thundercleetz Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Jonathan Schoop is having a hell of a year: .301/.331/.517/.849 slash line Quote
Spen Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 Once again this team fails when it matters. No 8th in a row win. No any month home run record. Sad! Quote
vmax Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 Once again this team fails when it matters. No 8th in a row win. No any month home run record. Sad! they got the record.... No team has hit more home runs in any June in major league history than the Orioles. Hyun Soo Kim's seventh-inning home run on Thursday extended the O's streak of going deep on June 30 to 23 straight years. That's an MLB record for a team having a homer streak on a specific date. Quote
Spen Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 they got the record.... They got the June record. They are failures at the overall any month record. They can stay on the west coast for all I care!;) Quote
vmax Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 yea....just a bunch of slappies.What a month it was! Quote
Spen Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 This is the game. Tonight. This game. Win this and the team is back on track. Lose it and it's a long slow slide back to the bottom probably resulting in the franchise being moved and Camden Yards being turned into an outlet mall. (Baby Gap? Club level section 252) So tonight it is. July 2nd is going to be looked upon as the key date of this season. Leave it all on the field so you can look your children and grandchildren in the eye when they ask about this date. Tonight. This game. Quote

varaven45 Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 With Ubaldo on the mound, it looks like a sweep by Ms.Yep, hate west coast games. Let's go Os ! Quote
varaven45 Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 Ubaldo struggling again as expected. After watching the SP being sleepless in Seattle, Duquette and Co have got to pick up a starter before the deadline. Our offense is going to continue to score 5-7 runs a game but can't put up 10 every game. If this team wants a playoff birth, we've got to secure a SP.Maybe Sonny Gray in Oakland - who has been rumored as available -is an option. This teams starting pitching is deplorable and we all knew it heading into the season. Time to make something happen in the FO. Very, very soon ! Quote
thundercleetz Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 @MatthewHLeach: Dylan Bundy's last six outings, including today: 14.1 IP, 11 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 19 K, 4 BB. That'll do. He was hitting 97 MPH regularly yesterday. Quote
varaven45 Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Bundys a bright spot but we need more SP than that. We need at least 1 if not 2 seasoned vets/winners. Quote
Spen Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 I'm really happy with the first half of the season. Two games up, going into the break winning 4 out of 5. Nice. They are far from perfect but they are pretty good. Quote
cravnravn Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 1st place at the break, get your popcorn ready. Quote
thundercleetz Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Great first half. A lot of fun to watch. Starting pitching will be an adventure for us, but we have a lot else going for us. Quote
cravnravn Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 Gutsy comeback last night. Gallarado was real shaky last night. Quote
thundercleetz Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 Schoop is becoming a star. He'd be an All Star if it wasn't for MVP candidates Robinson Canó and Jose Altuve also being 2B in the AL. Don't look now but Álvarez's OPS is creeping up to .800! I can't wait to see Bundy pitch on Sunday! Quote
dc. Posted July 17, 2016 Author Posted July 17, 2016 Great wins back to back. Nice pitching. 2nd best RPI in the league. Gotta love it. Meanwhile - I think I forgot to post here, but one of my students was drafted by the O's ... but elected to go to college today. Probably the right choice for him, he'll just get drafted higher in 3/4 years... 1 Quote
cravnravn Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 Congrats DC!! It is great seeing the boys of summer on tv Quote
