tsylvester Posted September 29, 2015 Author Posted September 29, 2015 Who can be hired as DC at this time of the year and have an effective, if not immediate difference? Brooks has long been a name mentioned as a defensive coordinator. He knows his stuff, the players love him and proof of his ability to teach is in all the different defensive lineman he turns into solid players; mostly undrafted players too boot. Quote
Money Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 The game has passed Pees by...much like with Cam Cameron. Quote
52isUnstoppable Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 I've seen Jim Schwartz name tossed around. Mount Saint Joe grad. H.C. experience. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Would he get along with Harbaugh? Quote
tsylvester Posted September 29, 2015 Author Posted September 29, 2015 Would he get along with Harbaugh? Good question, he is quite head strong, and didn't get a lng with others too well, well, he gets along with Nestor, that should say a bunch.... Quote
tsylvester Posted October 11, 2015 Author Posted October 11, 2015 Franchise record for the Browns passing game, yes players have to play, but coaches have to teach..... Fire Pees tonight, let Brooks take over... Another 4th quarter lead, double digit lead, blown.... Horrible secondary players and you call all out blitzes?????????????? Fire Tressman tonight, no imagination in the passing game; none. No use of the tight ends except on a drag route along the line of scrimmage or one out route? Really? I know, they scored 30 points, in spite of, not because of the play calling. Ozzie, retire, your draft picks, personnel decisions were on full display today; full of failure. A microcosm of the season, of the past drafts. Quote

tsylvester Posted October 11, 2015 Author Posted October 11, 2015 Shoulda resigned torrey smith He can't get off a jam either. Shoot, the few times they used Givens (faster than Torrey) he got deep but Joe had no time to get him the ball. The one time he threw to him, it was under thrown because Flacco could not step into it.... Quote
dapetes Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Signing Torrey and signing wayne makes no difference as long as the defense can stop no one. Front office decisions to sign second and third tier players to high long term contracts have tied a cinder block to the ravens franchise. Until those contracts are eaten or over, This team is screwed for the duration. Quote
dapetes Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 I love the Ravens. Not the front office. I call it like I see it. 1 Quote
dc. Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Sometimes, I see this thread to and think of that bumper sticker; imagine whirled peas. Quote
tsylvester Posted October 11, 2015 Author Posted October 11, 2015 2 pt conversion, where space is tight, and Tressman calls a screen pass, not a wide receiver screen, mind you, but an actual screen pass; fail..... Kick the extra point the Ravens win...... Quote
RavenMad Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Dean is in over his head. Ever think we are inconcistent because you suck as a coach Dean? We have been on a steady decline since Dean took over. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/videos/videos/Full_Presser_Dean_Pees_On_Defensive_Inconcistency/c0103661-9f9b-462a-a955-c7e2566b6a7b Quote
oldno82 Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 There's been no fire in the defense since Pagano left. 'Play Like a Raven' is now an empty phrase on D. Quote

Hell, they almost cost us a SB, but no-one really thinks of it that way since we won. Quote
tsylvester Posted October 19, 2015 Author Posted October 19, 2015 Smith caught two passes, the passes he caught, one of them a bomb for a touchdown, where the only times he was not challanged at the line of scrimmage. Every other time, he was not able to get open...... So either the db didnt follow the direction of Pees, or Pees didn't tell him to press cover Smith..... Just more proof. Maybe they are just waiting to see if Pagano becomes available.... Quote
cravnravn Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Hope Pags changes his mind then, he said Indy would be his last stop on the coaching carousel. Not is well with him in Indy, he does not get along with their GM. Quote
OutsideRzAcE Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 There will be others besides Pagano. The Ravens should fire Pees at the bye to see what they have internally and then take the best candidate this offseason. Quote

The Ravens should fire Pees at the bye to see what they have internally and then take the best candidate this offseason. I really think Brooks should get a shot. The defensive line has always been strong, he gets the most out of every player they give him. I know Suggs and Lewis were pushing for him to get the job a few years ago, the players love him. I think he would much better than Pees... Quote
varaven45 Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Yes, make the change at the bye. That way we get a half a season to test the next experiment since this one has failed miserably. Quote
tsylvester Posted October 19, 2015 Author Posted October 19, 2015 Yes, make the change at the bye. That way we get a half a season to test the next experiment since this one has failed miserably. I agree, the proof of Pees' failure is in the pudding of a defense this team has feilded since he arrived. He took over in 2012, the defense ranked 12th in the league, 21 pts per game, up 5 pts per game from the previous year (16 pts per game),,,,, 2013- 22 pts per game (12th), 2014 18 pts per game a dip, and aberation, this year, 27 pts per game 27th in the league on pace to be the worst in franchise history, and that is saying something given the 1996-98 seasons..... varaven45 Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Agreed. Im ready to text Biscotti and tell him to put on his to do list for the bye week. Quote
OutsideRzAcE Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Well, the bye week is here. Did peas save himself by slowing the leagues top offense? Quote
