  1. I read that Reed and Pollard were upset about a late-season practice in full pads. Can't find the page anymore. But really, such a tiny thing.
  2. In the scheme of things that little extra money was not worth the injury risk for him.
  3. I had heard nothing of this 'mutiny' so this is all very interesting to me. If it is true that Reed and Pollard lead it than you can expect both will be gone. Crazy that we won a Super Bowl in the face of it. What I don't get is what caused the players to be upset? Both of those guys are starters..
  4. Where is anyone getting the idea they will move Webb? Absolutely no way they move a highly-paid CB to a position where you can usually find cheap values like SS. Zero chance of happening.
  5. He signed a 4 year extension for 12 million just last year, so I think that's where it's coming from, although I'm not sure what part of it is causing the dead money. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/cap-hit/
  6. Not fall out towards Joe, the team wants to win just like he does, but very interesting moves so far. I was fine letting the guys go get overpaid, loved the Canty move, but see ZERO basis for cutting Pollard to save $1 million. Even if you have a different plan for starting SS why not keep the guy? We don't have depth at CB or LB at the moment. Pollard could have been used creatively as a pseudo-LB or Nickel/Dime back who can cover RB's/TE's in some schemes. Hate that move.
  7. Apparently only saving $1 Million against the cap with this move. Wow. Don't understand it then. You can't replace him for that and you need some continuity from year to year. Don't like this move whatsoever.
  8. Apparently Bernard Pollard has been cut. Was due 3.25 Million which apparently is all savings now. Very surprising move from my point of view. Didn't think that was too much for what he brought to the table. Maybe we bring back Landry for cheap?
  9. Very interesting. I barely watch cable so I've just been streaming Ravens games for years since I'm out of market. Red Zone channel has indeed lessened the need for Sunday Ticket and the availability of online streaming has too I'm sure. I would love if DirecTv passed on the exclusive version of this, because at that point I'd guess that most (if not all) the cable companies could jump on board to offer it but at lower prices since they wouldn't be paying for exclusivity.
  10. Scouts Inc.Canty was only active for nine games in 2012 because of a knee injury. He's a big, strong, athletic interior lineman who has improved as both a run and pass defender. Canty has great length, which hinders his ability to maintain proper pad level at times, but he has learned how to utilize active hands to leverage blockers. He has decent range for a defensive tackle and flashes quickness to penetrate gaps while defending the run and rushing the passer. Canty is an eight-year veteran who provides great experience and consistency. ATTRIBUTES= elite= poor Run Defense Pass Rush Quickness Strength Recognition Durability Here's the Scouting report from Insider. Rated a 78 overall, Ellerbe a 76 and Kruger a 75 for what it's worth.
  11. Really don't want Te'o but it's looking like we're definitely gonna go ILB in the draft. I'm hoping for Brian Urlacher now.
  12. “@AlbertBreer: Chris Canty gets $8M over 3 years, with $2.8M guarantee in Baltimore.” ^ Great signing for a guy that was due to make over $6 Million this year and had signed a 6 year $42 million a few years ago. http://arrowheadaddict.com/2013/03/12/chiefs-offered-chris-canty-a-contract-according-to-report/ ^ Looks like he also probably took less money to come here, gotta love that. “@AlbertBreer: As it turns out, the Packers' doctors wouldn't sign off on Chris Canty after his physical. The Chiefs, Titans and Ravens obviously did.” ^Also very interesting. We'll need to look into this a bit more, I hadn't read injury was part of the problem when he was cut.
  13. Canty is slotted as a DE from what I read earlier, think Trevor Pryce or Arthur Jones.
  14. 317 per Aaron Wilson. Waiting to judge the signing until I see some numbers but I like the thought here. The run defense was a sieve last year.
  15. IMO there's no way we should've given Ellerbe that kind of money. I would've done $5 a year. Gotta wonder what we did offer.
  16. Kruger 5 year 40 Million to Cleveland Ellerbe reaches agreement with Miami, terms yet to be reported. Typical overpayment of a winning roster.
  17. Hard to blame him for trading a few years of victories for probably triple what we would pay him. He can always move to a winning team but this is his only chance to ever get paid like this.
  18. Praying they pay him $12 Million a year. He's worth $4.
  19. Another great read from Grantland. http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-triangle/post/_/id/53824/boldin-and-harvin-sent-packing-as-the-nfl-offseason-gets-busy I agree Crav, it wasn't only Boldin, all the WR's made huge plays and really saved Joe's ass. He has no business earning what he's about to earn. The only thing keeping me from complaing about Joe's contract over and over is the hope he is about to reach his peak playing years and the fact that the cap hit the first 3 years is low.
  20. Boldin was one of the biggest reasons we won the Super Bowl this year but he wasn't worth keeping around at $6 Million in the future and if we hadn't traded him he was getting cut. I would love to go get Greg Jennings or Jake Long personally. I think they need to restructure Ngata and Suggs to lessen their ~$12 Million cap hits... extend their contracts if need be.
  21. Very surprising that we would resign him for above the league minimum. He showed promise but doesn't seem to be the kind of guy we need now that Jacoby has stepped up and Boldin is gone.
  22. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/cap-hit/ No need to guess.
  23. Have a feeling the Boldin deal was made in part in an attempt to keep both Ellerbe and Reed. This should be an interesting Free Agency.
  24. Was curious to see if we shopped him around. Minny fans upset they didn't offer their 6th and that hurts us as well, about 20 spots better and not as big of a title-contender.
  25. From what I read his salary was $6 Million but his cap figure was $7.5. I assume with trades that shifts 100% to San Fran. Someone correct me if you read something different.
