And you have to play like you want to be there.

Didn't see that last week from the Ravens against the Jags and definitely not this week.

Max, Unfortunately. this team just doesn't have the substance, character, "it" to be a playoff team.

The secondary today against a 3rd /4th string QB was atrocious and the offense was lost.

Amazingly, we eke out 9, maybe 10 wins, but its not a legit playoff team. Not until we get the secondary fixed and the offense get some consistency.

The boys have some work to do - have a good draft, acquire a few FA's, get the damn secondary FIXED !

Lets face it there a one and done team if they get in the playoffs. There earning, earning alot of money there number one priority. Its time to end the Flacco experiment as we did Boller turns out neither would or will be great. Take the salary hit and do what you can and move on. The worst part as a fan is not having confidence in the team every game. But instead hoping for a luck out win. Flacco is an average QB at best hoping or saying he's better then that won't change that fact.

The Pats just eeked out a win,

The playoffs are nothing but average teams. They all have flaws and are beatable.....by NFL design.

Whoever gets hot and wants the Super Bowl can grab it.

Any team.

That's what hurts the most. This Ravens team does not have the guts, hunger or attitude to go for it.

Why don't they Max ? Is it Harbs ? He was giving out game balls to our D aftet squeaking out last weeks win against Jax. He should have been pissed and realize he had seen enough of that crap.

Is it lack of leaders, on and off the field ?

Is it lack of offensive weapons, playmakers ?

What do you think ?

Leadership is a big part of it. They are not hungry.

Nobody is stepping up and making the play.

No playmakers...especially when the QB tanks.

They need players who can keep their team mates focused, hungry, in position and accountable during the game.

Definitely on offense.

They got bullied today.

Yep. Big time. A strong leader would have prepared the team and not gotten punched in the mouth, especially knowing the opposition was being led by a weak sister at QB.

Leaders find ways to "will" their teams to victory.

We don't have them on this team, not right now.

They sure did and I don't know when was the last time I've seen the Ravens beaten so badly physically.

Remember when Steve B said Baltimore will come to understand and appreciate Flacco's demanor? I wonder if he still feels that way. QB needs to be your leader on offense - if he's not there is a problem.

Something is going on behnd the scenes, maybe Harbs is going after Michigan, maybe Kubs is looking for a head coaching job, maybe there is turmoil amongst the players. Who knows, but somehting is up for a team to be flat two straight games against sub par teams.

I expected, going into the season, a 6 win team and the past two weeks they played like for sure. However, they surprised me this year, even if they played above their collective abilities, there is no logical reason for the past 2.5 games if we cound the 2nd half against the Chargers, well, the last 5 minutes of that game to be more specific.

As I said to Crav on FaceBook, the team seems to have lost steam, lost their legs, to be tired, out of shape. No push from the offensive line, that was a strong suit this year. No speration from from the recievers, ok, that is normal......... But even Smith Sr who was getting good seperation, clearly is feeling his age.

Seems to me the new practice rules, now in year two, are having a major affect on many teams, the Ravens, being one of them. They are flat out, out of gas.

The defense seemed to have spent their energy last week, there was no pass rush, the line backers were steps behind most every play. At least the front four did well, take out that end of the game long run and they gave up what, 30 yards on 24 carries, that is awesome.

Flacco had an Aaron Rogers day, the Rogers of last week against the Bills........ I am not sure what was up with him. I know he got hit on most every play, but he has taken that before and burned teams. This was not the norm for sure.

So again, something is up, internally and it showed on the field and even in Smith Sr's reaction to some of us fat, lazy couch potatoes............

Kubiak's O got schooled by D's that know his system.

Two of Joe's 3 INTs weren't to be blamed on him.

Forsett is who we thought he was.

We have no stud receivers...none.

I can go on...

Smith Sr is good for a sound bite.

Flacco is not cool as shown by his repeated overthrown balls, but getting pounded into the turf will do that to anyone.

Honestly...I'm glad our D did well...they did in the bigger picture.

Yesterday's game broke me. You are right. They are not a playoff team. Not this year.

Yep. And the sky's not falling either. It's remarkable we won 9 games this year. Given the

Rice débâcle, losses of Smith, Pitta and others, and the absence offensive playmakers, this team has truly overachieved. Had it not been for an easy schedule, this is a 7-9 team.

On Black monday, this team and the FO needs to look at itself in the mirror and begin to formulate a plan for becoming a relevant franchise. If they ignore or in denial, this team will continue to flounder and remain 7-9 team for the foreseeable.

Agree with that, varaven45. The team desperately needs several playmakers; some on Offense and some in the secondary. I think the OL and DL look gassed as tsylvester said. Lack of practices is probably responsible for many of the injuries in the NFL right now. It's a long season and I think teams need to run more practices in camp and during the week.

Inconsistency of pass rush is mystifying. One week they're hot, then a week or two later it disappears.

The Texans said they watched a lot film about the Ravens where the team is vulnerable to a pass rush up the middle. I don't know if that falls on Zuttah or not but we need to be more stout in the middle of the Offensive line. That's another reason why this team finds it so hard to get a 3rd and 1 for a first down by running it up the gut.
