Spen Posted March 27, 2015 Author Posted March 27, 2015 It will be fun to hear him get slammed by some for saying Omar is his favorite character.
papasmurfbell Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Omar was the best character on the show. I have never heard anyone say they hated Omar. He was a total realist. I loved him on the stand in court.
Spen Posted March 27, 2015 Author Posted March 27, 2015 Oh I liked Omar too (Lester might have been my favorite) but I can see some idiots trying to make a big deal of Obama's favorite character being a criminal.
papasmurfbell Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Then I would say look at the online discussions. he is pretty unanimously the #1.http://www.buzzfeed.com/kelleylcarter/ranking-the-characters-on-hbos-the-wire-by-likability#.ayX1yW9oV http://blogcritics.org/top-25-characters-from-the-wire/
Spen Posted March 27, 2015 Author Posted March 27, 2015 I guess I am wrong, I should have never thought or posted that some of his critics might attack him for his favorite character choice. Its just a crazy fantasy world I live in where I thought it was a possibilty some rival politician or pundit who may have never seen the show might be given a short list of Omar's deeds and use that to mock the presidents choice. I'll see what I can do about having my foolish posts removed.
RavenMad Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 I'm still in shock over the airplane crash in France. I can't believe the copilot could be so cowardly. By all means take your own life if you really feel the need to but to take 149 innocent people with you is just a despicable act and I hope he burns in hell for eternity.

While still very safe there are so many things that could go wrong when flying. No we have to worry about depressed pilots too.
papasmurfbell Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Can anyone confirm that the autopilot can't accidentally be turned off with the movement of the stick?
papasmurfbell Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Sarah Fleisher just announced her retirement on 98 Rock. Another legend is leaving.
cravnravn Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I did enjoy listening to Sarah in the mid day, 98 Rock was basicall the only station I could pick up on my portable radio in the UPS truck.
cravnravn Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 The 100 year old question has been answered, o er our friends house yesterday.. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10152879077175852&set=a.351145495851.155953.502635851&type=1

cravnravn Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 It's all calm in Baltimore eh? We on our way to the airport, can't wait to sit in front of a table full of steamed crabs..
dc. Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 You'd never know anything happened these days... Just how most people want it. Though I prefer Buck's take: some things shouldn't go back to normal
cravnravn Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 What is that white blimp sitting over the bay area?
papasmurfbell Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 They have been "testing" a new radar. There is a belief that it has high end cameras on it and looks down on people.
dc. Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Those are the Aberdeen Proving Ground radar blimps they have been testing. Several over the area, one right over the proving ground that looks like it's hovering over 95 when you're on 695. Forget exactly why they are dosed to better than normal radar - done detection maybe? - but I know they got a sight slam when they didn't detect the gyrocopter that guy flew onto the Capitol lawn from Pennsylvania...
dc. Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Just found a few sites saying they are designed to identify missiles
cravnravn Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 My daughter lives in joppatowne pretty close to the gunpowder, pretty crazy seeing it just sitting up there,
