81....sweeping the Rays is so huge. They are a good team and wanted this as bad as the O's. However this plays out, this is a season I will never forget.

Ravens Super Bowl odds dropped to 11 to 1 this week.

If you say so then I won't worry because you've been getting all the calls right lately. I'm a Man!

That is too cool. I want that Tatoo.

O'MAZING!!!!!!!!!! I caught the game on radio on my way home from work...8th inning. Then I go to the gym and workout...watch it on all the tv's there...everybody's stopping and looking up at the screens the whole time I'm there. O's fever everywhere. I get home in time to see Mannyland hit the game winner and receive a pie. This is just too incredible.

Last night was a classic example of "finding ways to win". What Machado did is rare. His head was in the game. Eighty and Sixty-Two!

This is Philly's home opener. They will be on fire...not depressed like everybody gets when walking into the Brownies stadium. They have some great offensive weapons and a very good defense. Look out for McCoy...if Green Ellis can run for over 5 ypc on the Ravens D then McCoy might average 7. They will pound McCoy after Vick looking shitty trying to throw 56 times. smart move. Stop McCoy and Ravens win...easier said than done.

Nice! Joe's Bandwagon is over flowing this week. If he has a bad game in Philly they'll want to hang him. This will be a true test for Joe because they have a real good D and excellent secondary.

Rainey is back on the practice squad.

79-62! Tied for 1st! Nice win last night. Hopefully it's just scar tissue bothering Hammel.

That was the game where my brother and I said Baltimore football is back. The fans went wild for the 1st time ever. They were chanting leaving the game, literally dancing in the street. You could feel the same energy that we had at Memorial Stadium in the days of the Colts. Ravens fans were too much of a "wine and cheese" crowd at games until that win. Never again after that. They showed the Sharpe winning TD play on the big screen last night...same day 12 years ago...9/10/00.

We had another game like that...not as bad a hole, but bad enough to say "No way they come back." I think it was the against the 49ers at home.

It will be interesting to see where the Ravens settle in statisticlly as the season progresses. The only stats that matter to me are wins and losses, standings in the division, points scored and points surrendered. The rest of the stats tell where you are falling short and what your strengths are. This week Ray Lewis leads the league in tackles, Ed Reed is tied with a ton of guys with 1 interception and tied with 4 others for running it back for a TD. Ngata tied with a ton of players with 2 sacks. The Ravens D is ranked 13th. 7th against the pass and 24th against the run (look for Philly to try and run like crazy because their passing game almost got Vick killed and sucked really, really bad). The Ravens D is tied for 3rd in points surrendered. Tied for 2nd in sacks. Tied at 3 in giveaway/takeaway difference. Joe Flacco is the #5 rated QB. The Ravens have the #4 offense. #5 passing and #11 rushing. They are #2 in scoring and #2 in first downs. The Ravens are in sole possesion of 1st place in the Division....and tied with 16 teams with 1 win... and just remember...

You nailed it yeager! My son and I hung in that game and it was fantastic! At halftime I was feeling down and my son said "We're coming back to win". I'm thinking "Right." Then the Ravens score....we went crazy with each score. Unbelievable but it happened. You never leave early....unless you're in Cleveland.

I stayed to the end because I took off work today. These Monday night, Sunday night and Thursday night games are killers for the fans who have to get up early for work. I hate them. Now... It was embarasing for the Bengals. The Ravens had their 2's and 3's playing with 10 minutes to go. I've never seen that in a regular season game. It was a slap in the face. What's worse is that Marvin took that slap and brought in his 2's conceding the game. I've never seen that either. You never quit when you are down but the Bengals did. You attack...you fight...

Some quotes about the O line.... Harbaugh on the line.... And some more.... ...I'm a quote freak...love to get to know the players...

It's just not looking good....

Thanks for this update cleetz. I'm missing stuff like thios following the O's and Ravens. My bad. This sounds like the next local sports team to get excited about...as they "rise from the ashes" like the O's....

"They should have traded him last year when he had value."

I guess are hoping Rainey clears waivers and then they can put him on the practice squad. Hope...because he's a Ray Rice clone who would really help if Ray misses a game or 2. They probably want more power in the #2 RB position, but you can't put a RB on the field who can't pass protect...something Allen struggles with.

Attack. Attack! Attack! Joe said that he's tired of sitting on a lead. He's comming up on free agency....and you know... He just might be a handy guy to keep around! Factor in that the game has changed. It's a passing league and the Ravens D is....let's say...in transition. Something has to give. Something has to change for the Ravens to stay on top...and.... "Necessity is the Mother of Invention". Some of this change is not rocket science. Gradually over 5 yearsOzzie got the players. There is a strong group of receiving threats in Rice, Boldin, Smith, Jones, Pita, Dixon and yes...Leach. Joe can make all the throws....so logic says "Let him". Sometime during the off season, Caldwell made a simple observation on an obvious, but over looked fact: Joe was comfortable in, and played well in the shot gun/no huddle in college. He's comfortable doing that. Very comfortable. So Caldwell said, "Hey guys! How about letting Joe do what Joe does best? I worked with a guy who enjoyed doing that and was successfull....and I didn't forget how to run it." Harbaugh told Cam to open up the whole playbook. He wants Everything available for Joe. Everything. We're going "All Out" Last night Joe never took his foot of the gas. They had to sit him to stop from scoring. "Dum de Dum...no big deal. I throw. They catch."
