DING DONG!!!!

It tells me that talent was sitting on the bench and rusting. Marlon Brown might not have ever set foot on the field if not for the Boldin trade and injuries. Now he's a "find" too. Let me add this...I don't think the Ravens are 3-4 if either Pita or Boldin were playing. Just one of them would have made a difference of 1...maybe 2 wins.
-
The way that I see it, to make the playoff,s the Ravens would have to win the rest of their Divisional games and not lose to an AFC opponent. Tall order.
-
Love your last sentence varav. Yea...I'm all in when it comes to supporting and seeing this through...however painful the growing pains are. I agree...I don't see how they can turn this around quickly. I also think they will be a much better team as the season wears on.
-
I hope they can take care of half of them and make improvement in the other half. Read the article on McKinnie and Castillo's new blocking scheme in the News Feeds section and there's another problem to solve. Then...just getting players healthy will help a lot.
-
McKinnie doesn't come off as bitter here so I'm taking what he says as true... We know Rice and Pierce are not healthy. It's a perfect storm to wreck the running game. This is a good example of "If it works, don't fix it". The O line played great in the playoffs and as far as I'm concerned they threw that formula in the trash.
-
I like your prediction OTR. That would be a fantastic turnaround, and if that happens, then I would add a "W" for the final regular season game and a Division Championship. I'd flip out if that happens. The O line kept Joe upright and gave him some time against the Steelers so there is some hope that the O will get better. But the Ravens couldn't run. If the Ravens can't run, then the additional losses that I see to change your list are both games with Cincy and the Patriots game. That puts them at 7-9. This team has a lot of good parts but they are not in sync, so I see the 7-9 record as the better possibility.

I love good adult conversation.

Total Desperation Move. Bring back Terry Allen and Jason Brookins.

More troubling stats....

I bet nOne of them has Mastered The LeArning Triangle!

Wait till the little bastards egg your house.

It's beginning to look like the Front Office and coaching staff are on to something. These receivers could not develop or get better sitting on the bench or getting a few token reps during a game. They believed in their talent and the next step in developing them is to play them. They are also paying for the growing pains.
-
From Clayton.... You can't go far without a decent QB. Even if he's a caretaker. With the passing numbers up...the list of injured QB's will go up too. What Clayton didn't say is: You're not going to see good football. More bench warmers....more Brady Quins....will be directing...or should I say misdirecting offenses.
-
It's never a good thing when you're compared to the '96 defensive unit. The parts of this team are not working together to get that winning formula. The Defense has to get more 3 and outs and give the offense the ball in decent field position. The offense has to convert more 3rd downs, move the chains and stay on the field....and...oh yea...score touchdowns.
-
Here's some interesting stats from Joe Platania of PressBox. Joe's a real good source for Ravens information.
-
Some movies that I like for Halloween: Night of the Living Dead (original) Carnival of Souls...real freaky Halloween 1 and 2...Michael Meyers is pure evil. Evil Dead 2...great flick Army of Darkness...not too bad. Bride of Frankenstein...love it...classic...at the end Frankenstein rips a cops arm off and beats him to death with it... I think it's called Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein...the one where they have the Wolfman, Frankenstein and Draccula...I think it's just funny.
-
I don't think so. Think about it....the Ravens have had great rushing attacks with no threat at QB or receiver. Terry Allen and Jason Brookins look like Adrian Peterson compared to Rice and Pierce.

Thank You Sir May I Have Another!!!

and the NFL wants an 18 game season.... Cutler...groin...out at least 4 weeks. Reggie Wayne...done for season ACL Finley...in ICU. Bradford...ACL...done for season. Doug Martin...torn labrum. Brian Cushing...knee...done for season.
-
And the 4th most disliked player in the NFL is?!!!.....
-
What a lame theme for a season. John: Change it this bye week. Yea....Here We Are. I wanted to post 2013 Ravens Have Packed It In. Or Super Bowl Hangover For Real in Baltimore. But that is not the whole truth. There are guys grinding it out, who are giving their best, and loving the opportunity to be a Raven and play in the NFL. There a players playing hurt and trying to hide it. Ngata, Ray Rice, Pierce, Osemelee to name a few. All I know is that this is not Ravens Football. Where's the passion? Where's the attitude? How about a new theme...like... YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME?!!!!!.......... because Everybody does. It's obvious. So why not realize that and come charging out onto the field swinging and strike the first blow and keep swinging for 60 minutes BECAUSE THAT'S HOW RAY LEWIS PLAYED AND THAT'S HOW A RAVEN PLAYS!!!!!
