  1. If he's there at 26 we should take Strong.
  2. It ain't much: http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/cap/2015/ They need to make moves, either extensions or and/or cuts.
  3. Gotta keep Webb and I think he might more amenable to a restructure/extension. Ngata probably going to get cut. He's indicated he can live fine without the Ravens and with some other team. Ngata comes with a downside though. He's 31 and before 2014 he had a string of just average seasons (granted injuries took a toll too). He gets beat up every game because he plays in the defensive line. How many contributable years does he have left, if any?
  4. Except $8.5 million in cap space.
  5. If he's cut and signs with another team do we get a comp pick?
  6. If they really are far apart then cut him or trade him to Pags (and get more than a 6th round pick like we got for Q). Given the apparent lack of desire to really be here, which started with last year's contract extension negotiations, I don't think Ngata is going to remain a Raven. Fortunately, the D-line is solid even without him. Sure it'd be better if he was around but not that much better. Plus, how much does he have left at his age? And if he goes, the Ravens get an additional 8 million in cap space. The guy they really have to re-sign is Owen Daniels. He wants to be here, he's a contributor and play maker and dependable. Doesn't have many years left but we have desperate need of all the TE's we can get.
  7. I read that too, Crav. Nobody really thinks Joe's cap value will be that high in 2016. They'll renegotiate or extend.
  8. Yup, it's sad. I'm down about it too. But that's the game when you play with a cap. Plus he had so many drops this past year. Never forget that catch in Denver though.
  9. My thoughts too. And he should be there at 26. But, Oz always goes BPA. I don't agree with that all the time but his record is pretty good.
  10. I like what I've seen of Gilmore too. He's a real tough blocker and can catch the ball Yes...sad but true. Dennis should give it up. We need to find a TE but this draft is weak on them. Maybe a FA?
  11. I think that's only going to give us about $3 million in cap space after adjusting for draft pool.
  12. He had a decent year and has potential for better when he can get more playing time. We ought to be able to sign him cheap...at least for another year.
  13. Ngata is not a necessity. We've got reserves ready to step in and as has been pointed out, at 31 years old that's a ridiculous number for any DT (16 mil). If they can't lower his cap value to about half that they need to make a trade to some team that's flush with cap room.
  14. We're in agreement...they should target WR/CB/TE early depending on what happens in free agency. If we can get Haloti and Webb to accept a contract extension that lowers our cap, Oz will have some flexibility.
  15. They are pathetic. Why don't they just get their information from local writers here? Their track record is pretty good. Agree with what ravenmad said about our needs. But I'm sure that Oz will go BPA.
  16. He deserves a coach of the year mention at least considering the constant secondary injuries and the plugging in of Hurst and Urschel when they were needed.
  17. Cornerback is an obvious need but from I've read I wouldn't expect one at #26 who would be BPA.
  18. I'm looking forward to it. While nothing major happens, sometimes the buzz lets you know what they're thinking regarding, extensions, free agency, and the draft.
  19. Well, crap, if I had known that it would have explained his erratic performance.
  20. ...And were seldom heard from again!
  21. I think it's 50-50 we get Forsett back. But you are right. We've got to have a very good running back backing him up. It's possible that's Taliaferro but I'd feel better with rookie talent from this year's draft.
  22. I think the Ravens will win either way...either he stays with a much reduced cap figure or he goes with an even greater reduced cap number.
  23. I was thinking the same thing. We could possibly grab a draft pick if we can find a team that has a low cap number and needs defensive line help.
