CINCINNATI -- On the day Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson delivered the longest touchdown run of his career, he joined elite company with his arm as well.

In Sunday's 49-13 rout of the winless Cincinnati Bengals, Jackson became the second player in NFL history to produce a perfect passer rating (158.3) in multiple games in a single season. The only other player to do so was Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who had two in 2007. Jackson, who began the season with a perfect rating in Miami, became the sixth player in NFL history with perfect passer ratings in multiple career games, reaching that feat in his 16th NFL start. This came during a season that started with Jackson facing questions as to whether he could be an effective NFL passer. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28051772/lamar-jackson-joins-elite-club-perfect-passer-rating

We need to starting listing his accomplishments. I can't keep up. Every week it's something new.

Pats fan- I can’t believe there was talk that Harbaugh was almost fired the last two years. Only coach in the league who can consistently challenge Belichick. Hope he wins coach of the year. Jackson is awesome to watch!

Jackson now has as many as or more games of four touchdowns and no interceptions this season (two) than the following Hall of Fame quarterbacks had in their careers: Joe Montana (two), Bart Starr (one), Troy Aikman (one), Jim Kelly (one) and Ken Stabler (one), according to ESPN Stats & Information research. Those players also have 10 Super Bowl rings among them. Asked about setting the Ravens record, Jackson said: "That's a good stat. I like that stat. I'd rather throw [touchdowns] than run them. Like I said before, since I'm a running 'back, they're gonna still say whatever they're gonna say." .............https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28102428/lamar-jackson-first-raven-multiple-4-td-games

Yep , Brown has showed strong hands, but has he used his speed or quickness to get open? He rarely practices because of injuries.....

He easily gets bumped off his route, but only the all 22 will show if he is getting open and Lamar is just not seeing him...

Give him time to learn.  You can move him around to get off free more often too.  Remember about a decade ago when they were talking about not getting off free and everyone was screaming about bunching the WRs?  That can come back again.  Run some crossing patterns.

But I was talking about Boykin.  Thats who you last mentioned.  HE has been the more disappointing of the 2.

Lamar Jackson's been putting up mind-spinning statistics and jaw-dropping highlights that have many believing he's the most valuable player thus far.

That sentiment has translated into Pro Bowl votes, as the Baltimore Ravens quarterback leads all players in Pro Bowl voting by the fans with 146,171 votes..........http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001079022/article/lamar-jackson-leading-the-way-in-pro-bowl-voting

RANK

2

Lamar Jackson

Individual Rank: Bhanpuri: 2 | Blair: 2 | Filice: 2 | Parr: 2

2019 stats: 10 games | 66.3 pct | 2,258 pass yds | 8.1 ypa | 19 pass TD | 5 INT | 781 rush yds | 6 rush TD | 0 fumbles lost

Blair: It's become accepted conventional wisdom that Jackson is unlike any quarterback to play the game before, but let's not become inured to the fact that no one in recorded history has been as prolific a passer and a runner as Jackson. He's the only player to ever top 2,200 passing yards and 700 rushing yards through his team's first 10 games, and he's currently on pace to finish with the kind of season line (3,600 passing yards, 1,200 rushing yards, a 66.3 percent completion rate, 30 touchdowns, eight picks and a 106.3 passer rating) that makes searchable statistical databases break down into incomprehensible boops and beeps. On the field, this translates to Jackson being able to pick up yardage at will, like on a third-down run in the first quarter on Sunday when he politely declined Texans linebacker Jake Martin's attempt to tackle him and instead glided for 18 yards, or on a third-quarter run when he gobbled up 39 yards before the sixth and seventh lunging grabs by Houston defenders finally brought him down. When he's not making would-be tacklers reconsider their career goals, Jackson can be found throwing 15- and 18-yard scoring strikes that look like they were scripted by destiny. .................http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001079118/article/qb-index-week-12-dak-in-top-5-tom-brady-slides-out-of-top-10

Just another day....

With Jackson ripping long runs and threading passes in the red zone, here are some new feats he established Monday:

  • First player with five touchdown passes in a Monday Night Football debut, according to the Elias Sports Bureau research

  • Youngest player (22 years old) with multiple games of five touchdown passes in NFL history

  • First player in NFL history with four touchdown passes and at least 50 yards rushing in consecutive games

  • First player with at least 3,000 passing yards and 1,500 rushing yards over his first two seasons in NFL history.

Jackson finished 15-of-20 for 169 yards with touchdown passes to Marquise "Hollywood" Brown (6 and 18 yards), Willie Snead IV (two 7-yarders) and Mark Ingram (7 yards). He also ran for 95 yards on eight carries..........https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28165258/lamar-jackson-throws-5-tds-rushes-95-yards-45-6-win-vs-rams

And one more....

Quote

Five of the touchdowns came via Jackson's arm, the five scores accounting for one-third of his 15 completions; by the time he threw his last TD of the night, Jackson had tossed nine TDs in his last 44 attempts. .......http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001080925/article/what-we-learned-from-ravens-victory-over-rams

Let that sink in. We actually saw this. Remember the 5 game TD drought in 2000? :fishin:

"WTF just happened!?!!"

These are good teams we've been playing---and either winning decisively or blowing them out. It really is an incredible once-in-a-lifetime run they're on.

They've got to take better care with Lamar though. He took some hard shots tonight on his runs.

But man is he elusive! And what a passer he's become!

Here's another...remember this is the 100 year anniversary of the league....

Jackson is also now 50th on the NFL’s all-time rushing list among quarterbacks. He’s made 18 career regular-season starts. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/winners-losers-from-ravens-blowout-win-over-rams-on-monday-night-football/ar-BBXkKcW?li=BBnb7Kz&ocid=U508DHP

This is absolutely amazing. Ive seen it with Vick to some extent but not when paired with this defense. He makes it look so easy, and that was a giod defense out there he lead 6 straight TOUCHDOWN DRIVES against.... Whoop whoop!

Some local history here....

Quote

The 1958 Baltimore Colts had been the last team in the NFL with 2000 passing and 2000 rushing yards after 11 games.

And now... the 2019 Baltimore Ravens are the first team EVER in the 2300/2300 club after 11 games.

Lamar Jackson = John Unitas + Lenny Moore, confirmed.

More records............

Jackson became the first quarterback in NFL history to have four 100-yard rushing games in a season. ........ Ravens' 48th touchdown of the season, breaking the franchise mark set by the 2009 team. ........https://www.espn.com/nfl/recap?gameId=401128027

He's real close to breaking Vicks rushing record. Within 50 yards I think.
