I agree with Crav. There is no QB I want a part of in the 1st. There are no Mariota/Winstons this year. There are a lot of intriguing prospects who could be had later in the draft this year. Someone who can sit a few years and learn and develop. I would be happy with drafting one of those types.

Some of those calls were bullshit though. Nothing you can do about that. I actually liked the edge the defence showed in this game. If we had played every game this season like that we would be 7-3 instead of 3-7.

I know we beat the Rams but it feels like a defeat. At least the D showed signs of life again. The secondary looked much better. Smith and Webb finally look like they are getting healthy.

Pitta will save us $600k and while it opens a spot we already have our 3 TEs for next year so that's $600k that can spent elsewhere. We can't do anything with Suggs unless he takes a pay cut. The cap hit is just too big. Now after next season we save a lot of money. We really need to get a pass rusher in this draft. Still, it all comes back to Joe and what he gives back to the team. If he refuses to renegotiate we are in deep dodo.

Sorry partly set on record. You see where we got Jacksonville and Miami this year from the AFC East. We finished 3rd in the AFC North last year so we get the 3rd placed teams from the AFC East and South. If we had finished 1st or 2nd we would have got NE or BUF and IND or HOU. Everything else is rotational. Every 4 years we will get the NFC West. Sometimes you luck into a division being down in any given year and end up with a weak SOS. Sometimes you run a gauntlet with a 4 team playoff calibre division. No conspiracy in opponents. The dates those opponents are scheduled is open to intepretation however.

You do realise the schedule is set based on last year's record? The NFL can't get into predicting who is going to be good the next year and set the schedule accordingly. The only thing people can argue about is the fairness in when away games are scheduled especially when cross country games are scheduled.

Totally agree. Ronda may be a good striker but would get killed in a boxing match which Holm proved. Rhonda doesn't move well enough for boxing. She takes awkward striking angles and doesn't know how to avoid strikes. Don't get me wrong, when she hits you its over but against an experienced operator like Holm, Ronda's tactics where all wrong and that's on her and her coaching team. In the rematch she has to sit back a bit more and counter. Holm wasn't putting any combos together because she was striking and then getting out of there to avoid the grapple. Ronda needs to learn to avoid the punch and then quick counter especially if she can get Holm to move onto her back foot.

Yeah I think Rousey thought she was invincible and could just charge in against any opponent and overwhelm them. Credit to Holm, she had a great game plan and executed it to perfection. I still think Ronda can beat Holm but she needs to come up with a better game plan.

I agree with TBird somewhat. We need to get at least 1 top class WR and a 2nd if SS does in fact retire. We are set at TE. We are ok on the O-Line. We are ok at RB. On D we need a pass rusher, a cover LB and at least 2 corners. Getting all that in 1 off season might be tough but that's not a massive list of needs either.

Just on Harbs. There is a lot of smoke linking him with the USC job. Apparently his representatives even enquired about a financial package and his wife is interested in living in Southern California. There were talks held during the 49ers week. It wouldn't surprise me if it happened. Things haven't felt right since Ozzie and Biscuit threw Harbs under the bus during the Rice fiasco.

WR and I'm serious with one caveat he must be BPA. Honestly, I think we can go about 5 different ways. BPA from Pass Rusher, WR, LT, CB. Perfect scenario, we get the #1 pick and someone throws draft picks at us to get the best QB in the draft. Worst case scenario, we get the 6th pick in the draft and the can't miss studs are gone leaving Ozzie to take another ILB.

The penultimate play basically summed up the season. We look like the Browns out there. That is probably the biggest insult we can take from this season. We seem to find new ways to lose each week. Oh well.......let's talk about the draft I guess. We can look forward to a nice high draft pick so we don't have to wait until the end of the 1st round for Ozzie to trade out.
