ravinmaniac52 Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 The Carroll County Times reported Monday, via a source close to the player, that McClain "is in a better place mentally," is working out regularly and has been telling people for months that he plans to return to football in 2014. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000332430/article/rolando-mcclain-reportedly-planning-nfl-comeback
ravinmaniac52 Posted March 10, 2014 Author Posted March 10, 2014 Make him play here, if they let him. Might turn out to be a very ST player.
Robjr83 Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 knowing our recent luck he'll be in police custody by the weekend
colincac Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Nice to own his rights still when we're in need of MLB depth, can't hurt to give him another shot, nodody will be paying him more than the Minimum.
vmax Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 It's nice to know that he's in a better place mentally.I am too!!!
oldno82 Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 What the hell, give him a try. We've already had 3 arrested---so far. But if McClain really has reformed, and it sounds like he might have, it wouldn't hurt to give him a chance.

An NFL roster spot is too valuable to waste on a guy with head problems.
Oldschool739 Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Invite him to camp and make him earn it. An NFL roster spot is too valuable to waste on a guy with head problems.I'm pretty sure he would still have to serve a suspension when he returns, and the guy is just trouble ridden like pac man Jones and such.....We'll have Daryl, Brown, Bynes and whoever else Ozzie picks up....We'll be good without the likes of him, IMO.
Robjr83 Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 The charges were dropped, or reduced, yes? It's been about a year so I guess they were dropped...doubt they'd wait this long without charging him, don't even know if they can legally do it

Robjr83 Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 I was talking from a legal standpoint... the NFL can do whatever it wants
Oldschool739 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I was talking from a legal standpoint... the NFL can do whatever it wants Unfortunately , that is true.....I thought you were talking about suspension though...
cravnravn Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Screw him, we have enough issues on this team right now, we still have court hearings for the 3 knuckleheads, then as stated above we have Adolph Goodell to worry about. All 3 could beat their charges, yet could wind up with 4 game suspensions or more.(still concerned about Rice and the elevator cam)
