  1. Agree but he was a 7th Rounder who took some time to develop before posting fantastic blocking ratings last year on an otherwise shredded Colts O-line. Looks like we should've used the Jensen pick on somebody else but who cares, depth on the o-line is always good.
  2. You know this because of the total of 0 Bears games you watched. I saw multiple and am from Chicago, everyone there thinks he still has it... At least $2 Million of veteran leadership at MLB 'it'.
  3. Agree with what I read earlier somewhere... We're going to go through most of camp with what we have, if we don't think anyone is stepping up there will be a WR or 2 left in FA, somebody who got cut, or someone we can trade a 4th/5th rounder for to get a vet. No worries necessary. I'd still rather cut McClain now though and spend $2 Million on Dansby or Urlacher.
  4. I'm very optimistic, him actually showing up to workouts and committed to getting some weight off is exactly what we needed. He was playing 20+ pounds heavier than any other LT in football, that just isn't realistic.
  5. Will be interesting when they announce what the draft pick can be worth, but I love the move. Awesome rating from PFF and a lot more experience than Gradkowski. I'd actually put the odds on him to start this year. https://twitter.com/PFF/status/332496226505334784 http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Ravens-Trade-For-Center-AQ-Shipley/09c21090-d268-4c4d-a2b4-deebe494cb84 More from PFF: @aqshipley The annoying thing is we were working on a piece where you were a possible Secret Superstar for the Colts. Had to scrap that now Awesome.
  6. They had Russel Wilson at 23. Crabtree ahead of AJ Green. Antoine Winfield is now a 3rd CB and is ranked 58. I think it's a joke.
  7. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Late-For-Work-57-Ozzie-Newsome-We-Could-Use-Veteran-WR-Playing-The-Field/48c1b82b-5418-49b7-ab55-6e9f388225e5 Good read as well ^ Definitely some vets left out there but we don't have much $ after the McKinnie deal. Minimum deal is pretty much all we'll be able to offer. Hopefully the playing time will be a draw so we can get somebody good in here for cheap.
  8. Meh that's more than I was hoping the deal would be for. But we'll take it. Was hoping we'd have a few mil for a run at Woodson or Urlacher for some veteran depth.
  9. He's saying we should have added talent so that we had more leverage for a long-term deal, or worst-case, some protection if Pitta leaves.
  10. Good news is that he didn't come out and accept it right away, they only have $5 Million in space as well and are probably low-balling. Hopefully we can match the offer.
  11. Agreed on this, McKinnie is a much bigger priority than a WR. I expect the run game to be a much bigger part of the offense this year either way. I'm excited for some 3 back sets with the versatility of the new FB and perhaps some Pierce and Rice in at the same time.
  12. My point here is that with our current roster, we have no playing time for him as an 'edge-setter' for at least 2 years unless Suggs gets cut or someone has a severe injury. I'd like to cut Rolando and give this guy a shot at MLB. I'm assuming Jameel and Brown are going to start and both are 3-down players, why not have another project as a backup?
  13. Trading Q was a great move, we had no choice given our cap situation but to get rid of him and they managed to get a draft pick for him.
  14. This was the most interesting pick of the draft in my opinion. Absolutely zero shot at playing time at OLB with Upshaw, Suggs and Dumervil on the roster... Do we try him at MLB this year?
  15. I wasn't a fan of the Brandon Williams pick at first because we have Cody and Ngata is supposed to be playing NT this year, but the more I read it appears Cody is just flat-out done, I wouldn't be surprised to see him out of the rotation.
  16. How quickly we forget the Super Bowl heroes....
  17. Agreed, even if they LOVE Gino, you have to have a backup, glad this seems like a kid who could actually fight for the job so it's not given to Gino.
  18. Happy we got SOMEBODY for WR in this draft and this kid fits a need, I always love guys who had big production at the college level, we need somebody to step in now.
  19. I don't think this is going to lead to Leach being cut. He is on the cap for 4.33 but we would only save 3 by cutting him. We need Vonta, especially since we haven't gone out and gotten another WR I expect a lot of running this year. Add in that right now it appears our LT will be a run-blocker, Pierce showed he can play, and I'd say the running game will be a huge focus this year, Vonta likely stays.
  20. I think they took a chance on him BECAUSE of the great depth we have on the DLine, but I still don't really get it... Even if we are talking about next year, we are fairly young and deep on the DLine, there isn't much PT for him if he is healthy.
  21. Really like this pick but he is not going to be ready to start this year, bring back McKinnie.
  22. Yeah this draft is giving me a raging boner so far.
  23. 2 guys who will fly around. Love it. Sad to see this run on WR's here, was hoping for the guy from Cal.
  24. Love this kid, plays like a Raven flying around with a lot of passion for the game. I don't see height as an issue for a SS, it just gives him leverage when he's tackling. His #'s pop off the charts and his play pops off the highlights, great pick.
