It’s been a rough month for the Ravens.

In fewer than four weeks, three players on the team have been arrested. Joining running back Ray Rice and receiver Deonte Thompson is guard Jah Reid.

According to the website of the Monroe County, Florida Sheriff’s office, Reid wasarrested early Sunday on two misdemeanor charges of battery.

A third-round pick in 2011, appeared in 10 games with no starts in 2013. He’s due to become a free agent next year.

I think he will be cut this week. He has brought nothing to the team.

Crean said that police were called to the bar and reviewed surveillance video, which showed Reid fighting. Crean said that police reviewed the video and saw Reid was bumped into by another man with an argument then unfolding The police said that Reid was seen head-butting the other man before punching and kicking him.

When the bar security officials intervened, Crean said Reid began punching them, according to the affidavity. One security official suffered minor facial injuries, a split lip, Crean said.

I think the Jamal Lewis's incident happened while he was in college.

Anyway...this made ESPN headlines "Reid is the third Ravens player to be arrested in 22 days"

When you start hitting 3 players then you have the beginning of an epidemic.

I think winning the Super Bowl went to a lot of players heads and they spent more focus on "the glory and the fame" than on what they had to do to get better. I think many felt that they didn't have to do much more than show up last year....and that was evident in the teams overall performance.

I think the players also either consciously or subconsciously thought they had conquered the mountain and there wasn't the big prize to play for anymore since they already had attained the ultimate goal in the NFL.

Every morning when I get up I read the obituaries to make sure I am still alive and the police blotter to see what the Ravens are up to.
