tsylvester Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Yes thanks for sure. His kick off average, as are the entire league's, are a bit off now that they count the depth in the end zone. His mistakes in judgment when to come out & when to down the ball hurt the team this year and he never learned how to run a route.
OneManCypher Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Jacoby was my SuperBowl MVP, thanks for the Mile High Miracle, and your 2 superbowl TD's , and all of the returns and the dances, you're a character and entertainer, i was always waiting to see what your next dance would be, Good Luck!
vmax Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 I knew this was coming but damn...I'm depressed.Just flat out loved the guy.as a fan who sitis in the end zone you could feel his energy and attitude as he paced back and forth before a kick off. He's a key impact player who Ozzie brought in and the acquisition paid huge dividends. "We don't win Super Bowl XLVII without Jacoby," general manager Ozzie Newsome said. "You immediately think of the touchdown against Denver in the divisional round and then the big plays in that Super Bowl -- the long touchdown from Joe [Flacco] and the kickoff to open the second half. He also had a big punt return in that game. Jacoby was an outstanding Raven, good teammate on and off the field." When Ozzie signed him after Houston gave up on him who would have known that he was going to be the one extra piece to a Super Bowl Trophy in Baltimore.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_W6cWjyR3Y&feature=player_embedded
cravnravn Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Wow I'd rather keep Jacoby and release Torrey
oldno82 Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Yup, it's sad. I'm down about it too.But that's the game when you play with a cap. Plus he had so many drops this past year. Never forget that catch in Denver though.
GrubberRaven Posted February 25, 2015 Author Posted February 25, 2015 4 fumbles/two lost...150+ yards...thanks, but we have better options.
OutsideRzAcE Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 I will really miss Jacoby. With Torrey possibly on his way out I thought we would keep him as another deep threat option. He had a bad year as a receiver but that could have been an aberration. With the other young recievers we have I guess I can't fault the Ravens for this move. I will always remember the plays he made in that SB run and the great humility he showed after getting passed up for the SB MVP.
Tornado700 Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Anybody think another team snatches him up? Pittsburgh perhaps?
varaven45 Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Pittsburgh ? Hmm; I guess Tomlin would keep his foot on the sideline eh ?
OutsideRzAcE Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Anybody think another team snatches him up? Pittsburgh perhaps? I think there is no doubt he plays next year. He is still one of the more dynamic returners in the league.
