rastaman831226 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Now that Kubiak is the Bronco's new Head Coach, be prepared for Justin Forsett to depart for Denver as well leaving a huuuuuuge hole in the Ravens' running game. Discuss.
cravnravn Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Don't act like we are cap strapped rasta, we can resign Justin, its not like he's getting a mega payday
Spen Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 A running back who will turn 30 during next season might leave? Oh no!
tsylvester Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 forgive him. his quest to bash Flacco went down the drain along with Wilson's four picks and the SeaHawks win. The fact every quarterback in the playoffs threw picks was the drain cleaner.
varaven45 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 With our OL, most serviceable RBs will do. While I would prefer we keep JF, there are a plethora of RBs - FA or draft picks.
varaven45 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Good point Grubber. But... just in case Kubes want to "pirate" away a few players (including Forsett), we can manage and fill the void. Again, for depth and experience, would like to see us keep him but.....its a business.
papasmurfbell Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I wouldn't get pressed over Justin. He can be replaced easily.
GrubberRaven Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I can't recall, but was Justin a good pass catcher? Trestman's offense thrives on that.
rastaman831226 Posted January 21, 2015 Author Posted January 21, 2015 Forsett is the perfect running back for Kubiack's system - he's gone. The running game was and has always been the backbone of the Raven's offense - no Forsett - no running game - no offense. This ain't rocket science.
papasmurfbell Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Come on. There is no RB in the league that is that important.
rastaman831226 Posted January 21, 2015 Author Posted January 21, 2015 I wouldn't get pressed over Justin. He can be replaced easily.Don't undervalue Justin Forsett.
rastaman831226 Posted January 21, 2015 Author Posted January 21, 2015 Come on. There is no RB in the league that is that important. All SB contenders have one thing in common - excellent running games.
papasmurfbell Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 The 2010 GB team ran with Brandon Jackson and 703 yds. NE with Kevin Faulk. The 96 Packers didn't have a steady running game. It isn't 100% needed. RB's can be had cheap and young and perform well.

Forsett will not be easily or ever replaced.
varaven45 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I would say, when it comes to the RB position, the harvest is abundant and the laborers are many. We can find a good one - Forsett or another - and we will be fine.

I would say, when it comes to the RB position, the harvest is abundant and the laborers are many. We can find a good one - Forsett or another - and we will be fine. 100% agreed.

papasmurfbell Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 No I just see where you can find a RB easily. Foster, Charles, Morris, and so many more undrafted or dratfed very low and they have been some of the best in the league.

The Ravens are a prime example of this including Forsett in a Ravens' Kubiak system.
papasmurfbell Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 No not really. How often do you see UFA CB's or QB's be Pro Bowlers?
thundercleetz Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I agree with Papa no way I overspend for Forsett. It's not hard to draft a guy who can step in.
