  1. I like how Pees is blitzing Elam and allowing him to be aggressive.
  2. Clean strip
  3. Haha "that's a hattrick!"
  4. Ngata!!!!!!!
  5. Spectacular kick, hate to see us keep squandering good field position.
  6. I agree with papa, fair question to ask. I keep remembering the Redskins game from 2012, three TDs on great passes in the first half, absolutely miserable second half.
  7. No corporate suites (I think they recently added two actually), inadequate lockerroom area, (Carmelo Anthony was sitting on the floor two years ago when the Knicks came to play the Wizards), and just an overall dirty, retro 70s looking interior. I am sure the media facilities required for an event like the NFL draft are inadequate as well. COULD it host the draft? Sure. But it would be cramped and probably hammered by the snobby media because it doesn't have the bells and whistles.
  8. That arena is so disguisting, no way it could host the draft.
  9. I thought Davis had one more year of arbitration? I think we have to keep Davis for his last year. His potential alone is worth the shot. I would hate to see him hit 40 home runs for someone else when we could have had that production cheap for one more season. If he's as bad as last season, then he's gone at the end of the season. At least he provides good defense and power.
  10. Hope he terrorizes the Steelers this week and makes them regret not drafting him two picks prior.
  11. I agree with the sentiment in this topic. With Elam it is important to remember he is only 22 years old, younger than a lot of rookies this season. He was a true junior coming out and was mainly a runningback in high school. I don't think he'll ever be an impact player, but maybe he can be a late bloomer. As papa said a pick that late is basically a second rounder. Look at the safeties drafted recently, there are a lot of high round picks that ended up as average players at best. The Bucs just traded Barron two years removed from being a top ten pick. It's hard finding the next playmaker like Earl Thomas or Jairus Byrd.
  12. Btw this WS game is incredible. Bumgarner is coming out for the ninth to pitch to the heart of the Royals' order. Bumgarner is either going to go down as a legend or the Giants manager is going to catch a lot of heat for sending out again.
  13. I just did some quick research, looks like if you want the Kinnect you have to buy a bundle with AC4. I didn't know the Kinnect was being phased out this much.
  14. I know, right? Even more amazing is the fact that she's over 50, with multiple injuries, living such a physically grueling lifestyle. Incredible. Makes me want to watch the show she's festured on.
  15. http://podcasts.joerogan.net/podcasts/sue-aikens Sue Aikens... crazy stuff
  16. Papa did you listen to the Rogan podcast with that woman who lives north of the Artic Circle in Alaska? Some of the craziest stories I've ever heard!
  17. I am starting to think, is there really anything we can do of significance? Everything I have read and people I have talked to make it seem like we are screwed regardless and the time to act was years ago. I heard about this today and had never even thought about the cause and effect: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Environmental_impact_of_aviation My opinion is the future of human survival is going to be dependent upon technological innovation.
  18. Well we ended up getting a field goal off of that next punt so I'd consider that a wash. Aiken should have caught that pass for 6.
  19. Typical Ravens performance against the Bengals. Bengals magically turn into the best defense in the league when they play us.
  20. Just give London a team already!
  21. I really want to take the Ravens, but echoing others in this thread, how many times have we seen a hot Ravens team lose to a wounded Bengals team who miraculously plays the game of their lives? I've seen this story many times, the Bengals will bring a lot of pressure and play a cover 2 that somehow we can't do anything against, and the Bengals win in a close ugly game with lots of turnovers.
  22. I'm hooked on Gotham!
  23. Atlanta was a game I had as a loss at the beginning of the season. Obviously I felt different coming into this week, but it just shows how easily studs become duds and vice versa in this league on a yearly basis.
  24. Exactly. I know I underestimated the Royals offense. Our pitchers are walking too many guys and allowing too many hits early in the inning.
  25. I don't think that's it. I think a lot of people underestimated KC's speed on the series. KC might not be stealing bases but they are getting on base and making our pitchers very uncomfortable. This is a very evenly matched series. The difference has been KC's big three in the bullpen (Herrera, Davis and Holland) have been better then our big three (Miller, O'Day, and Britton). Both teams have gotten hits, had disappointing starting pitching, and missed opportunities with RISP. The difference has been our bullpen has broken first in both games. One more thing: KC has played better defense then us. We've been robbed of multiple extra base hits due to the speed in their outfield. On defense, Pearce couldn't catch a Hardy throw in the first game which led to a four run inning. Yesterday Flaherty made a couple of bad plays. This is still very much a series, but tomorrow is a must win.
