papasmurfbell
The OC made the single dumbest play call in SB history.

varaven45
Well ....that's 2 teams - us and the Seadogs - that handed game over to Pats in final minute.

Robjr83
I was thinking QB sneak, not a damn inside slant. I bet Lynch is pissed, I wonder if he'll give one word answers to the media.
papasmurfbell
He wont say anything and will be on his way out of town.
varaven45
Maybe in route to Bmore as next RB ? Nah, but he would be awesome in the Raven backfield .

Robjr83
To exp and he is a RB and his shelf life is about over. He'll be 29 in April. My guess is his asking price will be around 6mil. I agree don't chase him.

vmax
I had a house full of friends and everybody was shocked.1 yard line, Lynch...game over right?Stupidest play call in SB history. Hats off to Butler. The rookie did his homework and his head was in the game.
RavenMad
I had a house full of friends and everybody was shocked.1 yard line, Lynch...game over right?Stupidest play call in SB history. Hats off to Butler. The rookie did his homework and his head was in the game. Definitely. Even if they failed to get in with Lynch on 2nd down, they could have called a timeout and then run a pass play (maybe a Play Action bootleg and give Wilson the option of the pass or using his legs to run it in). If they failed to get in on 3rd down they would have still had time to run a 4th down run play to Lynch again. You got to trust your beast RB in those situations. So many plays would have worked/looked better in that situation than a shotgun slant on the 1.
cravnravn
They had 2 running threats in Wilson & Lynch, yet someone called a slant from the 1 in a crowded field? Probably the worst call in all of football. With the championship on the line. Whomever made the call should be fired, Lord I hope it rains like hell on Tammy today in Florida. papasmurfbell
I would have gone read option. That way you can have it be Lynch or Wilson on the same play. I figure NE was looking for it up the midle. Wilson could have made the edge.

Wilson could have made the edge. Yeah I was thinking that too when I saw the passing formation. There's no way I'd be putting that ball in the air, too many variables like the cb jumping the route, or a tipped pass. Maybe if it was Brady I'd trust him with doing that. The OC definitely got cute and it cost them.
TAPLOOK
Well ....that's 2 teams - us and the Seadogs - that handed game over to Pats in final minute. Did the Patriots hand the game over two the Giants in 07 and 11? Just curious to see if this works both ways? You might want to watch the Ravens/Patriots game again. It's on NFL rewind tonight.
