Schaub-Has-Really-Good-Week-Of-Practice/d51adcb8-5c57-4757-818c-c5cfeafafffc
  20. Good point but Forsett is old and injured. Not sure we can count on him next year. Ravens will likely draft another back and/or sign a veteran RB. Maybe.
  21. Pettine was a coach here for several years and had head coach written all over him. His father was a coach and taught him everything. He was about 2d on the depth chart behind Pees for D-Coord for when Mattison was here. He moved on to bigger and better things and is improving the Clowns who beat us in OT earlier with about 80% of the Ravens injured. He has some nice things to say about Schaub but not so nice about Terrance West but Pettitne is one mean looking mutha - just like a football player or um coach should be like, not like the ever smiling little Johnny boy-lol. That said, I guess Pettine missed all those picks Schaub threw in pre-season and before he got here like last year but he's a good coach and not falling into a false security trap. He said Ravens are lucky to have Schaub because they don't have to dumb down the offense like Squeelers did Vick when Big Jen went down. Schaub ran a pro offense for years at a high level so they don't expect a big drop off in quality and are preparing like they would for Flacco not a has been QB. He let WEst go because of maturity and work ethic issues. His skill set is there but other important stuff needed are not. He can be a good back if he matures and improves his work ethics. Sounds like another Gaither to me. Remember him? LOL http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/What-The-Browns-Are-Saying-About-The-Ravens/a19fc7e8-766e-4e81-9331-3185b407a208
  22. LOL - I'm sure SF fans would trade being on that list for our SB 47 trophy. And Skins fans have had the worst teams in the 21st Century. They can keep the list. We have 2 trophies and a dominant team during that time
  23. I saw the previews and it's not pretty as brief as they are. You can google the trailer. What is Gifford News and CTE? Is that Frank Gifford?
  24. HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE Hope yoos all had a good one. Most of our family was out of town so it was just my sis, 90-yr old mom and yours truly at the Main Street Tower in Bel Air, MD for a great dinner today. A lot of people were in there. It beat the hell out of a hundred dollar bill. I had a buck left but oh well. A great time by all.
