Tornado700 Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 I know Carolina is favored by a TD or so, but something strange happened involving the Denver bus and a police motorcycle escort. The same exact thing happened to the Ravens bus enroute to the airport in 2001. Remember? No one was hurt in either accident, just some busted fenders. That;s why Denver has lady luck with them this year. I'm taking Broncos to beat the Panthers, 27 to 23. Quote
tsylvester Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Strange one. So many times has the high flying offense met the staunch defense, to be grounded. How many times has the unstoppable offense, quarterback, been stopped? Then there is the Broncos defense, fast, good, but........ Cam is huge, not like Brady who goes down pretty easy. Miller is a smaller end who relies on speed to rush. Can he get Cam down? Peyton, how is that arm, that foot? He has not hit a deep pass in forever it seems, always missing them. This is not an offense that can come behind from big scores.... The only thing I think will keep this game close is the, cough, cough, power going out..... Carolina, offense, defense, is on a roll.. 34-9. Quote
vmax Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 If Denver is to have any shot at winning this game their corners and to have the best game of their lives and blanket the Panthers receivers. They can't give Cam any targets.....the whole game.Peyton has to play mistake free. Quote
thundercleetz Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Everyone is picking Carolina. I say Denver will have Cam's number on Sunday. As bad as Manning has been, Denver's offense left a few TDs on the field last week. Timing was a little off between Manning and Sanders. Even if Manning can't throw the deep ball, he's still a threat in the redzone. Last week's FGs will be this week's TD's. Sanders has a big game as Norman covers DT. Denver 28 Carolina 24 Quote
Spen Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Carolina easily. If Denver finds a way to win I hope Peyton actually contributes, not just gets carried along. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 31-17 Panthers. Peyton is done. His arm is garbage. Carolina comes in with a great D of their own. So the defense from both sides will cancel each other out. That means the offenses will be the key. With Peyton playing like garbage. I expect Carolina to creep up to the LOS and shut the short game down. Denvers D will not ave it that easy. They will be forced to defend the whole field. Also will the shy Cam leaving one less defender in the play? Quote
oldno82 Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Broncos 17 Carolina 16 Manning's swan song. Plus they have Kubiak who has shown with us that he can adjust on the fly. Just a hunch. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 He hasn't shown to be able to adjust to a noodle arm. He did ok and Den I do not think has played anyone like Car. Honestly the SB happened 2 weeks ago between the Panthers and Arizona. Quote
cravnravn Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 The fat forehead will be out of the game by halftime. 41-17 Carolina Quote
Tornado700 Posted February 7, 2016 Author Posted February 7, 2016 I think the 1st quarter and the second will be the key factor for Denver. If they can control the offensive talent of the Panthers in the first half, Denver will win, I predict. Carolina is explosive in those first two quarters. Keep it close, and I'm going with Peyton to win. Quote
vmax Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 The saga of the Big Game point spread continues! Carolina is now back up to a 5.5-point favorite at 13 of 14 Las Vegas sports books as of 8:40 am PT (Aliante is the lone holdout at Carolina -5). Offshore giant Pinnacle had gone to Carolina -6 this past hour, but just dipped back to 5.5. The team with the most interceptions vs the team that threw the most.Over by halftime. Panthers all the way. Quote
TBird Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Defense wins championships. Denver and Seattle have been to last 3 SBs and with strong Dsand running the ball first to set up the pass. Trest came in and almost set a team record with the most passingattempts ever for the Ravens. As much as I want a playmaker like Tredwell we might be better offgettin Hargreaves or Ramsey as CB. One of the 2 shouldthere there. Dallas might take Tredwell anyway. Quote
tsylvester Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 What a game, wow. Once again, Superman, the unstoppable offense against the immovable defense, lost. Great game, seeing Peyton get his second, with a second team, Kubes getting his first as a head coach with the team he played on, Elway getting his as an owner to go with his as a player, now that is too cool.... Quote
Spen Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 The Denver defense was great, they dominated. Carolina also played terribly. Quote
TBird Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Denver discovered kryptonite and that killed CAM. Broncos are crucifying CAM saying he didn't want to win on that last fumble and he didn't dive on the ballwhen he could have and recovered it. He didn't even try. Must have been the kryptonite. Superman got a big dose of humble pie tonight. Quote
Tornado700 Posted February 8, 2016 Author Posted February 8, 2016 Congrats to Coach Kubiak. Good guy and he even gave Coach Harbs some props. at the end of the game. Carolina was supposed to win this game, but something inside told me otherwise. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 For a second time Peyton rode a team to a SB win. Quote
RavenMad Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Every team will be crashing their bus into the police now before the big game. Quote

Fuck elway Quote
TBird Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Ditto, Fuck Elway. I hate that son of a bich. I didn't watch him receiving the trophy. Made me sick seeing him on the side linewith that smug smile on his face. I am happy for Kubes. I loved his work here last year getting usto the playoffs and winning the wild card game in Piss. They wereexpecting us to run the clock down and kick a FG but Kubes saidwe're winning the game now and sent Gilmore on a crossing patternwho caught the ball and ran down the side line for a TD that icedthe game. We sorely missed him this year. I hate Denver. I hate the town. I went up to the hotel restaurantlate after a game the Ravens won with Elvis as QB-lol, and theywouldn't even serve me because I wore my colors. I ended up at a diner outside of town. When I complained to themanager the next day he said you started a fight. I said what, nobody fought anyone. All I said was nice game guys. Is thatstarting a fight? So I wrote the president of the company when I got home and hewas furious enough to fire the bar tender and reprimanded themanager in writing and he sent me a coupon for a free meal thenext time I was in town. On top of all that I got hi altitude sickness in Aspen and was takendown to Denver right away where I spent my first two days in thehospital. Now that is some weird shit being in a hospital in a strangecity and my family had no idea where I was. All my clothes and carwere up in Aspen brought down later by my roomie. All that was a week after 911 and we were afraid to fly so we droveout and stayed in my friend's condo in Aspen but I got sick as soonas we arrived. Never saw it. Quote
oldno82 Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 He hasn't shown to be able to adjust to a noodle arm. He did ok and Den I do not think has played anyone like Car. Honestly the SB happened 2 weeks ago between the Panthers and Arizona. On the contrary, Kubiak adjusted by placing more emphasis on the ground game and defense during the season. And Kubes realized Manning was about done so he limited his throwing to safer, shorter patterns Then he topped it off with a Super Bowl win. I'd say that's pretty good head coaching. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 I give more credit to that OL than to Manning. Knowshown was garbage until Peyton got there. After he got to Miami he was crap. So Peyton now isn't helping by spreading the ball out to keep the ground game going. They did it despite him. Quote
oldno82 Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 I didn't say Manning was why they won. He wasn't. But Kubes knew to reduce Manning's role while still letting him manage the game. That's why I give a ton of credit to Kubiak. And Wade Phillips. And you might not like him but Elway bolstered that defense. Quote
