I suppose, just another member of the largest coaching staff in the NFL. What is the saying; too many cooks spoil the recipe!?
-
Back up plan so if (when) Marty ball fails, they have their man in place... Or maybe it means the reign of king Juan is over!
-
Hey, they are being proactive, raising ticket prices.....
-
Dupe.... Oh yes and they stated Wagner was a steal, one of the best right tackles in the game.... Mmmmkay then....
-
Well, not exactly. The Biscutt did call out Sharice Wright, how last year they graded him out higher than Jimmy Smith (now there is another issue- their grading system) yet they did not expect him to blow assignments, lose focus, forget his technique, essentially, every thing he was know to do and why the Ravens were able to get him.... They also then stated they need depth in the secondary and help on the offensive line, oh yes and a "complimentary receiver"..... Basically everything they have needed for the past five plus years... So we can expect the same garbage, trade down in the draft, bust in the first 2-3 rounds, project in rounds 4-6... Oh they also admitted Elam and Brown were busts but that no one expexted that as they checked ESPN and saw all the praise they were getting for drafting thoae two.. Even though many on this board stated those two would be busts....among other players....

He had a great game and really upped his draft stock...
-
He is not a thumper, a tweener, Ed Reed potential though, he has everything else. I am not sure about trading up that far for him when his teammate, a stud corner in the makes of Jimmy Smith but with more brains and natural skill, should be there when the Ravens pick.

Great college player, takes control, has good instincts, size, quickness for a big man. However, he is a Bama player and we know how they bust in the NFL, especially for the Ravens..
-
Beast, freak, mister incredible are just some of the words that describe this young man. Great guy, works hard, has fantastic hands, size, 6'-3", 200 lbs plus. Runs like a gazel, muscles the ball away from defenders when needed, great body control. You will see him tonight against one of the best college defenses, ever. He is the top receiver in the draft, it aint close. He might slide down in range for the Ravens, but not likely.. Why a possible slide? He had a serious neck injury last year, doctors feared he wouldn't walk again, let alone play football. He has shown no ill affects this year.... Watch him if you get a chance.
-
Maybe Pita had incentives to meet as well......
-
Pat Mahomes is the guy you want. He is not ready to take over, but in 2 maybe 3 years he will be exceptional. Great accuracy, anticipation, pocket awareness and leadership. He can also move very well in and out of the pocket and is accurate on the move.

Brandon will likely be too costly but I would love to have him back. Guy is a must, hard worker, productive and he should not be too costly. Juse proved his worth this year, no play more so than that last one in Pit. They use the fullback a lot so he too has fo come back. The best in the league he is..
-
He has struggled all season to get seperation, has struggled with catching the ball and has little to no body control. Sure, maybe jitters, maybe just running at half speed because he doesn't or isn't sure of the play called. Sure, more time may help.... Then again maybe not and as we all know, one needs time to throw the ball deep....

A new identity won't happen so long as Juan is on the staff...

True, but they came that close to making the playoffs the year before had they just won 4 of the what, 8 games decided by 3 pts? This year was almost exactly the same. Can't win on the road, poor coaching decisions, defense giving up leads in the 4th quarter because they are worn down, offense sputtering, can't make 3rd & short yardage when the game is on the line. So what has changed in the past 3 years? Big deal, this year they won 8 games should have won 10 or even 11.... Same song, same dance the only change has been the offensive coordinator, again. Players are still blowing assignments, still making stupid mistakes, still at the top of the league in penalties. Yes, all these issues were there too in 2012, luck saw them win it all, not coaching. Harbs made the same mistKes baxk then as he does today. Foolish to keep him on, especially when no changes are being made...
-
Then draft Jordan Lewis in the first round, a stud corner from Michigan, solid in man, quick feet, strong in press man instinctive.. Peppers would be a nice safety but he will command too much money and I wonder if his legs will hold up. Use the rest of the draft to find a real slot receiver with jitters.. A center, inside linebacker, outside rush backer and yes, a pass rusher... Maybe, maybe then they will be a player or two away.

Next tuesday is the liars luncheon.

Oh boy, next October should be fun with another mid season oc firing... I wonder if the London game will be in October and be the one he geta fired after..... I suppose it is better than Roman...
-
At best 8-8, until they prove they can draft well, coach well, and play on the road let alone win on the road..

Congrats to Joe for breaking the Ravens yardage record
tsylvester replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Signing and drafting fast receivers is what yall call helping the deep game? Wallace is not as fast as he uaed to be. He who shall not be named barely saw the field in now 2 seasons and he trips over his feet trying to run fast... That is, IF he catches the ball or can get off press coverage... A line that can't hold blocks for more than POINT 2 SECONDS., not 2 seconds, 2 tenths of a second on average. Drew Brees broke another record for passing, how has his team done with all his passing records? -
Wow, talk about another five years of futile offense, Roman? Harbs should be fired just for talking to him on the phone!
-
The ice cream man has to be better than Powers at recognizing routes and tackling, just simply because of the unknow skill compared with the known no skill. Rookies, drafted or undrafted have to be better under the same premises. We have already discussed Marty, Pees, Harbs, Castillo, (did you notice how well the Bengals' line played with almost all back ups, yet the Ravens can't make half a yard with just one new lineman), the scouts, Ozzie, frankly anyone who said to bring in these scrubs or draft the obvious, to us couch coaches, duds.. Passing up skilled players at position of need in favor of developmental players....

He is retiring, wow...
