It's $7.5m dead money but we actually would have cap savings of $8.5m if we cut him in the offseason. His cap number for 2015 is $16m. He's gone in the offseason unless he takes a huge pay cut.

I see a lot of positives from Hurst. I have to believe that he would have been a reasonably high pick (3rd to 4th round) if he hadn't broke his leg his Senior year. Remember Wagner didn't show anything his rookie year that led us to believe he would be the 2nd highest rated pass blocking RT in the league this year. If Hurst even shows half that improvement going into his Sophmore year we go from having 1 proven player at OT in Monroe to having 3 in Monroe, Wagner and Hurst. All of a sudden our line looks set for a number of years. I expect a big year in 2015 from the O-Line as for the first time in a long time we will have continuity up front. Cohesion amongst those guys can be like signing a Pro Bowler in terms of improvement.

I like what Kubs has done so far with the offense. I just think he needs to get Flacco back in the Shotgun a little more often and string out the D with more 4 WR sets. That might give Flacco the matchups he needs to get the ball out quickly and stop the Ds stacking the line and blitzing up the middle. I also think a few more rolling pockets might help solve the problem of the blitz up the middle again as long as there are a couple of targets to the side of the rolling pocket or enough time to chuck it long to the other side. Just little things to keep the D honest and thinking a little can help open things up.

Any given Sunday I suppose. I just think a lot of things have to go right for us to win this game and nothing that has happened in the last quarter of the regular season gives me any confidence that those things will go right. But hey we made it to the dance now we might as well throw ourselves at the prettiest girl there and go out swinging.

I only see 4 gimmes in that schedule. The rest will be tough games.

I can't see us winning. I want to believe but there are just too many things wrong with this football team. Making the playoffs was a win in itself but we are just there making up the numbers I'm afraid.

The good news is the Ravens made the playoffs. The bad news is we have to watch another game of crappy Ravens football again next week.

Maybe the Broncos should move to LA? That way manning can play in nice weather all the way through the playoffs.

I'm not a fan of Pees but how can you fire him with the players he has had available in the secondary? They seem to pluck a new guy off the street every week yet the D hasn't collapsed. The team has had so many issues this year I'm not sure there is a coach on the planet that could do much more with this team than what Harbs has done. The remit for this offseason is to find some playmakers on O and rebuild the secondary. If we are still talking about the same issues this time next year the heads should roll.

I watched a lot of Pac-12 football and I couldn't believe that when this guy was entering the draft there was even a debate about him v Ryan Leaf II.....errr I mean RG III. Colts hit the jackpot both times they drafted #1 in the last 20 years.

I would rather chase an athletically gifted but somewhat raw at the position TE in the later rounds. Graham was a 3rd round pick and had only played 1 year of football after converting from basketball. Antonio Gates was undrafted basketball convert. The guy Cleveland has was an athletic monster that didn't play much college ball. We can take a risk on someone like that because we have Pitta/Daniels/Crock.

Anything above the 113th best is an upgrade at this point on having no one so what else can we do?

A change of scenery can help RGIII. Look at Sanchize in Philly. Go somewhere as a backup and take your chance when a starter gets injured. Somewhere like the Bills or Lions where there are some weapons there might not be a bad fit.

I'm not convinced yet. I still see a 10-6 finish. We are just too inconsistent. I will be delighted with anything more than that. I just hope 10-6 will be enough for the playoffs and well anything can happen then.
