Time to pic 'em - Ravens 6th pick. Who do you think we grab?
tsylvester replied to Tornado700's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Durability is the only real question on Tunsil..... -
True, this hearing was about the procedure, which was followed...

Gone for first 4 games of season. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/04/25/nfl-wins-deflategate-appeal-tom-brady-suspension-back-on/?utm_network=facebook&utm_post=5640027&utm_source=FB%20-%20SNF%20on%20NBC I am surprised, therewas ample enough questionable evidence in his favor...

Panthers pull franchise tag from Josh Norman
tsylvester replied to tsylvester's topic in NFL General
Yeah, but is that $50 a phony guarantee ala the Griffin deal? $36.5 fully guaranteed in the form of a signing bonus of $15 mil, a salary of $5 mil this year, $16.5 mil next year and $13 mil in 2018, the rest is based on playing time... -

He is claiming the Panthers blind sided him, but if he truly wanted to stay with "his mentor" why not take their offer of $14 mil per, rather than the $15 per he is getting from the skins? Granted the parameters are likely different, but still.... If I wanted to stay somewhere, anything close to the "my number" would keep me there... -
No chance, he will miss all of or most of next season & that numbness is NOT normal, that is a nerve issue that may or may not go away. Chances are it is something that keeps coming back and no, surgery cannot fix it. If they land Ramsey in the first, they likely go either offensive line or defensive line in the 2nd. If not, they likely take Alexander in the 2nd... I would love for them to land both Ramsey & Alexander, but we can't ask for all of that, can we?

AS I said on the other thread, I think Ramsey falls to us. 1 Goff & 2 Wentz obvious qb's, The Chargers I believe will take Tunsil, they need help badly on the line, the Cowboys will go either Bosa or Elliot, before their latest suspension, they wanted Elliot, this might change. Jax is the concern. They did sign a couple of db's in the off season, one a pretty good starter when he can stay healthy, and their safeties are pretty good. They could still take Ramsey, but I think they ignore the rumors of the disintegrating knee and take Jack, leaving Ramsey for the Ravens even if Bosa is there. Bosa just doesn't fit this system of the morphing from 3-4 to 4-3 even to a 5-2. He would not see many snaps and do you really want the 6th pick of the draft to be a one down, maybe 2 down player? -
I think both, but they need safety help more, pending how true it is that the bust from past years draft is actually turning things around.

Skins sign him, 5 years, $75 mil, $50 mil is guaranteed...http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000655390/article/redskins-sign-josh-norman-to-5year-75m-deal -
I am really starting to think Ramsey is going to fall to 6. Now, if thr Ravens were offered to trade picks with a team in the 15- 20 range, plus get a 3rd this year and a 2nd next year, what would you do?
-
Cowboys lost, likely, another defensive end to drug suspension, wonder if they take Bosa, one can only hope...

Fans mean nothing to the franchise, no matter how much people want it to be untrue. Boldin had to go from a business perspective, just as Norman had to go if they felt he would be a true distraction to the team. Other than that, cap wise it mattered not to them to keep him as a franchise player or else they would not have done so to begin with. They stated he was the best last year, they knew he wanted to be paid as such. To now all of a sudden release him, especially if the reports are true they had a few small offers for him, makes no sense. -

Still, they could have waited until the draft or even after working on trades. Shoot, a 5th or 6th rounder is better than nothing. -
I could understand this trade if; the Eagles knew which quarterback they were getting at two AND, the Browns had a quarterback. Since neither is the case, wow. Sure, the Browns get a bunch of picks but how will they use them?
-
He is a free agent immediately. Wow, some stunning news today..... I wonder what caused this...
-
With the voice of the cowardly lion; please don't let them draft Bosa, please oh please please please please not Bosa....
-
Tell you what, if they draft Elliot, I will no longer be a Ravens fan. That is how sure I am that they will not. Great to read Joe and Breshard are making progress.
-
They trade 1st round picks and give up;3rd & 4th round this year and 1st round next year and a 2nd round in 2018. They get:the Browns 4th rounder this year

Thr back in college had huge holes and built his yards up against burger flippers and car salesman. His weight has nothing to do with his ineffectiveness in the NFL. His lack of vision and slow feet are the reasons. On his fourth team will not change his terrible play. Just another Bama guy for Ozzie, I wish he would retire and just take over in Bama. These Bama busts are costing the team now.

These stadiums are a joke to begin with. They are never paid off, tax payers pay the price for their life time. This crap that city's benefit from having a team, financially, is just that, crap. Any in depth study shows cities lose money, tax payers lose money. You want to hear about a bad deal, the city of New Orleans had a horrible deal not only paying, in full for the stadium, but also paying millions of dollars each year to the team for them to stay there. This was a few years ago, I am not sure the same deal holds but I would not be surpised if it did.
-
The league was very much involved in the move. They have been wanting a team back there since the Rams first left. Not sure why, the draw wont be any better than it was in Arizona.
-
This early, if all are healthy, without knowin the draft etc... I could see 9-10 wins...
-
I can almost see their point, almost. They have a very good, young defense, an excellent running back, who is young, a good offensive line, young and a decent, not great, receiving core, young. One could make the argument that they only need a young, good quarterback... Me, nope, I don't give up that much, their cap in a year or two is going to be a mess with all the talent at positions that will demand high dollar salaries.
