rastaman831226
Great assessment of Flacco contract in Bleacher Report article entititled Cutler's Contract And 5 Others Like It. There's absolutely no doubt that this contract will break this organization. A good read.

Spen
The idiot referenced an article and didn't link it and attributed it to the wrong site. Pretty stupid. Sadly its not much stupider than most of his posts. Here it is:http://m.espn.go.com/general/blogs/blogpost?blogname=nflnation&id=149522&src=desktop&rand=ref~%7B"ref"%3A"https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F"%7D
papasmurfbell
Flacco3. Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco Full deal: Six years, $120.6 million through 2018 Relevant terms: Flacco's cap figures are reasonable in 2014 ($14.8 million) and 2015 ($14.55 million), but then jump dramatically in 2016 ($28.55 million) and thereafter. Analysis: In reality, Flacco leveraged the Ravens' Super Bowl victory in 2013 into what likely will be two paydays in a three- or four-year period. It's conceivable that the Ravens could carry a $28.55 million cap number in 2016, but it's more likely they'll need to extend his deal again either at that point or certainly by 2017, when his cap charge will be $31.5 million. Here's the catch: If the Ravens wanted to cut Flacco in 2016, he would consume $25.85 million in dead money against their cap that season. The end result is that to maintain cap health, the Ravens likely can't cut Flacco in 2016 or sit on his current deal. They'll have to give Flacco more upfront money -- and possibly an overall raise as well -- whether or not his play merits it. WOW. They could June 1st cut him and make it a little palatable. rastaman831226
ESPN article posted on Baltimore Ravens section of Bleacher Report. The article goes on to say, much as with Cutler, Suh, Calvin Johnson, Romo, and Larry Fitzgerald, we're stuck with a slack butt who cannot live up to his big dollat contract. papasmurfbell
It is similar to the article I posted about QB's who shouldn't get the money getting it anyways.

papasmurfbell
Sounds like a fundamentalist. Telling yourself what deep down you know isn't real to justify your belief.

vmax
Joe should be working out with his receivers during this bye week on a high school field somewhere.instead he's out spending his money.

If the Ravens don't make the playoffs then this will be why.I told you they should have signed Sanchez when he was on the cheap..........then they would have won it all. dc.
The implication of early posts here was that this article says Flacco's contact is bad. It does not and that's not even the earlier thesis if the article. The article is about contacts that will influence future personnel decisions heavily. Does Joe's for that bill? Of course. But not sure what the news is here. Meanwhile, if this continues to devolve into some crap about avatars, in going to close it. Grow up, both of you. GrubberRaven
Plus...it's been widely understood when Joe signed his contract, it would be restructured. No one can see into the future.
