52isUnstoppable Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Check it out. At 11 seconds you see he clearly takes a full step directly towards the field of play. It's not like he is walking forward and inch by inch gets closer to the field. He takes a horizontal step inward as he sees Jones is coming down his sideline. A true dirt bag move. http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2013/12/02/new-video-angle-shows-mike-tomlin-incident-league-considers-punishment/ Quote

52isUnstoppable Posted December 2, 2013 Author Posted December 2, 2013 He's also not looking at the jumbotron when Jacboy is right behind him. Exactly. He's looking over his shoulder and listening to the footsteps as they approach... waiting until the last possible second to jump out of the way (by stepping in the way) to avoid interference. I am disappointed that Jacoby didn't maintain his course and run into him. Then the ref would have been forced to flag him. I'm also disappointed that Jacoby didn't raise more of a stink afterwards.. I know he pointed to Tomlin but he should have jumped right up and ran around pointing and hollering at the refs. He acted like it wasn't a big deal so may be part of the reason the ref didn't flag Tomlin. I just feel like he could have done more to raise awareness of the situation and potentially got us a bigger gain. All that being said the Ref screwed up big time since he was right there and ran around Tomlin and didn't do anything. Quote

You can clearly see him step onto the field when Jones was close enough. said before, lost any respect for tomlin that had Quote

A player shouldn't have to point out the rules to refs or when they are being broken, as clear as that was! That ref needs to be put out Quote
thundercleetz Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Wow that's a lot worse than I thought. The ref has to make that call on the field. Quote
vmax Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 It's a culture of cheating there from the leadership on down....been going on a long time. Mr. "Honest, Forthright, Accountable, High Standard Good Character Guy " Tomlin Bull Shit. He panicked....pooped his pants because he knew that was the game. Quote
oldno82 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 A real bush league move for I guy I used to respect. He's a disgrace to the game and should not only be fined but suspended and lose a draft pick. 1 Quote
OutsideRzAcE Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 The worst part for Tomlin is that he has people who respect and believe in him defending him. Ryan Clark (who never misses an opportunity to say something stupid) and somebody else on his team back him and said they believe he didn't do it intentionally. Many fans are backing him because they think he's earned the benefit of the truth. This is 100 times worse than it could have been because he lied about it at the post game presser and still hasn't come out and owned up to it today. Quote

vmax Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 If you want to "accidentally" trip somebody, then this is exactly how you step. Then look innocent...like "oh...Oh...My goodness what happened?"It's like Tomlin is teaching a class on how to trip someone. Quote
Spen Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 I think it's pretty obvious it was intentional but ultimately I don't think it matters. There needs to be a serious fine. The NFL can't have coaches acting like wwe managers Quote
ForceEight Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 My favorite quote about this whole thing is from Harbaugh: "I'm just wondering, did they credit him with the tackle?" Quote

He can lie all he wants, as Ian R said last night, this will be a huge fine for Tomlin & The Stealers today..Less we not forget that Tomlin sits on the rules committee, so he will be made an example with this fine.. OutsideRzAcE Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 He has a noon presser today. Can you say awkwarrrrrd? Quote
cravnravn Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 (edited) Im calling it right now, 150,000 fine for the Stealers & tomlin and loss of a 5th & 6th rd pick Edited December 3, 2013 by cravnravn Quote
OutsideRzAcE Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Looks like he is doubling down on lying. Apparently he texted Jay Glazer yesterday and said people are crazy if they think he did it intentionally. Quote
tgann68 Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Originally when I saw it I Thot it was a mistake or not as bad. After reviewing all the vids the past few days it is apparent he was trying to impede the play. Dude is douchbag and that would have had a HUGE ripple effect for this organization had we lost bc of it. Quote

52isUnstoppable Posted December 3, 2013 Author Posted December 3, 2013 I figured he did it on purpose but wanted to make it look like an accident. exactly, he had his JumboTron alibi all ready to go. It felt like the end of a Scooby Doo episode "I almost got away with it too, had it not been for those pesky jumbotron operators snooping around" Quote
