  1. I thought Melvin had done a pretty good job of tackling up to this game. Elam has probably missed more tackles than the rest of the secondary combined and it seems to be catching. Webby even seemed to be taking some poor angles to make tackles and that's really not like him.
  2. The 3-4 is more flexible and makes it harder for a QB/O-Line to identify who is rushing on any given play. That's why teams started to favor it.
  3. Maybe the coaching staff can get in the ear of a few free agents we might want to join us.
  4. I thought the state of the Ravens normally took place within a couple of days after the end of our season.
  5. We would need 2 CBs then Crav. In the pass happy league as it is now you need at least 3 good CBs. I'm not adverse to moving Webb to FS as long as we get 2 more decent corners to pair with Jimmy.
  6. My guess is, John Fox told him we need to replace Manning and rebuild the offense. Elway wants to win now and wouldn't accept they are about to rebuild.
  7. If he is still around in the late 4th to 5th rounds I would like to see us pick Buck Allen from USC. He looks like he is a perfect fit for Kub's system. He runs like Forsett but with a bit more power.
  8. I really like Strong from ASU. He is the kind of WR you can chuck it up for grabs and he comes down with it a lot. That's the sort of WR I feel we should be targeting. I need to do more research on TEs.
  9. You don't have to give me any other options above the chance to root against Cry Brady.
  10. Didn't Kubs have a heart problem at some point during his tenure as HC of the Texans? Perhaps being an OC is just better for his health? Let someone else handle the pressure.
  11. I have to agree with this. I'm not a Pees fan. Even when he is good, there will be couple of defensive calls each game where you think WTF was he doing there. Hell against the Steelers he thought it was a good idea to cover Brown their best receiver with our Daryl Smith on Brown's TD pass. With that said, what he has done with the D with all the injuries has been remarkable. Or should we be giving our props to the secondary coach Steve Spagnuolo.
  12. Speaking of which, I saw Adalius Thomas on tv at the Ravens game. I actually thought he would break the mold of failed FAs when hecwent to NE but even he sucked balls.
  13. Lmao, if they used your philosophy they wouldn't have any parts left to win 1 Super Bowl let alone 3-5. You would have traded all the key parts away. Again if the philosophy was to suck for luck wouldn't the head coach have been complicit in the understanding he wouldn't lose his job. Your argument is illogical. They sucked because they were a poor team without PM, pure and simple and JC lost his job and they started over.
  14. I really liked this kid coming into the draft. If he went to a Power 5 Conference he would have been a 1st round pick. But coming from a small school he just killed it at Senior Bowl Week. He had the perfect NT body with + athleticism (wasn't he the guy that walked about on his hands?) Yes
  15. This is total horse shit. Indy didn't suck on purpose to get Luck. They had no one to replace Peyton Manning when he got injured. Do you think the FO approached Jim Caldwell and told him we want you to lose every game so we can get the #1 pick and draft Luck but oh by the way we will fire you at the end of the season for losing. No team will ever lose on purpose in order to get a higher draft pick as the draft is such a crap shoot. For every Manning there is a Leaf, for every Luck there is a RGIII, for every Flacco there is a Ryan. I think we should petition some NFL teams to get Papa an interview for one of the open GM spots. Can you imagine the interview with the owner? Owner: "So tell me how you intend to turn us into a winner and get us a Superbowl?" Papa: "I start by trading every player with any value for draft picks" Owner: "I don't think other teams will give up a lot of picks for aging Vets with big contracts." Papa: "There will always be an idiot GM that I can Jedi Mind trick into giving up a 1st round pick for a player. If I had been Ravens GM I would have got a 1st round pick for Boldin when he was traded to the 49ers." Owner: "Wow, impressive what else would you do to improve the team?" Papa: "I would tank the next couple of seasons so we can get the #1 draft pick and draft a can't miss QB." Owner: "What!?! We can't do that the fan base would stop coming to the games and we would lose money." Papa: "Don't worry about losing money, I would have traded you for a 1st round pick to another team that would still be making money." Owner: "Great, you are hired."
  16. I just want to see Suggs make Brady cry. It's on the cards with this pass rush. However, the Pats line is better than the Steelers so we better bring our A+ game.
  17. Flacco is worth every penny if he keeps up this level of performance in the playoffs.
  18. There is a lot of win in this post.
  19. He was approached last offseason and wouldn't do it. That said Ozzie has more leverage now with Williams and Jernigan looking good. I would rather spend the money on resigning McPhee than keep Ngata at a $16m cap number.
  20. If he only wants $4m per season then we have to resign him as he is worth that. Anything more and I don't see Torrey back in Baltimore. Regardless we still need to work on getting a couple of big athletic targets for Joe in the draft and/or via free agency/trade.
  21. All of them. The players that made these plays where all channeling their inner Joe Flacco at the time therefore Joe is responsible for the win.
  22. The kicker right? It never dawned on me that it was him until u mentioned it Dee!
  23. It's $7.5m dead money but we actually would have cap savings of $8.5m if we cut him in the offseason. His cap number for 2015 is $16m. He's gone in the offseason unless he takes a huge pay cut.
  24. I see a lot of positives from Hurst. I have to believe that he would have been a reasonably high pick (3rd to 4th round) if he hadn't broke his leg his Senior year. Remember Wagner didn't show anything his rookie year that led us to believe he would be the 2nd highest rated pass blocking RT in the league this year. If Hurst even shows half that improvement going into his Sophmore year we go from having 1 proven player at OT in Monroe to having 3 in Monroe, Wagner and Hurst. All of a sudden our line looks set for a number of years. I expect a big year in 2015 from the O-Line as for the first time in a long time we will have continuity up front. Cohesion amongst those guys can be like signing a Pro Bowler in terms of improvement.
